My hometown RYE!!!! Great review Chris!!! I have seen some of the finished expressions outside of the state but they were more in the Jersey, PA and Virginia markets. Cheers buddy

Good to know. Have you had any of the finished expression? I'm curious which your favorite is!?!

Nice review! I have six different bottles and a single barrel store pick! My top one is the PX Sherry, then the double oak followed by the store pick! Fantastic line of Rye Spirits.

Great rundown of the Sagamore line, Chris! So far I just have the Double Oak rye but love it! One of my favorites this year. Cheers brother

Thx Richie! Yeas that double oak is something special. Probably my favorite as well!

Awesome review. The 10 year was single barrel and was given to us at a private distillery event. I don’t believe it hit retail or even the distillery sales shelves.

That makes sense why I couldn't find any information about it. It was really good though I like that 10 year I figured almost no one could get it since I found nothing about it though thanks so much for hooking me up on this Chris!

Great review! I need to get more into Ryes... it will be one of my goals for 2020. Your set is looking great but it needs some SCOTCH in there (just sayin').

    • @Bourbinsane
      @Bourbinsane  5 лет назад

Haha I have only one shelf of scotch and it's on the upper left usually out of frame lol believe me I'm starting to get more into scotch I'm hoping it doesn't take over my life. Also I could use your expertise on all those wine finishes as I know nothing about wine! Cheers Erik!

Love this review. Picked up the port finished one on vacation and loved it. But haven't seen it here on the shelves yet. Hope they show up soon.

Ya the port was very nice had the up in proof makes it even better. Very impressive for a 4 year old product

Live in md and a fan of them so far too. Went straight to barrell proof and wasn't disappointed. May try the sible oaked next. Would probably put the BP in my top 5 bourbons.

They are doing a great job blending. I cant wait to taste all their own product soon

Cool lineup! The Cask Strength seems right up my alley. I'm curious as well when Sagamore pumps out all their own distillate. Cheers, Chris!

Cool episode, between you and the Whiskey Crusaders my interest in Sagamore ryes has definitely been piqued.

Thanks so much. I am actually much more impressed than I thought I would be gookg into it!

I had no clue their lineup was this extensive. I tasted the cask strength and liked it just felt it was a bit too much for a young whiskey. But it was good. Cheers Chris

It is pricey and yes I had no idea either. Alot of options!

Sounds like a great line up Chris!! I’ve had there standard base product that you started with and it was a good Rye in my opinion, but after hearing your thoughts on the rest of there line up I’m gonna have to go and try to find a couple of these. Great review!! Cheers friend!!

They just released a Cognac finished expression, and it is far and away my favorite of their finished products. I still think the cask strength is my favorite, but the Cognac finish is a close second place.

Chris, Good reviews but for those prices they could be harvesting icebergs from the North Pole and towing them into Maryland and using for their pure water. There are so many great ryes at under $35. Cheers!!!

😂🤣 that's the best comment I've read LOL yeah unfortunately they are very expensive and I'll be very curious to see how their products are once they start making all their own distillate! Cheers DJ!

It wasn't as more of that thick syrupy alcohol forward NyQuil flavor you can imagine. It was more of a well-rounded Cherry cinnamon thank goodness cuz otherwise I would have hated it
