Young players get easily enamored by skillful players who do lots of tricks and there's nothing wrong with that, but any young strikers out there could do a lot worse than studying Robbie Keane's movement off the ball. Even at this late stage of his career when the pace is completely gone he still scores so many goals because of it, but also creates a lot of space for others, which is an under appreciated aspect of the center forward role. Robbie in my opinion has been a brilliant player over the years who doesn't get the respect he deserves from some. I think in his prime he would of been very suited to modern pass and move Pep Guardiola like football and probably would be more appreciated by some of his nay sayers if he had of played in Spain in this era.

Im a tottenham fan from ireland, you cant imagine my face when robbie scored against germany in the world cup, 2002, the bar went crazy as i was a 7 year old kid watching the game with my family. I asked my grandad how often robbie plays for ireland, he said every 2 years, but if I wanted to watch him more i should watch tottenham...he then stopped and said "Thats where you were born by the way". I fell in love with Tottenham hotspur and football as a whole. Its great growing up with a hero with the same first name as you. 😅
Simply one of the greatest, clinical strikers the MLS has ever seen. #73 in my opinion is his best MLS goal. I miss these good old days. Thanks Keano.

Amazing talent, been a fan of his ever since he joined liverpool (even if his time their was not great). Sad to see him take the paycheck in India but I recon his time in LA has inspired alongside Beckham a generation of young football fans.

@Christy Dolan Point taken, and I'm sorry if what I said sounded foolish, but I'm pretty sure I meant that many players that people would consider good wear/wore number 7 at some point in their career, like Christiano Renaldo, David Beckham, Kenny daglish, Eric Cantona, Franck Ribery, and Robbie Keane to name a few.
The biggest mistake Robbie Keane made in his career was leaving the Galaxy! He should have retired at LA Galaxy.
