- Today, I want to share my Pride and Prejudice collection with you all, which is made up of some really beautiful and funky editions of Austen's most popular novel. Also, I apologize for the weird audio, my microphone decided to act up on me.

We stan a Pride & Prejudice loving queen!
Fun fact about that portrait of Jane inside the cover of that old, sun-faded edition. It's actually painted by her sister, Cassandra, and is the only authenticated, drawn-from-life portrait of her! Most of the portraits you see of her are usually variations on this one since this was the only contemporary to Jane reference that they had. Pride and Prejudice is also my favorite book (clearly lol) so I love seeing your collection! Can't wait to see more Austen content from you!

Omg, I have this really beautiful edition of pride and prejudice. It's in German unfortunately, so it's not as universal and accessible as the English version, but it is so incredibly pretty. It has Darcy's letter as an ACTUAL letter, like envelope and all, included. It's so pretty, I can't even put it in words

@@happyjellycatsquid It's the Coppenrath edition illustrated by Marjolein Bastin, they currently have a few Austen books in this edition. Just Google "Coppenrath Jane Austen" and it will come up:)

your curls look so good omg. i’ve never read pride and prejudice but i’m very intrigued. the vintage classic version is so eye catching! I love the sun burned edges on the oldest copy you have, it makes it so beautiful. omg the manga hahahaha that really surprised me. wow those teal edges!!! 🥺 the illustrated version is so gorgeous!!! i love how they did the letter!!! woah the annotated one is a big boi!!! i love your collection!!!

Pride and Prejudice is my all-time favorite book and I also collect different editions of it! There are so many different and fun ones! I have almost all the same ones as you! Haha that manga one is on my wishlist too. ❤️

You're making me want to buy another edition of P&P (although I will probably be killed by my mother if I come back with yet another edition of this book)! My favorite edition that I own is the coloring book I bought a few years ago. I will never color it because I don't want to ruin it but it's so beautiful, the cover has gold foil details and is honestly the most beautiful book I own.

I know I am late to this video but I just discovered your channel. That portrait in the book your sister got you was panted by Cassandra Austen Jane's sister and it is the only actual portrait of Jane Austen.
I finally decided to start reading and I didnt know where to begin, which books to buy first, but I think Jane Austen is a good start, right? Thank you!
Ok i really gotta find that manga one lol. I saw an edition of P&P fpr children and it was soooo cute! It was more pictures than story but was still real cute, might be a good adition for a collection.

oh my gosh I´m so happy I´m not the only one to have more than one Pride and Prejudice. Everyone looks at me like I am some weirdo :D I have two at the moment - one is the Macmillan collection and other is a czech edition from 1986. And I´m on the look for another one (czech 1974 and 2006 - it has beautiful movie cover), although I´m gonna buy 1986 edition again cause my rabbit kind of chew up the cover so I need another one :D. I´m not crazy I swear

Have you read "North and South" by Elizabeth Gaskell? I'm a big P&P fan too. But recently I'm really starting thinking that in some point "North and South" is even better (I know, I know, it's heresy 🙃)

manga edition is important because lizzie is the original tsundere
btw, when you reread the book, do you tend to read it in all of your different versions or do you have a certain one that you usually go to?
