Wow Wow Wow, that flex on both rigs on the way in was insane. The Leafy’s on the lux was crazy. Then the switchback, both nailed it up and down. Was great for us to hear about all the changes of line attacks in such a short period. Once again an awesome awesome Vlog. Both should be very proud of that run. I bet a few man hugs were shared.

Yeah it’s been hanging there in the balance for quite a while haha, fell after a heavy wind a few months back. It’s made the switchback a LOT easier that’s for sure.
Hahaha I appreciate that mate, to be honest the switchback is quite friendly now, I wouldn’t hesitate taking any vehicle with 32-33’s with a locker or two or a winch, but yeah when you get to anything above 37’s and twin locks it does make everything look a lot easier than it is for sure. @@timmyhasheart 100%. I used to run a 2 inch leaf allround in my rn105 lux and that did ok. I ran 4 inch efs shocks and removed the bolts on the leaf retainers. Was twin locked and ran 32 simexs which were a 33.. took it down to tassie and done a diff after Balfour track. Ended my week of wheelin after 1 day lol.. Been in patrols ever since though.
Not sure about the bloke raving about them but they’re a Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT and yeah I haven’t used too many tyres but I can say they’re better than a RAZR 👍🏻👍🏻

Yeah that was a few months ago, we cleared it & that’s what you see in this episode, us driving it after the landslide and it’s honestly made it a bit easier 👍🏻

That ln 106 im in love what a beast theres always talk about Nissan vs t Hilux haha. Did he have to change the gear reto for the locking hubs cause don't the ln have elected four wheel drive system that the CVS are always turning?
@@colbymonks7314 that answers my question in a big way cheers. I'm glad you know what I meant straight away. Had a mate he had a ln167 push button 4x4 so the CVS are always turning even in 2wd. So he changed it to locking hubs and gees it really stuffed every up in the gear ratio completely.

To be honest my whole car is noisy so it doesn’t even really phase me but I do find the Mickey to be slightly louder, but yeah they’re not meant to be quiet hey haha
Ahh it’s had bollards now for about 2-3 years, understandably so in my opinion.. people seem to just go around the mud until it ends up as wide as a football oval instead of just sticking to the original ruts. Saw the same thing on climies, bypasses around every single thing.. I dunno why they go 4wding to go around everything but anyway. What annoyed me is people have been going around the bollards and driving up there anyway. Which is a sure way to lose the whole track to getting locked up. 🤷🏻♂️
@timmyhasheart damn righto. Yeah that's the worst part, if you can't do the 1 or 2 lines there because it's too wet or near impossible, you should either wait for a drier season or just walk it like you fellas did. As you said, enough people do it they will just close the whole track

Haha that’s how they are mate. 😂 they’re all the right way, they’re all on correctly, have a closer look, smaller blocks are on the inside, bigger blocks on the outside, it’s just that the wave direction goes the same way both sides like a Bridgestone dueler, but yes they’re all fitted with inside inside and outside outside 👍🏻👍🏻

It’s got 4.7 transfer case reductions, and 4.55 nitro gear diffs and 30 spline chromo axles if that answers the question 🍻

Hey buddy there about the same I had both and no difference to noise.
To be honest my whole car is noisy so it doesn’t even really phase me but I do find the Mickey to be slightly louder, but yeah they’re not meant to be quiet hey haha
how long ago did they block off the tracks up to the look out area???
Ahh it’s had bollards now for about 2-3 years, understandably so in my opinion.. people seem to just go around the mud until it ends up as wide as a football oval instead of just sticking to the original ruts. Saw the same thing on climies, bypasses around every single thing.. I dunno why they go 4wding to go around everything but anyway. What annoyed me is people have been going around the bollards and driving up there anyway. Which is a sure way to lose the whole track to getting locked up. 🤷🏻♂️
@timmyhasheart damn righto. Yeah that's the worst part, if you can't do the 1 or 2 lines there because it's too wet or near impossible, you should either wait for a drier season or just walk it like you fellas did. As you said, enough people do it they will just close the whole track

Haha that’s how they are mate. 😂 they’re all the right way, they’re all on correctly, have a closer look, smaller blocks are on the inside, bigger blocks on the outside, it’s just that the wave direction goes the same way both sides like a Bridgestone dueler, but yes they’re all fitted with inside inside and outside outside 👍🏻👍🏻
