What an amazing castle! We still can't believe how incredible it was on the inside. Transylvania is such a scenic area in Romania. Just the train ride alone is spectacular.
Peleș Castle is in Prahova County that is part of Wallachia/Muntenia not Transilvania (sorry for being the facts police :) ). Also the real Vlad the Impaler's Residence is in Poenari in Argeș County but is closed down because of bears. In Transilvania the best lookin castle is probably Corvin.
I noticed Naick already replied to you but when you say Vlad The Impaler's residence is closed down because of bears I (Kim) am imagining a bunch of bears living in a castle 😅 but I see your point 😉
@@NaickKim Oh they might aswell because they closed it to the public when they noticed there were too many wild bears in the forest surrounding it so i would imagine some of them found shelter inside it during the winter :0 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poenari_Castle. The castle they advertise as Dracula's Castle was a border garrison between Transilvania and Valahia to colect tax from the merchants passing thru so Vlad could have slept there a few times passing thru but never ruled from there is just that it matches the description in Stoker's book the best. It was only renovated and became a royal residence later on when Queen Mary of Romania used it for a while probably to have some chill from the courtiers babbling about all day :) So if you come back to visit Corvin Castle pass thru Dracula's Castle too and just sit in the inner courtyard and giggle at the newbies throwing coins in fountain inside because that was never a fountain is an elevator shaft that Queen Maria used to go to and from the gardens bellow and they just made it look like a fountain after restoring it :)
We looove Romania and especially Transilvania, so beautiful We didn't get to go to Peles castle, so it's so nice to see your visit. It really is a gorgeous castle!
Yes it is incredible and we were really surprised how beautiful it is. Not something we suspected to find in Romania. What area's did you go to in Transylvania? We're looking into returning in the summer and exploring more.
@@NaickKim We spent some time in the countryside near Cluj, (and did a bit of explorong therr) then about a week visiting Brasov, Sibiu, Timisoara and a few little day trips from those towns including Rasnov and Bran Castle. I really want to go back at some point.
The castles in Romania are really spectacular. 😽I always thought Europe was beautiful😘 I'd like to take a trip to Europe if I have the chance. Finally,I want wish you to have good luck on the trip😚. Thank you for showing me the world. 🤗
Yes, Europe has so many great places with such a rich history. You could travel for a lifetime here and never get bored! You should definitely visit a couple of European countries to discover other cultures and history. Thanks for the well wishing, we really appreciate it! Greetings from Cairo Egypt!
One of my favorite fun facts : 7:38 the Crown of King Carol I was forged at the Army Arsenal in Bucharest from the steel of a cannon captured by the Romanian Army from the Ottomans during the War of Independence . He wanted to symbolize the bravery of the romanian army ..so steel instead of gold
Actually, Peleș Castle is located in the historical Romanian province of Wallachia, not Transylvania! 🙂 But I am very glad you two had a great time in my country! 💛
@@NaickKim at that time Transylvania was still part of Hungary and the King of Romania just placed his castle at the border of Transylvania in Sinaia ,after few years Transylvania finaly became part of Romania
it doesn't matter where it is located, mate. It's still in Romania, let's stop this segregation shit, shall we? We all have the same country and what's Wallachian, Transilvanian, or Moldavian is also Romanian inheritance
Nice tour. Peleș Castle and Sinaia are in Tara Româneasca (Romanian Country) /Wallachia. You further cross the forest and you are in Transylvania. The producers of the Christmas Prince (on Netflix) placed it in Aldovia, so others too felt it looks like a movie set.
It is now the inspiration (interior and exterior architecture) for a castle in an upcoming video game (Resident Evil 8). In the game it is called "Castle Dimitrescu," and yes is located in Romania.
I just discovered you guys, and I love the way you present my home places. A huge "Thank you!" and looking forward at your channel for new amazing videos!
We were surprised at that as well. It was supposed to be snowing when we went there (we went on that day specifically in hopes of getting snow) but then the forecast changed super last minute 😊 but it was definitely cold, between 0 and minus 5 degrees Celsius
Global warming is happening, I am from Brasov it use to be a lot of snow when I was a kid. The temperature use to be -30 c degrees at times now the maxed I've seen were -10.

Fact for the people who doesn't know : Only the kings of Romania go there, and the small castle near it, Pelișor, is for the kings family, and they go there when the people wants to visit the original castle. The Romania's king died a few years ago and now you can see the castle, but i don't wanna lie so i don't know when you can. There is very beautiful and i've been there a lot of times.
Gee, they allowed you to film INSIDE the castle in 2020. IN 1916 when I visited that castle, it was NOT allowed to take pictures and filming. Now the castle belong to a private person, if I am not wrong, a....Habsburg member, not anymore to the Romanian government. Finally somebody who knows that Vlad III the Impaler did NOT lived in the Bran Castle, and KNOWS to pronounce the Peleș name.
