Fire and pure energy!Seeing them live is an otherwordy experience. Singer Till Lindemann is a licensed pyrotechnician. Rammstein uses an external company for the fireworks, however he's the one designing and supervising the whole thing.
Keyboardist Flake Lorenz was bored to just stand there when his skills are not needed, so he thought it would be a good idea to exercise during the shows. He can adapt the speed of his threadmill to the rhythm of each song.

Don't be too disappointed for not having been there.
Most people who wanted to get a ticket couldn't.
That concert at MSG was sold out in less than 20 minutes.
A complete world tour was sold out in 40 minutes.

I was there I spent to much money and had to eat and live cheap for a year to pay for it but it was well worth it
The tickets were 1k a pop 600 a night for hotel

Their music videos r like movies and live concerts are so great. I saw them may 27th and it was best day of my life.

Rammstein is one of the most famous metal bands and living legends with the same line-up for nearly 30 years. The stadium tour of Rammstein ist the greatest rock/metals show on the road in these days. They are a german band and are considered the best live band in the world by far, especially when it comes to showmenship, pyro and fire. The area in front of the stage is famous and is known as the fire zone, where during a concert it can get up to 80 degrees Celsius (180 F). The danger on the stage itself is not the fire, but the lack of oxygen during certain pyro stunts, which consumes the fire. There is no concert in the world that you can feel on your own body and skin like a Rammstein concert. Above all, Rammstein uses pyro quite differently than all other bands. Therefore after a Rammstein concert you can buy a T-Shirt written on it: I survived Rammstein. Rammstein concerts are sold out in minutes, no matter where they are performed.
Rammstein's music is a mixture of techno (electronic music) and metal (= industrial metal), but Rammstein don't have their roots in metal but in punk, which many people don't know. Rammstein concerts are a life time experience that you will never forget. Their videos are art but also often controversial.
Rammstein also refers to classical German literature, e.g. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's. Several of their songs are related to controversial and taboo subjects such as sadomasochism, homosexuality, intersexuality, incest, pedophilia, necrophilia, cannibalism, pyromania, religion and sexual violence. Also several of their songs are allegedly inspired by real-life events or politics. Rammstein lyrics are very deep and are also often used in school and universities around the world to learn German. There are people who learn German only because of Rammstein. Rammstein fans from 10 to 90 yeras old are considered to be the craziest, hysterical and most fanatical fans in the world. In concerts from the hardcore fans all over the world it is expected that you can sing along with the German lyrics even if you don't speak German.
My first Concert with Rammstein was the Biker Jamborre from the Born to be Wild MC in Biesenthal ( near Berlin )
There will be dozens of other comments suggesting other versions of this as the Paris version is considered to be the best one. Just know that reacting to this one is just fine. Two other songs from this particular concert at Madison Square Garden I'd suggest are: "Ich Tu Dir Weh" and "Engel". Both are amazing for their own reasons. Also, a little food for thought, how awesome is it for a German band to travel around the world to non-German speaking countries and selling out arenas this size? I think it's pretty cool.
The "added in post" special effects* ruined the "Live in Paris" concert video(s). The MSG videos are much better than the "Paris" videos.
*Not talking about the fire, as we all know the fire is very real, and Paris did have better pyro. However, the added in-video FX are a huge negative for the videos, and would have been better without them added.
And don't forget that the people also sing in German! As a German, I find that extremely cool. In France some people know at least a little German, but Russia and America.... everyone sings along. just cool to see/hear

Unfortunately, Rammstein had to hold back on the pyro effects at the MSG. In the USA, the regulations are too strict.

I was at this show, it was beyond phenomenal, and the crowd was beyond electric. Everyone was standing, no one was in their seat. I've seen Rammstein 8 times now, and I still say this was their loudest show, even compared to their new stadium show.
You need to check out their videos for Deutschland, Zeit, and Adieu. They're absolute masterpieces.
Their live shows are absolutely incredible too, definitely check out some of those. They're very pyro and effects-heavy.

The energy at their shows is insane ! I saw them in San Antonio last year and it blew my socks off. Ive seen some decently heavy bands , like Slipknot and Judas Priest but none could come close to the epicness , energy and raw power that Rammstein has. Whatever the outcome of the allegations against Till, I will always love and support them.

@charlieclark2609 I really did enjoy the fire during Sonne especially since I was like 3rd level near the back and was still able to feel the heat of the flames! Also the fireworks when Till set them off during Du Hast

That is more than 40 years normal Music for me , my start as a Metalhead was 1980 and today with over 55 years the same strong love to Heavy Metal Music and with still long hair
Absolutely an insane show, saw them in LA and it was the best experience of my life, I really hope they come back to America. Everyone should see them, their outside concerts have so much fire. Oh and I think I lost 10 year off my hearing from the concert but so worth it, you can feel the music. If you see them get the fire zone tickets, fire everywhere. Sonne was my favorite song of the show.

Saw them twice this summer. Actually got the idea because of the many reaction videos :-) It was amazing.
Seen Rammstein in 2017 at a 3 day festival. They headlined the 2nd night. They were insane. The energy, fire, explosisons. Possibly my favourite live show ever.
EDIT: I was over 200ft away from the stage and I could still feel the fire heat. He shot the gun off mid show and it erupted a tower mid crowd with a fire explosison. Again, possibly best live show I've been at.

You should definitely watch more lives, especially the ones with the bigger stage. In those, their performance is really peak
I love Rammstein so much, but you have to watch Du Hast live in Paris cause there after the sparkles the whole fucking Stage explodes XD
The difference between Rammstein and the most other bands out there is they create a show to. They not just stand there and sing. The viewers never really know what gonna happen next. To go and watch Rammstein is well spend money.
RE -- "Why you were not at this concert": You were most likely either a very young child, or possibly not yet conceived, when this concert was performed.
The only such band that hasn't sold out, IMHO.
Still singing in German only, still a solid show, still only care about the fans, not the rules.

woman voice sing Yaaaa (german yes) while man sound comes with NEIN (german NO) , which is musicly and in meaning two diferen position. that is my favorite part of this song and i like you mention that part.

Paris live show went way harder on the fireworks/pyro. Too many regulations in the US, and France's policy lately is... let it burn.

You don't know Rammstein until you see them live. I did in 2012 Atlanta. They are amazing!!! This version doesn't compare to Paris. Just Saiyan.
Flake (Flak-uh) the keyboard player is amazing, he gets almost 30km every concert on that treadmill while also playing the keyboards.
Also, the lead singer, Till Lindemann, is a licensed pyrotechnician. He also has a history in opera, and was on the East German Olympic swimming team (back when that was a thing) and his right knee was injured due to the "performance enhancing drugs (steroids)" that they were using.
Only band on the planet that can make the whole world sing in German even if they can’t speak it. Loved the reaction esp to Flake on his treadmill.

They are no longer Germany's best band, gotta check out 'Electric Callboy' are simply the most joyful (opposite of Rammstein) and fantastic blend of EDM, metal, and pure pop. Start down the rabbithole with "Hypa Hypa", "We Got The Moves", "Pump It", you might enjoy cover of Cascada's "Everytime We Touch".... and others sure to follow ha ha.
