      Hey dmtkot, Robert is using a theme he created called, "HSS Theme" It's a blue color scheme with white accents to make things easy to see while making adjustments. He also has another one called "HSS Sheen Theme". Both of these themes are included with the VIP Membership. If you're interested in becoming a VIP member, there's a link is in the description.

    Been using this plug-in since it's release. I first tried the demo to see if it would be worth the purchase. After trying it on a session that needed some backup harmonies I was impressed and purchased it. It takes time to learn but once you do, it will be a goto when needing to beef up vocals, harmonies or need some creative ideas. Also a savior when needing backups in a hurry when backup singer/s is a no show. It's easily worth this sale price. Its almost as good as my Vocalist Live Pro Harmony & Effects Processor ($500) board.

    Hi. Thank you for showing me how to start the process of using this plug-in. I heard from another video that the harmonies can be generated from the keys that you are playing on a midi keyboard. If this is true would you do another video on this plug-in using a midi keyboard, please. I would appreciate it very much. Again I thank you for doing this video on this Waves Harmony plug-in. I also wanted you to know that I really appreciated the time you spent on breaking down the genius of what Micheal Jackson put into some of his best recordings. I learned a lot from him and you on the possibilities of what you can put into your own projects to get an even fuller sound and variations into my own music. I wish you continued success with all of your musical videos and an even greater success with your financial endeavors with your music. Have a wonderful day. Thank you again for sharing with us all.

      So many just turn on the plug-in and start singing…. So much goes into drawing a tone which can be both more believable & less downright cheesy!
      We will fool no one, but through judicious use can result in an acceptable level of enhancement for an idea, sketch or project..
      Robert, I’d like a sesh soon. I have new gear & a little discussion would go a long way toward advancement in use.

      Wait, how? Following Waves instructions on their website shows setting the output of a separate MIDI track to the Harmony plugin, but CWbB does not show the plugin as an available "instrument." Can you please elaborate on how you got it to work?

    • @JerrySchneyer
      @JerrySchneyer Год назад +2

      @@merlemiller Insert the Waves plug on the audio track. Select the tab on the very top that says "VST3", then "enable midi input". Insert your midi track and it will show Waves Harmony as an available output. That's all there is to it. The trick is to remember to "enable midi input" on the tab at the top of the plug. I believe you'll find this on nearly every plug that you wish to control via midi.

    Hi Robert. Thanks for doing the vid. Lets be honest guys n gals. The reason us home recorders are always on the look out for these vocal plug ins is because we are on are own and don't have real backing singers. Our hope is that this kind of software will make it seem like you have a girl singing with you or several people. From what I've seen so far (and I have the Eventide version of this) of these plug ins ; is that they fail miserably. I think they can add cool effects to a vocal if your going for pop or such. But if you think this stuff will make you sound like Little Big Town.....nnnnnnnno. I think technology is still a ways off making you sound like The Eagles. Just my 10C y'all.

    I think what it comes down it is, while it would be amazing to have a solid harmony generator for vocals, the bottom line is they all sound like shit, no matter how much you hope they don't. Which is disappointing, because it would be amazing to have one that sounded natural and usable.

  • @aquaticborealis4877
    @aquaticborealis4877 Год назад

    It’s a bit unnatural sounding. If you recorded your vocals a couple of times, brought those together, then used this plug-in, it would probably be better. Without auto tune. Routing instrument sounds through it could also be interesting.

  • @ronmarek1548

    You did wrong since the very beginning.
    First. Make sure to know in wich key is you audio sourse. In other words. In which key you sang. In this case I hear you sang in the key of A Minor. KNOWING that. Then insert the waves harmny. That's not all. Before trying to harmonize with the plugin. PUT the right KEY in the pluging before anything. In this case your "Hello darkness my old friend" audio is in the key of A Minor. So, WHY the hell are trying to harmonize it in C or F Major or D Minor? big mistake.. Those aren't the key. That's the reason your harmony trying sounded ridiculously awful.
    If you would have put in A Minor (being specific). It would have sounded glorious.
    You know. Every song has his own key tuning.
    Have a great music time.
