    You could have done that with a far smaller machine. I have both the DCH733 and the DCH481. I bought the 733 because the 481 was underpowered for what we do and I can safely say that the 481 would have been a far more appropriate tool for that job. I The 481 has only a slightly higher vibration level at 9.4m/s² ( the 733 has 9.0m/s²) but much less weight which would have been easier on the operator, less tiring. The 733 weighs in at a colossal 9.9kg where as the 481, by comparison, is a svelte 5.4kg but still packs a mighty 6.1 joules of impact, more than enough for taking up a few tiles. What do we do? We install groundscrews for sheds and garden buildings. Typically we will use 68mm (2.5") or 76mm (3") diameter groundscrews up to 2.5m long (100"). The DCH's are used for punching a 40mm diameter by 800mm deep pilot hole in the ground In the Autumn, winter, and spring, when the ground is wet, the DCH481N is man enough for the job. But in the summer, when the top 200mm (8") of the soil has dried like a rock, the DCH733 comes out to play and the ground finds out who the boss is!

    Im a DeWaukee....or is that MilWalt...guy. 😆 For the battery stuff, I'm invested in the 20v DeWalt tools, for the HD corded industrial stuff, it's all Milwaukee. My PackOut boxes are filled with black & yellow. One company doesn't make the best everything. Brand loyalty is great, to an extent, but my biggest concern is the right/best tool for the job and is ultimately all I care about. Awesome setup! Now if we can get you into an F-350 or F-450, it'd be perfect!!! (stirring the pot😂)👍

But if you talk to anyone that fixes power tools they will tell you just how bad and how poorly made they are. They will tell you for hard us everyday use go with another brand that they are a boutique diy tool. You cant by parts for them and that when you can get parts thatbyou might as well just by a whole new tool because of how much parts are.

    Disclaimer, I have the Milwaukee Packout storage. I love the organization you set up for your trailer. It looks very functional. Nice job! My Dad is a Dewalt guy, my cordless tools are Makita, (Makita portable and jobsite storage UGH, Very disappointing.) Dad and I having different brand tools is great when we are working together. It makes for simple organization and cleanup. If it's black and yellow its his. If not its probably mine. (Dewalt guys and Makita or Milwaukee guys can work together.😂)

    My home is almost 1700sqft and it's a full basement. Would I have to get a 2nd HVAC system? I live in mid Michigan and it gets SUPER cold. Already hitting below freezing here.

    • @scavettarenovationdesignin8953
      @scavettarenovationdesignin8953 11 месяцев назад

      You shouldn’t have to add another hvac system. Depending on the age of the home, You should already have a few heat runs or supplies in the basement already. If you don’t, you can always add a few. Best is to consult a mechanical engineer. They would be the best person to evaluate your current hvac system and advise you on heat loss, adding heat runs and/or increasing the size of your furnace. Hope this helps! Stay warm!

    Great video man! Question for you, if you already had roughed in plumbing in the basement for the toilet/sink/shower would you have put your subfloor system in here as well?

    • @scavettarenovationdesignin8953
      @scavettarenovationdesignin8953 11 месяцев назад

      Definitely not! Subfloor in the basement is technically “floating “. If we tile this, we risk the tile cracking. Instead we in stall 1/2” concrete board with thin set to the concrete floor

  • @liamnixon5237
    @liamnixon5237 11 месяцев назад

    Did u guys end up putting the delta floor and subfloor down before the tile? Or did the tile membrane go right onto the concrete?

    • @scavettarenovationdesignin8953
      @scavettarenovationdesignin8953 11 месяцев назад

      We definitely did NOT put the delta and subfloor in the washroom floor. I use half inch notch trowel for thin set, and I lay half inch concrete board. This matches the hight of the subfloor out side the bathroom perfectly. Thanks for watching, cheers.
