Another cool video! Watched a very old video of Bill Dance in his prime in the late 1960s. The guy on the left in your video fishes just like Bill Dance! I bought some more blade bait. I going to brave the elements tomorrow at Buckeye Lake.
I am a total novice when it comes to blade baits. I bought my first one on eBay about 5 years ago. I doubt I've tried to fish with them more than 25 times at this point and maybe only a handful when targeting bass. I just don't think a lot of people use them in Minnesota for bass or walleye.
Then you should definitely try them! I've caught really big fish on them in California, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio. And I'm talking a basic blade bait hunk of metal looking thing. I used to be so skeptical, but dang they work if the fish are chasing! And now I have this new blade bait information from watching Shawn that should up my catches considerable if I learn how to feel a hit on the fall. These are the ones I use, I buy 1/4 and 1/2 oz in nickel and brass, mostly use nickel but I'm going to try brass more in muddy water this season. cincyfisher.com/products/blade-bait-nickel
