I presume its shot on a sunday. Thats why its peaceful. The rest of the week everyone just parks their cars and leave them for hours on end which chokes up the town. But yes it has great shopfronts if only the town would pull together and promote itself.
We had a drink at Eugene's, dinner at Byrne's, stayed at the Falls Hotel in 2017. Donkeys, hydroelectricity and a Welsh poet! All wonderful. What a place! The river is spectacular. Climbed the hill to the ruined church and graveyard.
I have been to Ennistymon many times in the last 25 years and have never seen it this peaceful. This must have been shot on a holiday. Wjo peacefull Great video by the way.
Ennistymon was the filming location for the Father Ted episode 'The Mainland'. Nagel's Bar was the pub that old Father Jack went into.
