WOW! Southern 1999 drilled the hell out of that field to "Cold Hearted Snake" during that circle drill. It was AMAZING to watch! Also, they should keep that whole "Spirit" fanfare, because it's signature to SU when drilling the games halftime score. It's an attention getter, to let you know Southern ready to do something pretty spectacular. I hope SU keep it, and not get rid of it completely. That would be a mistake.
I see you don’t watch SU consistently or you would not be saying that… As someone who marched four years in that band… They are a bunch of shows… Some are designed to enter from the sideline, some are designed to enter from the end zone, then there’s the L drill, diminishing boxes, etc. this particular year we did the step one drill. It was a long time since SU did that prior to 99. If you watch JSU they march on the field and do that fast March then they pinwheel and play that fanfare then they march up the field to make JSU MARCHING TO A TUNE WHILE COMING DOWN FIELD AND THEN THEY’LL GO INTO SOME FORM OF CONCERT FORMATION, AND PLAY A SONG WHILE the J settes dance and then they will do a dance formation. Every now and then they may add a ballad in there. Saying all of that to say that’s their format, and they stick to it. Most bands have some type of format. SU no different in that regard.
@@sufall96 👀👀 Like I said you can pull out a SU show from the 90s & it’ll be a show they doing right now, they just don’t do the halftime score no more…it’s cool bruh
@@dperfect28 like I said, many programs have a format, which stays the same, but there are nuance differences to the shows… Tell me where it’s different with programs like JSU, FAMU, Grambling ect??? and I know this to be a definite from following band for decades…with that said, what is your point in singling out SU?
R.I.P doc ur legacy will live on
