Michiel is an amazing and very realistic instructor. He shows you every possible bad encounter a person can face on the street, and how to effectively respond to it all.

Love this guy, so patient with his students, and not expecting them to be something they're not. He drills them, challenges them, trains them to adapt to their own strengths and weaknesses.
Working with "chaos" to pressure test them. Utilizing the messy, reality of violence without overwhelming them. They are very lucky to learn from this man!

I Learned a lot from this video!
The concept of a Frame is so valuable.
    It trains your mind,
to quickly find a way to strike!
    Thank You! ⭐⭐⭐
I would love to come to a seminar !
I am in the NY area.

Thank you for keeping it real. So thankful for this video. Priceless.... Training against stronger people is very important in this scenario. Principle to keep in mind: Find an opening, create distance and strike. No grappling.

@@schoolofselfprotection thx for offer. I'm thinking to register to your online curses. I'm a krav-maga practicionner, at low level, but I often think it lacks the realism and street knowledge you put in your courses, and I'd like to learn your's technics but 1 I'm afraid to get more confused by mixing technics considering my level. And 2 I don't know how I could practice your skillset being alone. Im thinking about finding a buddy to do this but well that's where I am regarding self-defense practice. Any advices or guidance would be much appreciated

@@nikolateoembeaireuhigrec4239 you still think in technicality. This will crumble under real fight stress. You need principles and concepts driven by mindset..you with all do respect..need the mindset and the understanding of criminal tactics. Also how to use concepts instead of technics. If you understand a concept you understand a million technics. The foundation courses is the way to go. I understand where your comment comes from..more people said that..and it changed their whole approach when they finished the courses. Don’t take it from me. Read the reviews. But be careful..this is the honest way..and this can be confrontational. But if you seek the truth..it will not disappoint you. All the best to you brother.

Do you have a video of a similar concept but without a wall behind you? Ive seen the front choke defense video you have which I found very useful. Also, should you stun or shock (not sure what word to use) before kneeing? Is there a danger (well all fights are dangerous but you get my drift) that they may grab your knee and take you down?

    • @schoolofselfprotection
      @schoolofselfprotection  3 месяца назад

Yes. Just lift one shoulder and step in a half circle if that makes sense. Don’t knee when there is no wall behind you. This will get you to the ground indeed.

If he's stronger than you, there's likely no framing.
Don't get pinned like that in the first place.
But T least there's training under pressure.

Why you trainig a choke on the street? I was never be choked in the street and probobly you also. On the street It alweys about striking and grapling. Waist of your time to train this.
