I almost lost my honour mode run about a few minutes before writing this, my Tav almost died instantly because Ranger and she had like fucking 5 Attacks all with 20-30 damage with her daggers. Two of my other party members also died almost directly after the "duel" and I barely escaped I didnt knew she was this fucking strong and i didnt know what I had to expect because it was my first Dark Urge Playthrough
I lost this fight when I did it. I had a similar build, built around eldritch blasts but even with very good odds I just couldn't touch her and she obliterated me in two turns. I managed to kill her with my other characters and I have to say, I really feared that I would lose my run by losing the dual. Turns out my ascended paladin-sorcerer deva mace user Astarion could solo her with ease, damn this mace is too good
Nice build! I'm almost to Orin and this is the fight I've worried about the most. I am the slayer so she'll start in her other form which I think is harder in regular Tactician. How are you using your bonus actions to cast eldrich blast?
The gear I used was from Act 1. Monster slayer glaive is a +2 item vs monstrosities, but can roll as a +5, or even +5-8 with magic weapon upcast on it too. The Hunter's shortbow grants advantage vs monstrosities too. Gandrel's Aspiration is a heavy crossbow that grants advantage on monstrosity enemies, and has turn undead ammo for the skeletons too.
This is funny enough what I hate about this game. Highlevelspells are garbage to the extent where you are most excited about using your basic cantrips for damage. Why would I ever use desintegrate for a possible 100 dmg if it gets saved way more easily.
hey quick question and i'm not sure if you'd know, but if you are both in slayer form and Orin defeats your slayer do you lose the fight or will she also have to kill your humanoid form?
fighter level 12 elixr of cloud giant strength and attack her like 10 times in one turn lol. btw “broken multiclasses” is how the game is designed to be played
@@thespreer2142literally this. Take a rogue for example, straight assassin or thief is kind of meh, but the second you dump gloomstalker into the mix, it synergizes so nicely and you can get off a lot of attacks with a sizable amount of damage. Plus it's just more fun to multiclass.

She's a monstrosity in slayer form, so those act 1 monstrosity slaying items can really help.
Came to her on the Honor mod of my Durge Sorcerer7/Cleric2/Wizard2. Threw Water, threw a witch charge 5 spell slots = -Orin.

The Slayer form should count as wild shape if Im not mistaken
She kicks you out of slayer, and you can continue humanoid

This fight ruined my honor mode run because I somehow knocked her into the chasm and couldn’t loot her netherstone 🥲
I always knock her down the chasm and the stone should appear on the ground.
try long resting then coming back might be a pouch there
