I've been recently diagnosed with depression and anxiety and I just feel so guilty that I cannot love God the way He loves me or the way that He would want me to........ BUT THANK YOU LECRAE.

Most days I don't even want to be alive, i just don't want to be here...... but it's by His grace that i'm here- even after a failed suicide attempt. It's something He wants me to learn or do on this earth. I feel dirty and shameful and that my presence is not worthy enough for God- But He sent His son so His presence could be worthy of me. My advocate, my teacher and my friend. No matter my shame, my guilt or my hurt- God will always be here.

coming up on 6 months clean and sober and things are coming back together, i sat in the middle of my new apartment today and cried my eyes out listening to this song. first time i've ever heard it. So many times we feel so far from God or that our sins are too much for God to love or forgive.. God just wants willing hearts. I don't care what anyone says about Lecrae, if we're going to be honest this was a really powerful and hard working album that Lecrae has made. This is definitely in the conversation of best album of the year no doubt. Did a 180 earlier this week. I brought him ashes and dirt after years of being blessed and highly favored. Everything he gave me and this is all I can give him in return. Ashes!!! of the life his Grace provided!!! Dirt!!! My once holy garments filty full of dirt, torn and ripped from everytime I fell, me torn down to feel less than dirt knowing that all I am is dirt. Asked Him as dirt, full of dirt covered in dirt, offering ashes "Papa this is all I have an all I am, forgive me!!! Help me I'm lost, hopeless and afraid because I look to who I once was in the Kingdom and know I can't return to who I once was those years are over... and who I am now I despise. Who will I be or where will I go I am full of shame how could I ever proclaim your Name ever again knowing I walk over your Son's blood to get to the dirt I got in" He said it was shed for you to... even for your darkest years. That was hard to swallow I hated myself more in that instance then ever before!!! I knew in that moment I was a thought in Jesus's mind at some point when deciding the Cross... So I began again and stood up turned around looked for the light reconnected the light inside of me to the source and started my journey back. And got word almost immediately keep coming this way we got you!!! I quickly said I have no vision no dreams no hope no desires my only desire is to be there not here I've lost everything... they replied no you haven't keep coming... I said all I have is dirt and ashes nothing else... they said we know just bring it have you forgotten what the Master can do with ashes & dust!!!

I like the part where Jawan says it just a little dirt. It's just a little stain. Trust me you're still worth it just going through the pain, don't be so hard on yourself. That part "don't be so hard on yourself" just stuck with me because sometimes I do beat up on myself too much if I accidentally sin or intentionally and I feel this shame and condemnation and I know that God is faithful, but it still doesn't change the fact that you're moral and with being moral means you struggle with your old sin nature. Does anybody else feel the same? Can anyone comment and tell me if you experience a similar situation?
Brian Ellis I'm the same way. It's like every time I mess up, I start beating myself up, wondering why I even bother trying to be a good example of a Christian, much less an example at all. That bad habit has literally rendered me unable to love myself or even see myself in a positive light as of late, because I'm too focused on being a perfectionist rather than accepting that God's grace is enough. But I believe that's why Jesus DIED for us all despite our flaws and mistakes. He wants to free us from those condemning lies that we're not good enough so we can realize just how much we're "Worth It" to Him. Praying for you Brian!

I was feeling lost & broken tonight in regards to the sexual abuse that I went through as a child... I cried out to God and truthfully, I cursed at him in anger over what had been done to me... Danm, i find myself being a slave to pornography. I'm trying to stop but everytime it's like i say i'll stop then maybe a day or even a week later i succumb to my lust and say "just one more time, then i'll stop" only to do it again the next day. I Pray to God asking for guidance to keep me on the right path, to lead me to a way of keeping my self from falling for my lust, but it's like i always loose.

your addiction is faced by many people all over the world. it's not abnormal, the world is impossible to live purely in all the time. we all fall short, but know that there are plenty of others that are going through the same thing you are, you are not alone, so don't beat yourself up about it, just pray to God about it, and maybe join a Church addiction Group. Man, there a lot going on in this world. This song explains a lot of what's going on. This song is like an inspiration to me. When I go to church our youth group has us teach every once in a while. It's not to often when we do this though. But I was teaching and I happen to listen to song before I teach. Well a lot of what I taught was based on this song. It touched a lot of people.
