Please stop saying the Timeless Child is a retcon. It's not. If the Timeless Child is a retcon than so is The Day of The Doctor.
Honestly, I like the idea of Time Lord sleeper agents but I hope it doesn't come with some convoluted relation to the Doctor.
And then I feel like I got struck by a rock.. time told 13, who was split into 3 at the time "Nothing is forever. No regeneration, no life. Beware the forces that mass against you and their master".. now easily explained regenerated and the master und the cybermen und the daleks..
And then time says I reunify you.
But for how long
All timelords are Galifrayians yes but not all Galifrayian are timelords!
I like the theories that tie her to the gods. Particularly those that focus on threes:
- Ruby, Mrs. Flood, and S. Triad herself squaring off against Sutekh in three different locations
- The three Sunday women coming together to channel some sort of cosmic power, possibly brought to light by either Rose Noble or Mrs. Flood (two characters who know more than they seem to)
- Ruby dropping herself as a baby off at the church, and also doing something with the TARDIS through the Time Window (thus completing the Christian trinity of Mother, Daughter, and Holy Ghost)
If Susan is the one who left Ruby, maybe Ruby isn't the Doctor's great granddaughter. Maybe she's his _daughter_ . After all, we did have that seeming throwaway line where the Doctor said he'd had a granddaughter, but hadn't met his children yet, due to "life of a time lord" (wibbly wobbly time lines).

@Snuzzled - well we keep hearing it is Ruby’s mother who left her at the church… so if Susan is Ruby’s mother and the Doctor is the father that’s the conclusion I came too as well reading this theory…
I think it won’t be this for that reason, it would take too much explaining for people not to jump to this conclusion
This has got me thinking: if Ruby is a Time Lord (or something else), could she regenerate? If so, could Varada Sethu be playing a regenerated Ruby Sunday in the next series, rather than an entirely new companion, similar to Romana II?
Maybe she's the daughter of Horus, Sutekh's brother and god of Life and Light. Or of Hecuba, Sutekh's daughter and goddess of Time and Traps.
I find the theory of Ruby being a hidden Time Lord very intriguing. I think I read somewhere that Ruby won't be in the next series. Could this be due to The Doctor not wanting to put a hidden Time Lord in danger of being recognized while traveling around in space and time?

My theory is Varada Sethu is playing Ruby’s next incarnation, if she is indeed a time lady.

Hasn’t heard the theory about timelines being scattered around as babies. I like that and would like it even more if the hooded figure was the Rani and it was her initiative and biological meddling that was behind it. That would set up a season 2 arc of finding them all before the Rani

I would say Carol Ann Ford/Susan will be somehow be involved as she was invited to the 60th anniversary premiere. However I can’t see how she will be included, perhaps season 2?
Just occured to me, there is an obvious theme of families in this series. And in the Legend of Ruby Sunday the doctor claimed to have a grand-daughter but "not yet" having a daughter.
He also made a point of pointing out where Susan and he were in 1963 and we don't know anything about Ruby's parents.
Could it be that Ruby is the doctor's daughter?

Though frankly, what does that matter - have you been living under a rock since the 50s. Mixed race children, even when humans rather than timelords, can have any skin colour.

The person who picked up the Master’s ring was Miss Trefusis, his follower. It’s implied that Lucy hated him by that point.

I think there is still a possibility that Mrs Flood is Susan. With her line about always hiding away fairly soon after Tge Doctor in a different scene saying that Time lords sometimes change their faces to hide away. If Me F isn’t Susan then I’m sure she’s A timelord.
I feel the timelord vibes, just don't understand why if it was susan why she wouldn't just come out and say.. grandad it's me.. why she gotta be all spooky haha.

Hear me out I've got a new theory.. rewatching wild blue yonder since this is where everything began..
O.o the no-things said that shape was a hard concept and limiting. They went on about shapes the four of them a bit. Then the doctor felt off using salt and superstition at the edge of the universe where the veil is thin.
Kate called the mist like stuff around the tardis a shape. Referred to it as such until sutekhs reveal...
What if the no-things made it back to the universe anyway? Attached to the tardis somehow?
What if the no-things are assuming identities? Such as sutekh? >> what if, like humans, some of these no-things are also good...? What if Ruby is a no-thing herself?
The no-things can shape themselves around our memories through time? Like the time window?

The Trickster Daughter? That’s my theory trickster theme was played on devils chord when Ruby was humming, hooded figure only hooded villain I know is trickster & hooded figure didn’t want to be seen trickster got a mention in legend of Ruby Sunday too could Ruby be actually sky smith the trickster actual daughter all makes sense to me sky smith was also left. I hope it’s nothing stupid like Ruby herself. Still lot mysteries to be solved Susan triad technology that’s was too coincidental for it been sutekh but glad it happened epic to see classic villains back would love trickster to be in finale revealed as Ruby parent. Who’s Mrs flood screams secret timelord I reckon the Rani remember doctor said in episode timelords hide away & mrs flood said I’m always hiding myself away but she knew sutekh was coming when saying he waits no more or is she on about someone else who unit said were chasing at start of episode & don’t know if u notice master theme was playing briefly when Ruby rushed back to time window surely master getting a rest I would prefer he gets a rest maybe gold tooth been released by someone that has master trapped in I have no clue on who would pick up gold tooth but last time master was trapped in a ring & got released in the end of time.

I have a theory. I think you've theorized the first part of it in a previous video.
What if Ruby's mother is Hecuba. The Harbinger of Mistro is Henry who I think is Mastro's son. So what if Hecuba, knowing about Sutekh's arrival, placed her daughter at the church so she could bring her in to defeat Sutekh. Hecuba probably has the skill set to defeat Sutekh as she is the queen of time. This would make Ruby an Arbinger as she took the surname of her adopted mother and the name of the road where she was found. Her name would be something beginning with an "H".
The second theory builds on the first but is weaker.
What if The Doctor is also a Harbinger of Hecuba. It takes twice the power to remove Sutekh than to summon him perhaps.
Theory Three, again partly yours.
Sueson was tricked into having a child with and by the Trickster (again a Harbinger) to defeat Sutekh but will be up against The Trickster in the next season. (depending on power level) But Sueson is also Mrs Flood in disguise - a perception filter or something. (Again, like what you've said)
Theory four.
Some amalgamation of the three.

i think ruby is most likely to be the tricksters harbinger. it has been shown she can distort time (like in boom when she was injured and near death time stopped for a while and snow fell) and she can initiate and influence time loops (73 yards) which are basically the tricksters powers. the reason we cannot see the face of the person who dropped her at the church and that same person can apparently see sutekh before anyone else would suggest it is another being from outside the universe. the costume she is wearing is also very similar to the tricksters robes.

It'd be nice if Ruby was Hecuba the Queen of Time's daughter and Hecuba helped them in defeating Sutekh. Whilst I am expecting some kind of Davies Ex Machina to occur in the finale, it would be nice for them to meet an old God who isn't out to cause chaos and destruction.
Someone needs to come and help save the day there is no way.. the doctor can do this on his own.

I like the theory that the Doctor themself is from a similar place as Sutekh. Perhaps they are the God of Time you mentioned in the other video (I can't remeber her name, sorry)
Hecuba The Queen of Time, if she doesn't show up now I do hope she does as she seems like a great villain The Time Lord vs The Queen of Time.. Would be such a good story.

Look at the season as a whole. It's all about screens, TV, TV shows, VHS video, time window and photos. It's about recording time which a video and photo is doing. Put an old holiday video on and you're time travelling. As for Ruby - red pops up everywhere, the Doc makes a comment about red when Rose and Ruby meet, the VHS tape has a red label. The interior of the TARDIS is red in the promo for next week, Mel has red hair and other red references during the season. I'm not sure what it all means. Just to add that the Rani had Mel's red hair in The Time and the Rani and her TARDIS was red and black in The Mark of the Rani. Also Sutekh had a big red ruby on his head.

Chameleon Arch Circuitry... She is Susan before she is Susan. The woman dropping Ruby off is River Song. 11 and River did have sex. River is human with Gallifreyan DNA that could be easily masked. So at the end, she would be taken to Gallifrey to 1 (harnell)... as his grand daughter.
Or is a child of his daughter Jenny but Jenny would not have the full access of Time Lord Technology.
Or if is Susan - regenerated to a child or a child of Susan and David.... She regenerates at end of S01 (New new who) to be the new companion for S02 ... Would be so much easier if stuck with the original season/series numbering...
Great theory, but I'm fully sold on the Ruby is her own mother theory. It would make perfect sense, why there was no trace of her mother anywhere or any family (because of the bootstrap paradox she has no origin, she is the beginning and the end, like the families in the series DARK), why it keeps snowing and why the memory is so raw, because it might be that a bootstrap paradox like this is so strong in the timey wimey wibbly wobbly that it creates this super fixed point which might be how Sutekh was able to come back maybe? Might be the paradox creates a tiny tear in the universe through which he was able to crawl back into reality. I may also be that Ruby and the paradox was created solely for the purpose of bringing back Sutekh, I don't know. I also really like the theory that she is just an ordinary human who happened to be left at the wrong place and time but with the hooded figure pointing at the Doctor and/or Sutekh I don't think this likely. Coming back to the Ruby is her own mother theory.. it would explain the whole 73 yards thing, sort of. In 73 Yards she says at the end that she has never been alone - supposedly meaning that she embraced the old lady as her life companion or even a part of herself and she then becomes the woman. I think that it would be an interesting character arc for her to discover she is her own mother and that her mother is always with her LITERALLY. Also I would really love to see how it would all unfold. Her being forced to leave herself there at the church so that she can grow up with Carla and then put herself there so that she could grow up... okay I think I'm loosing it, I need answers NOW.
