Here in Dumaguete, a RUclipsr brought to our expat community's attention that we are losing one of us, Juells, who is terminally ill. Juells got on a plane in search of a better life. In the end, he has a loving wife who has been through hell trying to take care of him and provide. He went for the brass ring and got it. In the end, he has an extraordinary woman and children at his side. Instead of dying alone, his final days are at home surrounded by love. Juelles, may you rest in peace and your family receive the Lord's blessing.
Yes it's different here. Put aside some hypocrisy, rather humbling. I seen people sleep in cemeteries, used as thorofares & parking lots, etc. I lived very close to one back in Iloilo when I moved here. I would sit on my 3rd fl. stoop over the road & watch big funerals come by. Some w/bands playing music, etc. I was taken back a bit observing my new culture...
Reekay I have been watching your channel for many years and it never ceases to amaze me all the subjects that you cover and intelligently. Thank you for another great video
When, not if, we die, the most important question is where our spirit, that doesn't die, will spend eternity. I, as a Christian, believe I will spend all of eternity in heaven. Where and how my mortal remains are left is really of no consequence to me. Works for me. As Always, May God Bless you and yours!
That’s another reason why I want to move to the Philippines, I was also there for All Saints’ Day at Buttan city with friends and to have a wife and a family there and be laid to rest there , I would like it better than here , at least if I start a family there, I would feel like I would be remembered better than back in the United States
The best death comes to all who have lived well! Wishing you a long life Reekay but when you pass; please make arrangements to continue informing us about your new abode, You could simply call it ‘Life Beyond’,
Good for you to again...Talk about a subject most expats do not even think about nor consider. Life and death both need to be thought about over there just as adapting to a new and different country like the Philippines. I do the very thing as you do...And it liberates me and makes me more appreciative to life as without death...Life would not have real meaning....Peace
Hi Reekay. Thanks for another great video. Good to see you showing YOUR face again. Though appropriate for the topic, I was a bit shocked by the venue. Real subtle. LMAO👻🤣🤣🤣
Hebrews 9:27. and Genesis 3:19 always come to mind when I visit a cemetery. I often think of all the moments of happiness and sadness, all the memories and the exeriences every person has during their individual lifetime. Our lives are so short when compared on a Universal scale, just a flash across time, or like a grain of sand in the ocean.
if no next of kin, wife or anyone can be contacted.. and there are no trust estate funds for burial... eventually the body goes to the 'potters field'. no marker.

You could simply call it ‘Life Beyond’,
👍
4:08 "For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion." (Ecclesiastes 9:4) 👍
Wow what an experience!
I'm dying to go to the cemetery!

Really no peoples actually face death in the islands. Catholics think they never really die…😊
is this is video of years past???
yes, from dumaguete.
What happens if you die there without a will or burial plans?
if no next of kin, wife or anyone can be contacted.. and there are no trust estate funds for burial... eventually the body goes to the 'potters field'. no marker.
