My primary concern about th gt is the tire.... will fm let you order a 2nd tire ? Cause knowing fm and their tactics I could see the tire wearing fast cause it would get them more money.... this is my main concern, putting the actual thing you roll ONs control in fm hands.. sending a board to them to change a tire is a deal breaker for me.
I'm not an early adopter for truly new designs but I can't imagine that these designs would be anything but evolutionary in nature. Should be as rock solid as the originals.

I made the charger plug mistake when I ordered my pint, I literally realized it like 5 minutes after I ordered so I emailed future motion and asked if they could add it to my order. They were unable to change my order but surprisingly they gave me a code for free shipping so that was cool.
I’m in Washington and my Pint x arrived today but no one was home to sign for it so it not getting to the ups store till tomorrow, or Monday 😭. I ordered release day
Kyle, the inventor of the Onewheel, went on record to say the GT is very water resistant out of the box. He mentioned it in the Onewheel podcast with Jimmy Chang as a guest. For what it’s worth, I haven’t heard of many water damage issues with Pints either.
Have the OneWheel XR (and love it).....sadly, I have a feeling a lot of folks are going to find out the hardway what that push-back profile is all about. Wish Future Motion fixed what I believe is a real flaw in the board regarding nose-dives. Boards a ton of fun but I guarantee with these new boards coming out we're going to see a lot more crash videos a few months from now. An audible alarm (or just slowing the board..instead of having motor cut out) would have been an HUGE improvement in these new boards. Especially with bigger batteries and higher speeds (even though speed isn't really much more than what I can currently get on XR). Just food for thought.....
The way I see it, we’ll have a bunch of new riders joining the community. There will be crashes and there will be people who have a lot of fun with the board like we do. And there will be people who have a lot of fun that crash! FM likely views noticeable pushback as a safety feature. I just hope they don’t get too aggressive with it so we can enjoy the extra headroom on the more powerful board.
The CEO didn’t mention it for legal reasons but the power is up 50% but the “advertised” top speed only 11% which means they addressed the the dreaded “N” word by leaving a ton of power and a bigger safety net for the pushback to do it’s job. If they would have had the same safety standard as the XR the top speed would I have been 26 mph

I love my new GT now that I've learned how to ride it.. Never had any kind of skateboard before, but my wife bought me the OW GT for my 70th Birthday last November. I absolutely love the therapeutic effect it has by clearing my head of everything but staying on my board! Ride Free youse guys & gals!

It could be a marketing tactic of artificially created scarcity but I’m going to have to buy both of these because I”m getting the GT but don’t want to just have my old Pint for possibly 3 more months.

I’ve heard too much negativity about it, and I think there will be a lot of people dissatisfied with the board. Those people will sell second hand and I will pick one of those up for the right price.
I think it is more likely that the GT shipping date will become sooner not later. I too have a “Jan 18” ship date but wouldn’t be surprised if these are already in the box It’s a bluff to get the addicts to buy the Pint X as well as the GT … this company has very clever marketing and you might soon witness a “miracle” and they start shipping in 3 weeks
Great Video. The one thing I did find out that I didn’t know before. If you place a preorder for Onewheel GT, even though it’s shipping in Mid-January they charge your credit card right away. Not when it’s ships. Not sure I like that, but it’s good to know. (Maybe Amazon has me spoiled)

@@lorendjones Really only one way to temp the alteration of that track record. To finish the product after the money is made. Right about now, a few cost cutting measures make a lot of sense.
So, I dropped 5g's on GT's (my initials btw) for my son and I. We've logged roughly 2200 mi each on our pints, and never regretted the purchase at all. We longed for the extra speed and range of the XR's, but never felt like we "settled". The wait is going to suck, but they will be here in time for spring. My take on the new boards.... well actually the "old" boards first... Pint is awesome and fun and pretty darn capable. If your only way is to go with the "cheapest" OW, then here you go. The Pint is plenty and you are getting a great product. The XR is the one of all that in my mind just became near obsolete... ok that seems harsh, but The Pint X has near the same performance as the XR and is like $400 cheaper and less bulky. The GT's... 32 mi range, concave pads, highest top speed, lights that actually provide useful light.... It just lapped its brothers in terms of capabilities IMO. The pints are the way to go if you are city/sidewalk riding and range is not so much of a issue. They are super nimble and have plenty of power. If you plan on doing mostly trails or bigger longer rides and you want the bigger platform then go with the XR or better yet GT. These are my OPINIONS Pint if budget is the issue Pint X is so amazing for the extra money... if you got the $$, then this is the best option for having literally the best mash-up of the FM OW line. XR I dunno... I guess.... it just doesn't appeal to me now, I only craved the extra speed and range and Pint X just mic dropped that shit. GT. If you can suck up that $$ lick, it's just the baddest thing OW offers, and I don't regret dropping 5k for my best bro (Son) and I at all.
I love that you’re getting GT’s for you and your son! Having a ‘best bro’ to ride and vibe with is incredible. I feel somewhat inclined to defend the XR. A couple of advantages for XR vs. Pint X: 1) Charge time, especially for the Hypercharger at 60 minutes for 0-Full, is incredible. 2) 3rd party customization options: A variety of tires, rail options, battery upgrades, and more, with some options exclusively available for the XR, make the XR special. That said, my XR tire currently has sidewall damage, and I'm riding my original Pint more often. I miss the higher average speed at above 15mph from my XR. Also, I consciously choose not to travel as far as to avoid the inconvenience of needing to charge. I hope you and your son get your GT’s ahead of schedule! I'm excited for you!
Got the Pint X with the bundle, after tax around $1700, expected shipping to be Nov 1. Did not buy the GT mainly because I didn't want to drop $2.2k+ and wait till 2022...not that patient 😁.
Thx Don… as a surfer and owning a professional unicycle and a long board, I thought owning a One Wheel ( esp the x) would be a good choice for me. More a commute to get groceries but also as a “toy”. As an experienced rider what in your opinion is a must have as accessories ( obviously the guard ) but for longevity and protecting the ride from the elements as much as possible? I will definitely get some kind of bundle package just to save some $ . Thx for hitting me up. Stan😎
The essential accessories, in my opinion, are the fast chargers, the fender (to keep rocks, puddles, and mud from kicking up onto your legs), and safety gear for you (helmet at minimum). I’d also encourage the charging port protector. Everything else is really optional. The rail guards make sure your board stays pristine, but Onewheels are built to take a beating.
you want some bearing covers, and there are badger kits so you can totally seal off the electric components with. other than that I mean, clean it after your ride especially with the salty air (cause I assume you live near the ocean)

@@followdon yeah ive been riding my EUC a lot more now for the speed and range. its more versatile but still ride the onewheel too sometimes. its just a different feel. ive been meaning to catch a group ride but always miss the date. maybe ill see you on the next one. keep up the great content on your channel 👍
The GT is dope, but it is THIRTY-FIVE freakin' pounds! I get that the range is fantastic, but that is a behemoth! I just returned from vacation with my 23 pound Pint and even that sucked to carry into and out of my hotel. The new Pint is 27lbs, which gets heavy quick. The range probably makes it worth it. So, if you plan to commute and take your One Wheel everywhere - the Pint X is a much better choice.
Hit the gym? Yeah I wouldn't want to go on a through hike carrying it, but for 10 minutes at a time? No difference... maybe just carry your pint around the house to get stronger?
@@OvertonWindex lol. It's not only the weight it's the skinny mag handle and the shape of the board. Carry for more than a few minutes and your fingers go numb. All of the weight is in the middle of your fingers not in the palm of your hand. Don't take my word for it. Go spend $2,400.00 and carry that beast around for a bit.
Carrying ANY Onewheel is no fun. They are meant to carry us. My XR, that weighs as much as the Pint X, and is heavy enough. I got the Maghandle Mount and installed a Maghandle Pro and that helps for sure. I’d actually recommend the Maghandle Pro to Pint X buyers. The rubberized grip makes a difference. It’s essential that the GT has a Maghandle Pro. Glad it’s included! For vacation, if I’m flying, I rent boards in the city I’m visiting using FriendWithA. No way a Pint X or a GT can fly fully-assembled!
I got a feeling push back on the GT is going to be just like the Pint x due to a few lawsuits future motion is going through over deaths. I need to see how that GT rides before I commit to $2,500...
That’s fair! I was just in a Telegram chat with local riders talking about this. Imagine if they programmed heavy pushback that made faster riding less comfortable than on the XR. And there are a lot of used XRs on the marketplace now. Still a great option for a lot of people. I do hope the GT’s ride feel and range make it worth the wait and the weight!
@@followdon I wouldn't be surprised if it is a little bit slower than the XR due to the extreme pushback. I don't know man I'm not crazy about that GT real thick rails makes it have a lower clearance and that specific tire means not a lot of options until the aftermarket gets in. Right now I have an XR and I use a unili tire for $25. And you know they're going to have GT locked down tighter than a frog's ass... Rumor is you'll have to send it back to Future motion just to add air to the tire.
I’m happy those videos are starting to answer some of the unknowns we had at launch. Based on the hype from the same video, I decided to buy the Lovehump to test it. Overall, I’m more excited than ever about the GT. I can’t wait to get mine in January!

I never seen anyone with a Onewheel before... that's why I never made the purchase yet. I want to see and touch it in person. That would make me want to buy it more.
Where do you live? I hadn’t seen many Onewheels, and I bought my first board without trying one. But as it turns out, DC had a huge Onewheel community. I could have gone on Facebook and searched DC or DMV Onewheel to find other riders. We also have a local vendor that sells boards. Official vendors, per their contract with Future Motion, must have a demo board. If there is a vendor near you, reach out to them! I had a hunch that Onewheel was going to be super fun, so I bought one, sight unseen. It was more fun than I imagined!
I think financing is the way to go if you can get a good rate. Especially if you plan to get the GT, since you won’t get the board until January at the earliest. Tough call on the “don’t have the money” part. I found my Onewheel SAVES me money because I’ve used it enough - instead of Uber-ing, Postmates-ing a meal, or paying for public transit. I’ve tracked my spending close enough to know that my investment in a board has had a positive ROI for me. If you decide it’s right for you, I’m excited for you to join the Onewheel fam. New York actually has a pretty big community of riders!
It's never a good idea to make a 24 month commitment to something you haven't even seen work. And nobody in the world even has. Watch a few 1000 mile reviews... then maybe finance.
Luckily rail guards are one of the lower cost options. Jewel Gray will be good for the fall season and you can grab Murdered Out when you get tired of it. That UI didn’t do us any favors though for sure!
I definitely want to get one and join the community to ride together. Though I will probably consider getting in late this year perhaps around late summer or early fall so I can save up enough. I always like getting the best one on the market like the GT but if the Pint X is best for beginners then I might consider getting that one instead.
All good! Riding in the warmer months feels amazing. Take the time to save for the board that you want. Beginners can ride any board. Due to the smaller rounder tire profile and smaller footpads, the Pint X may be the tougher of the two boards to learn. But you can learn to love and ride any Onewheel.

Your Pint X comes with black bumpers installed. In the essentials bundle you’ll get to choose an extra set of bumpers in the color of your choice. This is a good thing, because bumpers can get worn down over time. Having an extra set you can install is nice. The essentials bundle is a good choice since it includes a hyper charger and a fender. You may want to invest in a Maghandle Pro in the future because the included Maghandle is all plastic. It will possibly hurt your hand a bit to carry the plastic Maghandle, especially because the Pint X weighs as much as an XR (27 lbs). The fender will keep your shoes and pants clean if you run over a wet patch. The rail guards will help you protect the rails from scratches and also customize the color of your board. I’m excited for you! I know you’ll love your Onewheel!
That video was bunk the guy was erratic. Pushback will be at 15 … as soon as he said 15 he got pushback then he immediately said 17 cause he was accelerating too fast
Not the bumpers. Those are thicker to accommodate the bigger battery. Fenders, footpads and chargers can be used. Flight Fins can be installed. The rails aren’t swappable with anything that may have been designed for the Pint. Tires can be changed. Given time, parts and accessories will become available. We’re just unlikely to see the bountiful options we’ve enjoyed on the Pint and the XR for several years now. While 3rd party companies are catching up, Future Motion wants to sell you all the customizations that you’d want! I sincerely hope 3rd party tires become available quickly!
For the GT, seems like it. The rear pads can be customized with more aggressive concavity or the Love Hump with arch support. I’m buying the stock setup. I’ll likely get the other foot pads from our local vendor to test or I’ll try to get Future Motion to send me some!
Regardless of the board you buy, learning to ride safely is smart. Learning to identify the feeling of pushback and staying in the safer range of speeds will help keep you safe. Eyeing your terrain early and taking the appropriate preparatory action also helps. But you’re right that crashing at 19-20 mph can do some damage! Onewheel is fun and you can learn to ride it safely. Hope you pick one up!
Hoping it holds up! I tend to change tires every 1500 miles or so. That happens in about every four months for me. I’m definitely keeping my XR. I’m open to selling my Pint.
@@followdon I hope so too, at present I'm waiting to get a gt since I have the same range with my 4209 cbxr equipped xr, though more torque would be nice im willing to wait to see how tire wear goes and how problematic the gts are with no pcb memory. DO not ever let your gt get to 0% ( which will actually be about 5% ) and Mark my words here: disconnecting the power from the motor circuit will brick the board. That means if you somehow get spare tire, you will have to do tire change with motor cables attached ( its doable but more hastile ) ive not seen a gt in person yet, but I've worked on electronics my whole life, and I know Fm only cares about money, and not at all about its customers

If range and speed is your priority, there are definitely a ton of PEVs that top the Onewheel. Riding a Onewheel is a totally different vibe. Definitely invest in the proper safety gear for your EUC!
I hope that is the case. In my own experience, tires are the first thing to go. A lot of punctures can be fixed with the proper sealants, but at some point you’ll wear through the treads. For me that happens about every 1,700 miles. I also had a cable issue with the headlights on my XR that caused a flicker. I want to minimize my time off of the board, so it would stink to have to ship it all the way from DC to CA and wait for a repair from Future Motion in these circumstances.
It’s good to see they extended the sale and improved the board comparison tool. It shows the GT has custom shaping and 5 preset digital shaping modes now. And it confirms the Pint X does not have custom shaping.
I want it but i think I’m going to wait. Probably buy a new gaming pc and keep my pint. Then buy the GT mid next year whenever there are likely some accessories for it, plus I hopefully wouldn’t have to wait months for delivery. Getting plenty of reviews online to watch will be nice and who knows maybe ill find someone who will let me ride theirs 😏 hahah.
I sure hope the shipping is insured! I tend to ship to the office for my job where the receptionist can sign for it. It’ll be a big box this time, but I’ll ride the board home and carry the empty box 📦

@@followdon True. I still have my Pint but after I got the EUC and was able to face forward, I can't go back to riding sideways and twisting my back and knee to face forward. My back got to where it hurt all the time on the Onewheel.
Hardcore riders? You mean hardcore posers or idiots that think this shit is about speed or money?! Stop talking about top speeds! Thats what made me almost have to quit this shit! I was hitting 25+ mph everyday but 2 successive hard falls WITHOUT PUSHBACK made me look at this company completely different. They just don’t give a shit.. Im as hard as they come an I won’t step on a GT or XR because they can’t do what I want them to do.. just because you buy a GT or XR doesn’t put you above anyone..pints are harder to ride so pint riders are more skilled. We top! That’s a fact! I would never recommend these for commuting. Just way too dangerous, limiting and impractical.
XR pushback is subtler, but it’s present. The moment you feel confident and are pushing faster speeds, I recommend riding with your app open to monitor and make sure you aren’t pushing too far beyond the board’s advertised limits. I’m sorry to hear about your high speed crashes. I agree the Pint Pros have to be more skilled than XR riders in some ways. I do commute in the city daily and film the videos for this channel while riding my Onewheel.

I’ve heard too much negativity about it, and I think there will be a lot of people dissatisfied with the board. Those people will sell second hand and I will pick one of those up for the right price.
I think it is more likely that the GT shipping date will become sooner not later.
I too have a “Jan 18” ship date but wouldn’t be surprised if these are already in the box

Great Video. The one thing I did find out that I didn’t know before. If you place a preorder for Onewheel GT, even though it’s shipping in Mid-January they charge your credit card right away. Not when it’s ships. Not sure I like that, but it’s good to know. (Maybe Amazon has me spoiled)
VERY GOOD POINT! It's probably for the best that they at least hold the funds. No one wants a New Years surprise of $2600 magically disappearing from their bank account. It's so easy to forget about money you spend at times.
A deposit would have been a more ethical way to go rather than a two month interest free loan to Future Motion.

So, I dropped 5g's on GT's (my initials btw) for my son and I. We've logged roughly 2200 mi each on our pints, and never regretted the purchase at all. We longed for the extra speed and range of the XR's, but never felt like we "settled". The wait is going to suck, but they will be here in time for spring.
My take on the new boards.... well actually the "old" boards first... Pint is awesome and fun and pretty darn capable. If your only way is to go with the "cheapest" OW, then here you go. The Pint is plenty and you are getting a great product. The XR is the one of all that in my mind just became near obsolete... ok that seems harsh, but The Pint X has near the same performance as the XR and is like $400 cheaper and less bulky. The GT's... 32 mi range, concave pads, highest top speed, lights that actually provide useful light.... It just lapped its brothers in terms of capabilities IMO.
The pints are the way to go if you are city/sidewalk riding and range is not so much of a issue. They are super nimble and have plenty of power.
If you plan on doing mostly trails or bigger longer rides and you want the bigger platform then go with the XR or better yet GT.
These are my OPINIONS
Pint if budget is the issue
Pint X is so amazing for the extra money... if you got the $$, then this is the best option for having literally the best mash-up of the FM OW line.
XR I dunno... I guess.... it just doesn't appeal to me now, I only craved the extra speed and range and Pint X just mic dropped that shit.
GT. If you can suck up that $$ lick, it's just the baddest thing OW offers, and I don't regret dropping 5k for my best bro (Son) and I at all.
I love that you’re getting GT’s for you and your son! Having a ‘best bro’ to ride and vibe with is incredible.
I feel somewhat inclined to defend the XR. A couple of advantages for XR vs. Pint X:
1) Charge time, especially for the Hypercharger at 60 minutes for 0-Full, is incredible.
2) 3rd party customization options: A variety of tires, rail options, battery upgrades, and more, with some options exclusively available for the XR, make the XR special.
That said, my XR tire currently has sidewall damage, and I'm riding my original Pint more often. I miss the higher average speed at above 15mph from my XR. Also, I consciously choose not to travel as far as to avoid the inconvenience of needing to charge.
I hope you and your son get your GT’s ahead of schedule! I'm excited for you!

Got the Pint X with the bundle, after tax around $1700, expected shipping to be Nov 1. Did not buy the GT mainly because I didn't want to drop $2.2k+ and wait till 2022...not that patient 😁.

Thx Don… as a surfer and owning a professional unicycle and a long board, I thought owning a One Wheel ( esp the x) would be a good choice for me. More a commute to get groceries but also as a “toy”. As an experienced rider what in your opinion is a must have as accessories ( obviously the guard ) but for longevity and protecting the ride from the elements as much as possible? I will definitely get some kind of bundle package just to save some $ . Thx for hitting me up. Stan😎
The essential accessories, in my opinion, are the fast chargers, the fender (to keep rocks, puddles, and mud from kicking up onto your legs), and safety gear for you (helmet at minimum). I’d also encourage the charging port protector. Everything else is really optional. The rail guards make sure your board stays pristine, but Onewheels are built to take a beating.
you want some bearing covers, and there are badger kits so you can totally seal off the electric components with. other than that I mean, clean it after your ride especially with the salty air (cause I assume you live near the ocean)
awesome video Don. man that GT!! my old onewheel plus tops out at 18mph with kickback after 15mph. seriously thinking about selling and upgrading for that extra power and speed. going to wait till later when GT riders post their reviews. thanks for the info 👍

The GT is dope, but it is THIRTY-FIVE freakin' pounds! I get that the range is fantastic, but that is a behemoth! I just returned from vacation with my 23 pound Pint and even that sucked to carry into and out of my hotel. The new Pint is 27lbs, which gets heavy quick. The range probably makes it worth it. So, if you plan to commute and take your One Wheel everywhere - the Pint X is a much better choice.
Hit the gym? Yeah I wouldn't want to go on a through hike carrying it, but for 10 minutes at a time? No difference... maybe just carry your pint around the house to get stronger?
@@OvertonWindex lol. It's not only the weight it's the skinny mag handle and the shape of the board. Carry for more than a few minutes and your fingers go numb. All of the weight is in the middle of your fingers not in the palm of your hand. Don't take my word for it. Go spend $2,400.00 and carry that beast around for a bit.

Carrying ANY Onewheel is no fun. They are meant to carry us. My XR, that weighs as much as the Pint X, and is heavy enough. I got the Maghandle Mount and installed a Maghandle Pro and that helps for sure. I’d actually recommend the Maghandle Pro to Pint X buyers. The rubberized grip makes a difference. It’s essential that the GT has a Maghandle Pro. Glad it’s included!
For vacation, if I’m flying, I rent boards in the city I’m visiting using FriendWithA. No way a Pint X or a GT can fly fully-assembled!

That’s fair! I was just in a Telegram chat with local riders talking about this. Imagine if they programmed heavy pushback that made faster riding less comfortable than on the XR.
And there are a lot of used XRs on the marketplace now. Still a great option for a lot of people.
I do hope the GT’s ride feel and range make it worth the wait and the weight!
@@followdon I wouldn't be surprised if it is a little bit slower than the XR due to the extreme pushback. I don't know man I'm not crazy about that GT real thick rails makes it have a lower clearance and that specific tire means not a lot of options until the aftermarket gets in. Right now I have an XR and I use a unili tire for $25. And you know they're going to have GT locked down tighter than a frog's ass... Rumor is you'll have to send it back to Future motion just to add air to the tire.

I watched the long gt ride by Onewheel and he said the pushback was a happy medium between pint and xr. I think he said it comes at around 19.5 mph
I’m happy those videos are starting to answer some of the unknowns we had at launch. Based on the hype from the same video, I decided to buy the Lovehump to test it. Overall, I’m more excited than ever about the GT. I can’t wait to get mine in January!

I never seen anyone with a Onewheel before... that's why I never made the purchase yet. I want to see and touch it in person. That would make me want to buy it more.
Where do you live? I hadn’t seen many Onewheels, and I bought my first board without trying one. But as it turns out, DC had a huge Onewheel community. I could have gone on Facebook and searched DC or DMV Onewheel to find other riders.
We also have a local vendor that sells boards. Official vendors, per their contract with Future Motion, must have a demo board. If there is a vendor near you, reach out to them!
I had a hunch that Onewheel was going to be super fun, so I bought one, sight unseen. It was more fun than I imagined!

I think financing is the way to go if you can get a good rate. Especially if you plan to get the GT, since you won’t get the board until January at the earliest.
Tough call on the “don’t have the money” part. I found my Onewheel SAVES me money because I’ve used it enough - instead of Uber-ing, Postmates-ing a meal, or paying for public transit. I’ve tracked my spending close enough to know that my investment in a board has had a positive ROI for me.
If you decide it’s right for you, I’m excited for you to join the Onewheel fam. New York actually has a pretty big community of riders!
It's never a good idea to make a 24 month commitment to something you haven't even seen work. And nobody in the world even has. Watch a few 1000 mile reviews... then maybe finance.

Luckily rail guards are one of the lower cost options. Jewel Gray will be good for the fall season and you can grab Murdered Out when you get tired of it. That UI didn’t do us any favors though for sure!

I definitely want to get one and join the community to ride together. Though I will probably consider getting in late this year perhaps around late summer or early fall so I can save up enough. I always like getting the best one on the market like the GT but if the Pint X is best for beginners then I might consider getting that one instead.
All good! Riding in the warmer months feels amazing. Take the time to save for the board that you want.
Beginners can ride any board. Due to the smaller rounder tire profile and smaller footpads, the Pint X may be the tougher of the two boards to learn. But you can learn to love and ride any Onewheel.

Hello . I want to get PINT X ESSENTIALS BUNDLE. My question is is it come with extra bumper or it is just 1 bumper painted different color ?
Your Pint X comes with black bumpers installed. In the essentials bundle you’ll get to choose an extra set of bumpers in the color of your choice. This is a good thing, because bumpers can get worn down over time. Having an extra set you can install is nice.
The essentials bundle is a good choice since it includes a hyper charger and a fender. You may want to invest in a Maghandle Pro in the future because the included Maghandle is all plastic. It will possibly hurt your hand a bit to carry the plastic Maghandle, especially because the Pint X weighs as much as an XR (27 lbs).
The fender will keep your shoes and pants clean if you run over a wet patch. The rail guards will help you protect the rails from scratches and also customize the color of your board.

Can you use all pint accessories on the pint x?
Not the bumpers. Those are thicker to accommodate the bigger battery. Fenders, footpads and chargers can be used. Flight Fins can be installed. The rails aren’t swappable with anything that may have been designed for the Pint. Tires can be changed. For the GT, seems like it. The rear pads can be customized with more aggressive concavity or the Love Hump with arch support. I’m buying the stock setup. I’ll likely get the other foot pads from our local vendor to test or I’ll try to get Future Motion to send me some!

The GT looks way too fast for me. A spill on that thing would do some massive damage.
Regardless of the board you buy, learning to ride safely is smart. Learning to identify the feeling of pushback and staying in the safer range of speeds will help keep you safe. Eyeing your terrain early and taking the appropriate preparatory action also helps.
But you’re right that crashing at 19-20 mph can do some damage!
Onewheel is fun and you can learn to ride it safely. Hope you pick one up!

Hoping it holds up! I tend to change tires every 1500 miles or so. That happens in about every four months for me. I’m definitely keeping my XR. I’m open to selling my Pint.
@@followdon I hope so too, at present I'm waiting to get a gt since I have the same range with my 4209 cbxr equipped xr, though more torque would be nice im willing to wait to see how tire wear goes and how problematic the gts are with no pcb memory. DO not ever let your gt get to 0% ( which will actually be about 5% ) and Mark my words here: disconnecting the power from the motor circuit will brick the board. That means if you somehow get spare tire, you will have to do tire change with motor cables attached ( its doable but more hastile ) ive not seen a gt in person yet, but I've worked on electronics my whole life, and I know Fm only cares about money, and not at all about its customers

If range and speed is your priority, there are definitely a ton of PEVs that top the Onewheel. Riding a Onewheel is a totally different vibe.
Definitely invest in the proper safety gear for your EUC!

The GT is a tank. repairs won’t be common.
I hope that is the case. In my own experience, tires are the first thing to go. A lot of punctures can be fixed with the proper sealants, but at some point you’ll wear through the treads. For me that happens about every 1,700 miles. I also had a cable issue with the headlights on my XR that caused a flicker. I want to minimize my time off of the board, so it would stink to have to ship it all the way from DC to CA and wait for a repair from Future Motion in these circumstances.

Im as hard as they come an I won’t step on a GT or XR because they can’t do what I want them to do.. just because you buy a GT or XR doesn’t put you above anyone..pints are harder to ride so pint riders are more skilled. We top!

I would never recommend these for commuting. Just way too dangerous, limiting and impractical.
XR pushback is subtler, but it’s present. The moment you feel confident and are pushing faster speeds, I recommend riding with your app open to monitor and make sure you aren’t pushing too far beyond the board’s advertised limits.
I’m sorry to hear about your high speed crashes. I agree the Pint Pros have to be more skilled than XR riders in some ways.
I do commute in the city daily and film the videos for this channel while riding my Onewheel.
