Swapping a different engine into a project car will always have some snags along the way. In this video we work out a very important issue..converting the tachometer from a VG30 to a KA24de! My 240sx s13 has had the same style wheels for nearly the entire duration of my ownership, I ended up buy a different style bucket list wheel to throw on the rear! It is always a pleasure visiting an old friend to mount tires. Andrews project car, R32 Skyline with a 1JZ swap sounds insanely good! Work XT7
I spent the last 7 years building this 1990 Nissan 240sx from the ground up by myself. I swapped out the KA24e for a KA24de. Then once more for a RB25det out of a R34 Skyline and couldn't be happier. I have also converted the 240 to right hand drive, (which ended up saving my life!) After installing a few drift parts; such as a hydro E - Brake, and dual rear calipers, welded diff, solid suspension bushings and more, the car handled amazing. Surprisingly this S13 was able to drift and stay sideways perfectly despite the damage that was done to it.

About the suspension/shock tower, unfortunately I had a familiar issue when all the oil has been gone off. Not so comfy with weird noises 😅

Couple things: That timing on the lightning strike was chefs kiss. Second, the new Works are better in my opinion, but it's your baby :) . Dakota digital makes a good tach adapter and it’s really solid! Been running mine for years and even half melted it from a turbo😅

I had to use a unit from Dakota digital in my Ford ranger. This is what allowed us to use the factory gauge cluster for the Chevy 5.3 swap!
@prizzamike I had a lady jack my car up. BY the tank at a drift event. It was slightly creased to boot! When I took it out the car I plugged the holes an used compressed air to pop the dents out it work exceptionally well! Give that a good your be pleased!

300zx master bushing kit! plus tie rods and tie rod ends, and shocks or coil overs. car will feel night and day better!

Thanks for showing others that you can be cool and be involved with fun activities, like working on cars and skateboarding, and still be a valuable member of society with something to offer. I've lost count how many times I read comments on your videos about how it inspired other people to work on their own project again on cars they had previously given up on; others were inspired to find a project car of their own.
I myself was at least motivated to pickup an electrical diagram for my car with the hope of wiring a 1uzfe swap someday. I'm a long, long way from that goal due to limited space and resources, but I can at least try to figure out the wiring in the meantime.
We don't have enough role models like you. Thanks for influencing others to find a productive hobby and not riot in their own city instead. 😁
Your S13 running out of fuel at just the right time at a gas station reminds me when my battery was starting to lose charge (my alternator was going out). Dash lit up like a Xmas tree. I had just enough to get home and right when I parked it, battery lost all voltage and car shut off.
That wing spoiler looks incredible on the Z32!

ive never really seen wings on a 300zx but DANG that wing looked GOOD!
The handle of the fuel pump doesn't tell you which side the filler is on (that's an urban myth), it's the triangle next to the fuel pump on the newer cars. Older cars don't always have the triangle. The other way to tell is to push the filler release in the car and look in the mirrors to see which side pops out.
Those 5 spoke are a dream wheel for me, and chromed as well. Keep it up my dude, always inspiring me to do something in my car!

Just a suggestion:
I’ll bet you could pull the dent out of the gas tank with conventional dent pulling tools without even having to drop it from the car! Maybe the industrial hot glue dent puller and if not the weld on slide hammer style would definitely work!

Fuel door is always on the opposite side of wherever your exhaust tip exits. If you have dual exhaust, then you just have to guess.

About the fuel door side thing: More modern cars (Less than 15-20 years old) will have an indicator. Either that fuel pump symbol or just a plain arrow in the fuel gage. Those of us rolling around in older cars will just have to know.
YO Mike, the tach signal, goes from the ecu to the tach.
I think you didn't connect the wire from the ecu to that conversion module, instead you connected the tach out to the module in 😅
Hey, just letting you know, I love that 300zx wing, and it definitely deserves a good looking rear bumper and lower suspension to match the style!
I believe that will looks perfect once it’s done.
And btw, I like how you tidy up those harnesses with the nylon thing, I do that in my PC as well and it does looks a lot cleaner.

Please look into speeduino, would like to see what you can do with a programmable ecu and see you do a turbo build. Would be great content, with what you know it will be a breeze and you can use it on other builds after.
Use your 240 as the jig 😆 what would you even need? just centre the hat over the other to make sure both are in the same spot and weld it on drilling out the new bolt holes. They make camber caster plates and if you plan ahead you could put camber into the stock mounts or position. Most of the wheel positioning is the lower control arm, if you want the stock body use the 300zx lower and strut arm with a s15 balljoint. Assuming they're different lengths and balljoints shaft diameter. The width wont match for a strut brace style jig I don't think. SEND IT! 😎🤘 alignments adjustments will get you the rest of the way with your fab skills.
GASGATE!!! AGAIN THE PEOPLE ARE RIGHT! Look at the pump nozzle handle location on the little gas pump on the dash. Its on the right, if your tank was on the left the nozzle would be on the left on the dash. Try finding the gas cap on my 73 amc hornet 🤣 know you would find it but its funny watching people look for it.
