      @mottom2657 Год назад +2

      @@King-mg7vy Don't talk about what you know, you six-year-old newbie. The organic web-shooting was taken by David Koepp from the James Cameron script for a Spidey film. Sam Raimi was actually going to use mechanical web-shooters, there are footages of Tobey using self-made web-shooters. What happened was that Sam had a change of thought and scrapped the mechanical web-shooters. He said that his Peter was always short of money, and the same Peter being able to make mechanical web-shooters while no other company could make anything like this would not be believable to some of his audience (not all). That was his line of reasoning. But of course, this is inaccurate with respect to any Peter Parker Spidey comic.

I'd read it so many times in the comic books...it brought tears to my eyes. They've never been able to capture that again. Tom's Spiderman's storyline did a great job addressing the same concept without trying to compete. It was smartly written and respectfully done across-the-board.

    I was always curious as to why Green Goblin captured Spider-Man but never decided to unmask him when he had the chance. The official novelization explains that it was a matter of honor -- to simply unmask him in Spider-Man's weak state would have been too easy. It would also defeat the purpose of him wanting Spider-Man to independently decide to join him.
    "I COULD SQUASH YOU LIKE A BUG RIGHT NOW. But I'm offering you a choice."
    I used to think this was a plot hole, but I really don't think it is. I think Goblin genuinely felt like it would be wrong, in that moment, to unmask him. It would be too easy.

    After 15 years of listening to the criticisms of Spider-Man 3, I still can't understand them. "Bully Maguire is so cringey" ... yeah, did you not notice the characters in the movie cringing at him dancing down the street? It's supposed to be cringey. That's why it's funny. The attempt to criticize that aspect actually reinforces how that element of the movie works. People will criticize the film for having too many villains and they don't get enough development, meanwhile the same people will praise No Way Home, which has even more villains, which have even less to do with the story and have far less development. Meanwhile that film is shot like garbage, and has no memorable moments, yet Spider-Man 3 is tremendously well shot with tons of memorable moments. The criticisms against Spider-Man 3 just don't hold up to scrutiny and you're a hypocrite if you gave No Way Home a positive review. At least Sam Raimi is a good director. A bad Sam Raimi film is still better than Jon Watts' best film, because Jon Watts is a bad director, and still better than any Spider-Man film since.

    • @Psilocybin77
      @Psilocybin77 Год назад +2

      I prefer Sam Raimi's entire trilogy over anything Marvel/Disney have done with Spiderman. That 3rd Tom Holland one, I can't remember the name, is an unmitigated mess and represents every thing I hate with modern film making. Every thing has to be connected for no reason, and no reasons will be given beyond "multiverse". It takes a skilled writer to create complex storytelling that a multiverse requires, and Disney doesn't do it. I know people are hardwired these days to clap for nostalgia bait, but I prefer storytelling over spectacle.

    • @ed1rko17
      @ed1rko17 Год назад +1

      @@Psilocybin77 I agree with everything you just said. This may be where you stop agreeing with me because for many reasons, people just want to shit on this movie, but to add to what you said, a great example of the multiverse plot device used in an intelligent way is The Flash. It actually made sense in that movie as opposed to the 3rd Tom Holland movie where it was just non-sense. It also made sense because DC is rebooting their characters and that movie was resetting the table for new versions of the characters to appear in new films. For example, Ben Affleck wanted out of being Batman, so they literally swapped him out for Micheal Keaton with the intention of having him continue as Batman in the future. The Flash is one of the only recent comic book movies that's come close in quality to Raimi's trilogy of Spider-Man films and it was completely shit on by the hive mind the way they do with Raimi's trilogy now and praise garbage like Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies. Modern audiences are completely fucking lost to the craft of filmmaking and they have zero taste.

    The one thing that the MCU Spider-Man fixed is explaining how Peter got a nice costume. Peter's poor. So how does he come up with something so fancy.
    Also, two should have ended with this thing from outer space appearing in Central Park. Then we see several bright dressed characters heading for it. And Spider-Man follows them. Then, three starts with Peter reappearing from the structure in his black suit. Since they didn't know they were going to do Venom in three when they did two, they still could have started three this way. And the symbiont should have became whatever clothes Peter wanted it to be. Not just his suit.

    The Raimi series wasn’t a whole lot less cartoony and silly than the Schumacher Batman films, but unlike those films, the tone actually fit. Batman should be slightly darker than the other superhero movies. Spider-Man and Superman should be on the lighter end. If you have your tone actually fit the character, you’ll be fine. It’s why Deadpool worked. Nobody was aiming for a box office friendly PG-13. They just told a story that fit the character and let everything else fall into place. People want to see these characters be themselves.

    so, Spider-Man 3 was the first time I was disappointed by a modern Marvel movie... from Blade, to X-men, to the first 2 Raimi movies, each one got better. But, like the X-Men: Last Stand, there was a confluence of ideas that sort of sunk the third one. You mentioned that the studio's forced some things on Sam Raimi, but I remember reading at the time that both Toby & Sam didn't want to do more movies after the third one. I think that there were originally 2 more planned after the third one, which were going to feature either sand man and/or the new goblin. So, my opinion is that this third one rolled any potential sequels into one movie so that they could move on and do other things.
    In the end, i think its more re-watchable than some of the other sequel failures, mostly because of the quality of both the filmmaking and the acting.

Perhaps he should’ve been introduced in the latter half of Spider-Man 2 to better serve his entry in the third film. Visually as Venom, it was a decent look, but the development and portrayal were just so wrong.

    Spider-Man 3 is unironically my favorite
    the only thing I didn't like about it was the characterization of Eddie Brock. I don't care how close he is to the comics, I didn't read them, but he's kinda douchy and he'd have been much more tragic if he was more of a victim, which would have made his motivation stronger. Instead, they try to establish him as kind of a prick early on and it just doesn't work
    Everything else about this movie, I absolutely adore. And this includes the dance scene, which makes me miserable in all the right ways. Our sweetheart Peter who we followed for two movies now has become such a chode that he's completely unrecognisable and it broke my heart, when I watched it
    It's a masterpiece in my opinion and beats out the first two for me, just cause hero corruption is such a great plot device

    Imagine if there was a live action film version of Ultimate Spiderman taking on Ultimate Green Goblin 😳. I think the idea of morphing back and forth from Goblin monster/beast and creating fire balls is very clever and gangster 😀

    One thing I would have pointed out, at the end of Spider-Man 2, the reflection of the World Trade Center Towers can be seen as MJ looks out the window. An obvious nod to the scrapped promotion for the first movie where a chopper was caught in a spider net between them. Sony felt it was too soon after 9/11 to do that.
    Parts of Spider-Man 3 work for me, some don't. It is the weaker ion the trilogy. Topher Grace was WAY miscast in this role.

    Unpopular opinion but Spiderman 3 is the one Ive watched the most out of the 3. Although it has some really bad moments, the highs make up for them. In particular, all the action! We get some spectacular fights in and out of the Spidey suit. Even more controversial option, 2 is the one I've watched the least. I dunno, it's so slow and boring. I don't get why people like it so much. I've only seen it in full like twice. All other times I just skip to the train fight. 1 is perfect the way it is.

    The first 2 Spiderman movies are the best made in the Superhero genre. Although I still see Spiderman 2 being the best of the bunch, as Alfred Molina Doc Ock is much better both in his costume design and look. While Spiderman 3 is the weakest of the Tobey Maguire trilogy, although it has a few good sequences but otherwise forgettable.

    Although the movies are great, I can’t say that I’m a fan of the casting choice for Peter. Tobey Maguire was just too awkward looking for me; I hated the way he runs and I hated that stupid grimace he makes whenever he’s overexerting himself. I think Jake Gyllenhaal would’ve a far better Peter Parker. Also, a different actor makes sense considering how most of the crew also disliked Tobey Maguire. I also wish they’d given MJ more to do other than just to bang every major male character or scream repeatedly throughout all three films.

He knocked out a k9 unit and jumped a 10 ft fence dude. There was def security set up, but also, its avi arads fault that things didnt get enough time and or explanation, he forced venom into the film
