SPLATOON 3 BUT ITS TOO FOGGY...

In a recently new Splatoon 3 Challenge Event known as "Foggy Notion" I go in and experience what Splatoon 3 Turf Wars are like in low visibility. I also FURTHER Challenge myself by playing Snipers which ill have to say Chargers have got to be the weakest weapons in this new Sizzle Season game mode!

​​@@nemohegdehog8944for real, the fact that it only comes in waves kinda makes it feel inconsequential since you can just wait to fight until the fog clears out, and hide and play for your special while the fog is in. Idk I feel like if people were actually forced to fight in the fog it would be so much more interesting

Welp…that’s another (extremely fun) challenge I’ve missed…
It’s interesting to see how many support weapons that’s mostly built around location tracking gets an instant, non-intentional, but also temporary, buff, the moment thick fog rolls in, as well as making gear abilities based on hiding your locations also have an unintentional, temporary buff!
It’s a shame that I can’t even participate in some of these challenges most of the time, either due to them being too late at night, or I’ve barely missed them early in the morning from where I live. (And one of which, that is coming soon, I only have a 2 hour window to participate in the day after I’ll be attending my friend’s wedding, but if I slept too late, I’ll be too tired to wake up early enough to participate in the challenge.)

imo there was a missed oppoturnity of foggy notion of being in clam blitz mode. instead we getting a turf war rotation with 2 awful map selections of it. makes me kinda sad cuz it felt like that no one really wanted to play it.

nova is legitimately decent in this mode, it has the niche of just full location and in this mode thats insanely valuable. if you have teammates that can follow up on the location effects, you have a huge advantage in most fights you take

Splatfests will at least be going on for another year, starting September.
Since the game released last September and is to be updated for at least two years.

I felt like for this challenge it was a little vital to use the map to your advantage too when you hit someone, since you can still see them that way. I utilised my map a LOT when I did a few rounds of the fog

Hot take: I didn't like this challenge that much. I feel the fog limited the weapon choices and the maps didn't help with that.

That's what I liked about the challenge, honestly. I like figuring out the 'meta' of each challenge because it's brief and you think about the game differently.
...though i could've done without eeltail and hammerhead

That's fair, Limited weapon choices is the reason I avoid Tower Control.
Altough I do find this intressting as nothing about the game changes only the information each player recieves, Anchors are defenitly the weapons most affected.
Would like to see how a map with this mechanic could work.
