In any TASM clip on RUclips, if you go to comment section, there are 50% tobey fans who argue that Andrew is worst. I feel very bad for Andrew, he is the biggest fan of Spider-Man in all three of them but most people don't like him

I don’t why people hate it so much it seems so realistic
It changes some comic stuff feels less like a film or director vision and more Iike something spat out by sony to keep rights that got by on its visuals and actors...the writing dialogue narrative is awful the story is a mess...it's forcing other set up sequel film stuff down our throats in an origin film smdh...the 2nd half feels like a different era of his life many months later and different in tone film
The reason why the original trilogy and TASM1 were memorable, was because of the producer LAURA ZISKIN
It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth
She was the only one capable to tell AVI ARAD when to back off
Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1
Without her, there was no one to stop Arad from destroying the franchise
Spiderman was nothing without her

270th Thumbs up! when i was a teen comics was the shit we didn't have internet back then in the 80' & 90' and all my money went in those Got a pretty collection so when they started doing good superheroes movies (The 90' was an obscure period for those poor caracters) i was blown away!

Andrew Garfield is my personal favorite Spider-Man. His Peter Parker was a little too cool though.
that's how peter was originally written to be. he was cool at the start of his run back in the 60s too

Being ugly with glasses which Peter has never been even in comics does not correlate to all nerds. I'm a comic book nerd myself yet I've never been called ugly or look ugly. That's a played out stereotype that died years ago that's kept alive by weirdos
i dont get why people dislike the Parents storyline, it was never brought up in other movies. It shouldve been brought up its a very important part of Peter's past and origins

I personally like this movie's design of the Lizard. It's much closer to his original appearance and makes more sense than the alligator head he has in the comics.

you did get it backwards haha. most people say that andrew garfield was a good spider-man,, but that he was too cool to be peter parker (which i disagree with,, he's just hot),, and that tobey maguire was a perfect peter parker but his spider-man wasn't great. personally ,, the amazing spiderman films are my favourite and i think andrew pulls off both aspects really well :)

I like these movies, there's honestly not a bad spiderman yet, I just don't like Andrew's Peter Parker. He's probably the best Spiderman, though. And some of the dialogue and acting felt really weird, which is the main reason it's probably my least favorite movies. And yeah, I couldn't care less about the parent stuff.
But Peter and Gwen, good. Action, good. Quips, good. It's not a BAD movie. Definitely rewatchable.
I liked these movies...but I don't like them as much as the original trilogy with Tobey Maguire. The Tobey Maguire ones are just so much better... not to take anything away from these movies, or to take away from Tom Holland and his movies, which I also liked, but the Tom Holland Spiderman is more of a Spiderboy series, in my humble opinion.

Tobey had a decent Peter and two good villain. His Peter wasn’t accurate, he didn’t even get bitter at 15 and didn’t create his own web shooters. Andrew had bad writing for Peter but was an amazing Spider-man and Tom’s is the best one overall, and his Peter is so good and he still 16 years old, the potential is crazy. Tobey had awful acting and so many cringe scenes, they movies haven’t age well, Willem and Alfred carried in the acting aspect because Tobey and Kristen are awful, that MJ is also the worse adaptation love interest that I’ve seen for a superhero. Andrew had the best love interest with Gwen, and Tom character arc is going to keep getting better and better. At the end of the day I love all of them and I can’t wait to see NWH.
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 Tobey show the stress of juggling a real life and superhero life which was accurate to the comics doe. They MJ was actually accurate from the comics, MJ was toxic for petter which was right and his love for her was also showed on screen accurate from the comics. Everytime he scream marry Jane I always scream with him 🤣🤣🤣🤣. The bitter part yeah u right. Also the web shooters too. Tobey petter life and story was more realistic and reliable which made the character iconic. I do love the jokes from Andrew as spiderman and his fighting and quick thinking. Which make him the better spiderman. Despite he look like he can take my girl as Peter Parker and spiderman through the whole movie 🤣🤣🤣 with swag on 1000 lol

We all know Peter supposed to be a little swag out and keep his nerdy persona but when he put on the mask he become confident, a funny smart ass, with the personality that no one can touch him, and don't take things seriously. Kinda why all three is great in they way. Tobey shows the transition from a nerd to a swag out nerdy guy of Peter Parker while showing the over confident spidermen. Andrew shows the nerd side a little but shows the over confident, funny smart ass spiderman that don't things seriously and no one can touch him better than Tobey. Tom shows the kid Peter that struggle to keep his life in balance and make kid mistake and have to fix them and over come his issues at the same time express his nerdiness alot . They all great in they own way

MJ was toxic in the comics too but not at that libel that she is changing relationships multiple times in the same movie, she was annoying ash, worse Spidey live action love interest.
Tom’s Peter is getting more accurate too, with NWH he is going to struggle A LOT, even Green Goblin is telling him “Peter, you're struggling to have everything you want while the world tries to make you choose” and about his Spidey needing work he is getting better, in Homecoming when the criminals was robbing the bank he had a good Spidey moment with the jokes and all of that, but yeah all of them are great in their own way.

They really tried to combine an origin story 10 years after the 2002 one just with a unique counter nolan batman lite grit and angst with a new twist mystery about peter's parents while trying to start a sinister 6 spinoff and doing a lizard film mixed with the origin and tell this stacy family drama all at the same time with hints of oscorp lol...no wonder why this franchise failed..too many things at once and they went against the earnest nature of the rami films...they went grunge emo musty with this premise and made uncle ben unlikable
*The Amazing Spiderman is good but not as great as Spiderman (Tobey Maguire). Tobey Maguire version is phenomenal, that one cannot beat it. But Andrew Garfield is also great, don’t get me wrong tho. And what i can’t wait for is to see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in Spiderman No Way Home, that’s all i wish for. To see these two innit with Tom Holland*

I like Tobey as Peter Parker, if you know Peter Parker he was a unattractive, awkward nerd that go bullied by flash. Tobey peter actually shows that he awkward, get bullied and treated like shit. Andrew Peter was cool and sexy off rip before he was spiderman. He wasn't been bullied, not even by flash the moments with flash was just moment of Peter standing up for someone else no him self, flash never showed Peter attention at all fr. Flash wasn't supposed to be friends or nice to Peter till they was adults. Andrew Peter was way off it was to the point when he got bit nothing change about him besides his skills which mean that bite didn't change his life only made him a superhero which take away from the Peter Parker of it. That why Tobey is the better Peter Parker and a ok spiderman while Andrew is a ok Peter Parker but a better spidermen
Yeah his awkwardness was good when it was there but it was only there with Gwen and that was only the first half so I totally get everything you’re saying!
Tobey was way too pathetic and awkward. He lacked the will to even defend himself unlike the comics where Peter at least had the nerve to tell Flash to fuck off because he had more pressing concerns.
