This week @DesignerHomeTours, we’re in Dallas, Texas visiting the home of interior designer Eddie Maestri. This mid-century home is a bungalow with some of the top interior design trends of 2023. Packed full of renovation ideas (like wallpapering ceiling alcoves and lacquered white ceilings ), this home is not only colorful, pattern-forward, and fun - it’s also family-friendly.
This interior designer shares tips such as making a Samsung Frame TV look like actual art, how to make sliding doors appear to run the length of a room, and how to incorporate textured doors into your home. Eddie is not afraid of sharing ideas for decorating with pattern and color - he shows a tented ceiling, a thoughtfully designed outdoor pool, and ways to use wallpaper in unexpected ways. In a rare move, he actually kept and preserved the original mid-century kitchen.

The area of Dallas where he lives has a lot of gorgeous atypical mid century modern homes but even before the market went nuts they were running a minimum million plus to averaging 2-3 mil even in poor condition.

@@sakinahabdul-jaleel It is very posh! Another area with stunning mid century and soft MCMs are the wealthier suburbs of Detroit, MI between Detroit and Ann Arbor some of those places are just masterpieces, I've even seen a few FLW HSH hit the market up there,

I grew up in a 70’s type of home, nothing as elegant and as this, but some of the interior elements just brings happy memories. I know the kids will have a great childhood here. I love how the rooms ease into one another from sophisticated to casual. Never a dull moment with all the colors, patterns and textures. Love this!
This home is absolutely stunning! Every detail is so thought out. It’s full of beautiful things in the most refined way.

Rarely do I love these designer homes as a whole, this one is incredible. It flows, it looks like a home not a museum and it seems like a stylish, comfy place for a family to live, work and play. Good job Eddie Maestri.

Great job guys. Amazing. Not sure if it is the video, but the white in the primary bedroom looks too cool in colour. A warmer white would look better and it wouldn’t have that cold, clinical,look.
Fantastic design. The soundtrack / music accompanying the video is weird, kitschy and not fitting for this beautiful high-end design.

Too colorful. Mind boggling stuff and colors. No.
It’s one of those houses I would love to visit but I wouldn’t want for myself. the upkeep of all that detail would be way too much for me. And with kids? I know they must feel very restricted
