Hello! Romanian here. So the smoked flavour in zacusca is because all the ingredients in it are cooked on the grill and then peled, mashed and cooked once more with the tomato sauce to bring you the goodness. So no artificial smoked flavour there.
Romania sausage is awesome I AGREE! There’s a Romanian man opening restaurant in ShenZhen, I bought two boxes of frozen sausages from him online and shipped to me, they are the best sausages I’ve ever had!😊
The mici (aka little ones) are grilled ground meat rolls in cylindrical shape but are not sausages, more like a burger ground meat in a different shape with different composition asi they us beef, pork and lamb all together with lots of spices.

That's really nice to hear Anna. Where do you live now? There is one thing we were wondering about: the people in Romania (and especially Bucharest) seemed not very fond of us making videos. If we got the camera out, people would disappear very quickly and made sure to get very far away from us (even if we weren't filming them). At the market outside, at first we were told by a security guard we were not allowed to film, etc. We've never encountered this in any country before. Is there a specific reason for that?
@@NaickKim I live in Ireland. Well people in outside stores are a little bit "private". There are a lot of vloggers in Romania that walk on streets, in malls and nobody look at them weird anymore. But the main reason is that in outside stores people that sell there aren't usually from town and they aren't "the youth" so a big part of them don't know English and they are ashamed or afraid you would ask them something...and I traveled a lot in Bucharest but people are very different there(they are nice but there is a difference between them and Transilvanian ones). Happy to see someone that actually did try the traditional food while traveling, I hope that restaurant's chef did us justice, as some restaurants use different recipes than what we'd call traditional, I once ate at one of those restaurants in Bucharest and even though the cabage rolls aka sarmales looked how they should, they did not taste anything close to what we're used to here in Transylvania and different from what I've tried in Moldova part of the country, same story with the Papanasi desert, I've ate hundreds of versions, each was done differently.
