Hey Connor, first of all, thx for the podcasts, I enjoy them regularly. I’m wondering if you got a bit confused about Nick Castellanos and how he played this past season. You were saying how good and consistent he was. Hike it is true that he was decent in the post season both the past 2 seasons, during the season this past year, he was mediocre at best. The first 2 months or so he was I believe the worst player in mlb, then he improved and at the end of the year he was ok. Look at his stats. .742 OPS, .254 BA with 23 hrs. He was barely ok. I don’t think anyone would say he was great. I think most fans are most annoyed with his inconsistency for 2 months just doing nothing to help the team. Anyways, keep up the good shows
I love Casty, but he was absolutely statistically mediocre this year, with just a 0.8 WAR. Not sure what you mean, "one of the best years for position players." He's just streaky, so he has high highs and low lows.
If the Phillies trade Bohm they are a worse team. Who plays 3rd? Edmundo? He doesn't deserve it and is not an everyday player. Sign Kim? Kim is a bad offensive player and a clear downgrade. Sign Bregman? Steadily declining player that will get paid 30 m to not be much better than Bohm so yeah thats definitely not happening. What does prospects do for us lmao other than take us a half step forward in a couple years while having us step back 3 steps now its absolutely nonsensical while youre trying to win to trade everyday ML players for prospects that more than likely will never see a ML roster. Trading Bohm is one of the most terrible ideas i've heard in awhile because there is no way to make us better off of that trade because none of the players available raise the bar offensively from bohm and tahts what we need we don't need a glove merchant who is going to not hit in the playoffs.
