is that what the metal joist hangers are for ? I want to build the same design at my home. but I dont want the heated flooor sitting proud above the shower base. so that the transition is flat for tiles.
@@REGDORTNARG yea the recess kit allows the pan to sit on top of the joists. Your sub straight should be 5/8”. The WEDI pan is about the 3/4” so it sits just slightly higher than the subfloor. So when you lay your schluter heat membrane, it will be at the same night as the WEDI shower pan. I’ve never had an issue.
