I know Ive chosen the wrong battle as these bikes and surrons have die hard community is all good were all electric at the end of the day and most guys that ride these are coming from dirt bikes to them this is quiet. Road bikes and trail bikes are different but we all need AMPS and WATTS I'm here for everyone, but everyone has a preference.
Im just reviewing it My Ebros ride not changing anything your probably right although the surron that I had didnt have regen set up at all just the drag from the chain turning the motor seem it didnt freewheel good. I dont think this one has it on either as same person he doesnt like regen
@@Smokey00yeah you know it was even louder Smokey because I didn't have a helmet on. Clearly nothing wrong with it those that ride trails love the noise. Most of those guys coming from dirt bikes to them that's quiet now to you tesla drivers and we wanna be Teslas with hubs it's noisy lol
Bro, weight distribution and gearing flexibility are two reasons it's not even a debate. I'm not sure you actually know what you're talking about. lol.
@@cloudriz I think you dont know which one is steak and which one is the hot dog i dont ride Trails i go fast and dont hear that noise? I think you on the wrong ch
@ChrisCrossingWires1212 Bro doesn't know what he's saying just let him be. He obviously hasn't seen your work on that RZ or Stealth Bomber. However, I am curious to hear why you prefer hub drives over middrives. I only had hub drives but I do hear lots of people saying mid drives are more elite
@@pill5384 for one I dont like the noise, 2 top speed and acceleration based on gearing and normally you have to choose one or the other when I can have both with a direct drive. Mid drives have to run at high rpm to maintain hi speeds unless its geared for that then acceleration be slow as hell and they have to work allot harder. The regen is ten times better on a hub and hubs are far more effient. No way I could maintain 60-65mph with low wattage. Put a surron on highway and let it try to keep 65mph for about 10miles. Most cant maintain high speeds that long. I dont do off road so id rather have that heavy weight in my wheel as seems much more stable on the road and they probably are eleite to them if they do off road. Ill go back to the beginning about the noise I love the quiet from direct drive. Might as well stick with gas if I gotta listen to that noise it totally bothers me if that were the only difference that one reason would be enough its a terrible sound to me. If my first ebike had been a mid drive and sounded like that i doubt id persued this it was the quiet instant acceleration while making no noise that did it for me.
Hub motors suck. They are really bad off road but maybe it doesn't matter for pavement princesses! I am an engineer and a mid drive is way more safe and balanced. You kids keep buying your cheaply made and poorly engineered, heavy hub motors
That's what I ride on this ch pavement princesses this was an anomaly and just a test ride of this bike so you will never see another mid drive dirtbike here so let's both agree not to have this conversation again. I agree mid drives make since for the dirt. I don't play in the dirt that's for you kids as you stated. Beings tho I'm 52 and just look this way, I think I'll enjoy continuing to look this way now go play with your friends in the dirt. To me that sucks and BTW I'm an engineer as well. Anything else I post on my ch I don't have to tell you that. I'm sure you do have to tell people that cuz I'm sure no one is interested in what you're doing in the dirt Mr Engineer

Hubs are better for lowkey bikes and on the road, mid-drive for offroad, but can also do on-road nearly as well.
BDP in the house! RIP scott la rock.
Let me know when you make it bro!
Did you change regen settings? Maybe that’s why the freewheel is smoother on this then Surrons

That’s interesting to know, I’ve never ridden either but my stealth bomber clone is coming in a few weeks after being delayed for a month can’t wait!
@@ChrisCrossingWires1212 The regen has 4 modes, but I normally leave it off
@Smokey00 yeah I know you don't use it I know it was coasting way too good
@FatDoby good choice Bro you know I love those quiet hubs this thing hella noisy
its got a fun lively sound
I see the title.. but i really thought u were riding gas... So NOISY!!! 👉🏾😖👈🏾
So strange to hear all that noise on one of your videos. I hate the noise also
Not so bad when you ride the bike tbh, the camera picks it up better than your ears would.
Imagine riding a bike bike. You learn to love it. Bike needs to speak to you.

Oh yea, I'll never go mid drive 🎉
Yeah that's why I never could do the Surrons I don't like that noise
REHAB haha
You don't like mid drives? What you like hub drives? That's very very odd. Like saying you like hot dogs over steak.

i just know every time i had a hub motor the nylon planetary gears strip out and the metal ones I used fked the ring gear
