Huge fan of the original dark Grimm fairytales. This is great! Listening to these stories while I knit, crochet or cross stitch adds to my relaxing mood. Mucho gracias. 😊
As a German I grew up with a lot of these fairy- and folktales but there were still some which I didn't know before and that brought me a lot of joy :3
😅 i lowkey love dark stuff before i sleep but I try to keep it to a minimum with my videos hahah. Gonna turn it up a notch for October/Halloween though 😉
Back when I was a young lass, my mother would sit beside my bed reading me fairytale stories from the Brothers Grimm. Oh how I cherish those moments. Thank you so much for these! I'm reliving my childhood all over again. Looking forward to more stories ❤
Staying the night at the hospital for a sick parent can be stressful which doesn’t help get you to sleep. Thanks to your video I was able to knock out and sleep like a baby ❤ thank you for making this content!!! it helped me a lot in a very crappy time

Aww, these are my favorite, thank you! The Snow White story reminds me of when I was in high school I had Dopey on a hat I would wear when running. We got to wear hats in school one day so I wore that hat. Unbeknownst to me, my brother had taken a red correction pen and drew bloodshot lines on Dopey's eyes 🤦🤣 My favorite: Snow White. I can't remember a lot of them right at this moment cause i"m about to drift off to sleep but, pretty much any Grimm story. Thanks for the uploads!!
😂😅♥️ thats such a cute memory thanks so much for sharing!!! i didnt include it here as I sort of wanted to use it for a future video but my favorite is Sleeping beauty! (or little brier rose as the Grimm bros called it)
What a great theme!! So few appreciate the cultural role these tales have played. BTW Greensleeves is a perfect intro for your stories. So happy to spend another night surrounded by a Fox story 💫
Thanks Fox! I’m looking forward to this one! I love fairy tales. I also love folktales from around the world so more of those would be great! Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺 😊

You are the best ASMR storyteller! I have a suggestion for a post-maybe you could do a Tom Bombadil story! I love LOTR and I know many who were disappointed his character was left out of the movies. He’s so whimsical and such a calming character I think he’d be very popular! I know I’d be thrilled. Thank you for the great sleep!
thank you 🥹 so kind of you to say!! ill look into it! I love LotR as well and already have a few videos for it planned in the near future 😁 sitting in the drafts 😅
Dang, what a soothing voice! I turned this on as I was going to bed and expecting to hear at least one or two stories before falling asleep. Nope. I didn't make it past the intro. Now I have to listen all over again.😅

thanks so much for listening!! im glad you enjoyed! I knew this wouldnt be for everyone due to the nature of the stories but ive fallen asleep to actual horror in the past so I had a lot of fun with this one 😂😂♥️

I love the Brothers Grimm stories. Simply amazing! Great choice Fox!! 😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤ My favorite is Tom Thumb, Little Red Ridding Hood, Snow White, Hansel and Gretel. Hey Fox I've got a curious question how long does it usually take for you to write your stories and put it all together for us? I admire you so very much for your hard work and dedication to your work and story telling. KEEP them coming my friend. ❤😊❤😊❤
amazing choices Jennifer!! ♥️♥️😁 for this particular video I didnt write any! i just read them out from translations I found! but usually it takes 2-3 days to write and then I can record it in a couple of hours give or take x thanks so much for your sweet words friend ♥️ ill definitely keep em coming
@@DozingDragonASMR Wonderful I'll keep an eye out for your stories. I must admit I've become a little obsessed about your stories, they're so well done and relaxing.. I actually can sleep thorough out the night. ☺ THANK YOU!!! ☺️❤️🥰☺️

Hey Fox 🦊 I forgot abt your "immersion" preliminaries and I absolutely miss them sooo much! Pls consider adding back to the newer content here and there, if you happen to see this comment! lol 😂 It's great for the ASMR concept & really sets the tone to relax bc you don't even realize how tense you are prior to settling in properly for the video. Very thankful! 🙏🏼 I'm assuming ppl complained like always, as I've seen some of the comments myself! Somehow some ppl see the immersion as a delay to the stories and so you removed it, but don't listen to them bc your diehard fans love any excuse to hear your voice a lil longer! Haha 😂❤
😅😅 ur spot on! its hard to find the perfect mix, some love it some hate it LOL trying to do a bit of both so everyone has something they like :) thanks for the encouragement and support friend, ur awesome ♥️😄
Its a bit tough to categorize that properly 😅 I do so many videos that are in established worlds and in the context of the existing lore, so I’d feel weird calling those “mine” even if I wrote the actual text in them. but ill give it a shot soon 🫶🏼
this is perfect for me! just the voice, no music the low fire sound after is ok. the other version however, ends with dynamic music that wakes me up so sadly, i can’t use that one😢
I enjoyed the. However, I'm not sure a child would be able to sleep afterwards. They are mainly have a moral story. But knowing they are German make sense. Between Germans and Russians I don't know which have darker tales.
its actually wild how many cultures and countries have fairytales that are quite dark or depressing, atleast by today’s standards 😅 ive always enjoyed stuff like this though, and often fall asleep to straight up “horror” stories 😂
I find the Juniper tree story quite interesting. Juniper berries can be poisonous, depending on the species and the amount consumed. The berries of the common juniper (Juniperus communis) are generally considered safe to eat in small amounts, but can be harmful in large quantities. They contain essential oils that can cause kidney problems, stomach upset, and diarrhea. Some species of juniper berries, such as J. sabina, are toxic. And Juniper berries may affect pregnant or breastfeeding women, even in small doses, so the very abundant amount the first mother/wife ate could have easily led to her passing. It makes me wonder if this tale was meant to be a warning of sort towards juniper trees and their berries. A lot of the folk stories have those kinds of messages or warnings attached to them thought to keep people and young ones away from the source of potential fatalities.
thats so interesting!! i really had no idea of the context but having read this, it rly does seem like the case! stories and allegories are super effective in helping us remember and make sense of the world around us for sure. thanks for sharing! learn something new everyday 😅♥️
As soothing as fox is to listen to, I was unable to fall asleep to these. A bit too macabre for sleeping. Maybe something like "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" would've been more suitable.
I like these stories. Even though they are very dark stories after hearing about how the grim brothers were living in a time of much starvation and third world poverty. Because it helps me to be greatful even for the tinest blessings. Because sadly in times in history of even now there is 3rd world poverty and it makes some people go completely insane and they have many secret stories that never been heard. So even the story of the bird and that he becomes a bird is comforting to me that I imagine he is free and recognized as beautiful and precious and his story. But yet it's a made up story. But sadly some stories and history never been heard. But yet when people die innocently they receive the reward easily of heaven. Because life is temporary and heaven is eternal and the afterlife. And so the boy was free and symbolically his story lived on secretly and quietly and beautifully even as a song bird. And he was cherished by God and his sister. And the stories that were real and true and secret and never been heard. The innocent they were still recognized by those that loved them and they were free symbolically like a bird, and their story lived on even quietly and a mystery. But yet the innocent they easily were able to go to heaven and have eternal blessings in heaven and even the light of their innocence and preciousness lives on like the quiet birds and beauty of the Earth, but yet their stories were never heard. And just the silent beauty of the nature lived on and the evil died away. And the beautiful song lived on in God's creations, and seemed to sing songs and tell stories, and all the Earth wondered what the birds and nature seemed to say, about the history of also the people even in sadly poverty times.
they was my story's lol at 8 yrs old I can rember my dad's German a$$ reading me these story's and then telling my friends then the friends said night your stupid that's not how they go lol lol I told them yes they are lol good evening even love them all now my stories time all new ones old ones n all send me news ones and all love you bros❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

No never has it been that ever... I have the actual book in front of me.
some background ethereal ambience throughout would be relaxing?
Your voice is very wholesome 😍, perfect for bedtime stories. However these stories ain't it for me. I did the breathing techniques in the beginning like you said and everything just to hear a few minutes later about a kid being chopped up and eaten in a soup. Hell no! I woke right up. I'll listen when the sun is up😂. Y'all not bouta give me nightmares.
LOL 😂😂 very very fair! my other videos arent as macabre id say, but the Grimm Brothers stories definitely aren’t for everyone in the nighttime 😅 thanks for giving it a shot anyways 🫶🏻
@DozingDragonASMR I love greek mythology so I'll be listening to those videos. Keep up the good work! 💜😊
