I agree with you that dysphoria doesn't go away on testosterone. Aspects of it certainly do as you mentioned but I also feel like you become more aware of certain body parts/areas that do not belong. After starting testosterone I became more aware of my chest and how much I want it gone for example, it just so clearly does not belong and it's uncomfortable. I think because throughout transitioning you have to be so self aware that dysphoria is always lurking in the back corner. Hopefully it just becomes more manageable as time goes on, that's what I like to believe anyways.
Caden, I have a favor to ask you. I don't know what your career goals are, but I want you to consider a career in teaching and/or counseling. You have so much natural talent in those fields. You are such a compassionate, articulate, and genuine person that you would excel. You would save lives and improve lives. Also, that smile of yours is dangerous--------so infectious. Bro, that email you promised a week ago must have gotten lost in cyberspace. I know you were all caught up in the Pride festival in SF so that's gonna be your excuse. But I'm still waiting, dude...................Ray
Well met Caden, I'm a 26-year old guy (pre T, will start teraphy in a couple of months) and I just want to say thank you. I've known this all my life and now when I'm finally open with all of this, each day feels like an eternity until I can start transitioning. Watching your videos helps me alot.. More than I can explain with words. They calm me down. Thank you so very much..
Awesome video, Caden. You brought up a lot of important points. Hell, I'm over 3 years on T and still have bouts with dysphoria. Not as much as before, but it's still there.
Testosterone definitely helped with my dysphoria, but it doesn't take it away completely.. least not yet. I think though that even cis gendered guys probably look at their body's at some point and find something they don't like either.
I agree, it is definitely more complex. I think it just helps me personally sometimes to remember that everyone has struggles with their body sometimes. Like you mentioned in your video though, my bottom dysphoria has gotten worse since starting T. Too.
You are sooo right about that, as a cis male that went through being overweight and has cis male friends with similar problems I can confirm that it's true.
Do you believe it can help with anxiety? I read an article about how low testosterone levels in men can cause anxiety and I wonder if it could be true for ftms..
Diana G. It made my anxiety and depression so much better, and a lot of things can cause anxiety but if you work on it yourself and want to improve it then yes it will get better and i think the T for me at least helped a lot
Caden yea, I know there are different reasons for anxiety to be present.. and thank you for letting me know it helped you, I'm glad it has (: By any chance do you know of any natural testosterone boosters?
Hey Caden. Love what you do. Keep it up. I haven't posted many videos on my channel but I seem to be one of the few trans guys that have multiple sclerosis and is transitioning. Anyways, I have a question for you. I'm 13 weeks on T, my voice and face are all changing but in the beginning did you ever go out and feel more dysphoric because you feel like you don't look male enough? I mean like what you see in the mirror is not what you feel on the inside? I know it's kind of a confusing question... I love my changes but it's still stuck in my head that I'm too feminine or I don't pass even if people call me sir. Like an insecurity that you can't exactly shake. Hopefully it'll pass as I get further into my transition. Thanks again for posting your videos!

Cody_talks but remember that dysphoria isn't the same as not liking a part of your body, its much more complex than that but yes true similar!
I agree, it is definitely more complex. I think it just helps me personally sometimes to remember that everyone has struggles with their body sometimes. Like you mentioned in your video though, my bottom dysphoria has gotten worse since starting T. Too.
yeah i think so too man it does help, and yeah i think that normal you know? Who knows maybe it will get better with time you know?
