Does anyone have a link to that challenge run mentioned at 2:20:30? (Pokemon Blue Glitched Catch em All No start, select, or b). I tried to look it up but couldn't find it, wasn't sure if it was public on youtube.
I asked the guy who did it, gifvex, and he said that stream didn't get saved (apparently it was very long and there was a lot of working stuff out as he went along), but he wants to revisit the idea sometime and make it more of a speedrun. Here's hoping!

Always love seeing more speedruns. First time I played this game I beat it with Just Eevee. Had to turn off motion controls. Never could get used to them.
Nothing. it's just an empty pokeball on the table. Oak only had 1 pokemon, that's why he was out in the grass. He was trying to catch something so he would have a second pokemon so he could give both of the trainers one.
the add 30 second microwave hack is the only way i use a microwave because no matter the amount of time is needed for food it starts heating. it always is faster, unless you are trying to prepare something else and more than 4 button pushes would be slower than just punching in the time.
You can't actually stop with lvl 3s because a huge part of attack power comes from your level doubling with your levels. So a lvl 50 with 50 attack is stronger than a lvl 5 with 250 attack. (tried it with the weedle line)
I remember shiny hunting for Mewtwo back when the game came out, it took so long I stopped playing for awhile, then trying again like 3-5 months later, got it in 40 attempts
I always thought suicune was a goat. It has horn-things and a beard-thing. Also, water goat seemed like a cool mythological concept to me as a kid. I was weird :D
I feel superior for having a twist dial on my microwave; looks like an old radio tuner. No buttons to hit no start to press just a quick finger twist. Not having a clock on it is honestly a plus side because I don't have to worry about resetting it after power outages and daylight savings time, plus it's a tiny bit more eco-friendly for lighting up. (Ref. Convo around the 3hr26m mark)
I could only play this game in handheld mode because of the catching.. the ball never goes where I want it to. It feels completely random. I’ll throw to the left and it goes to the right. So I used handheld so I could just aim and press A. So much better.

Non-flying types that learn Fly:
- Vikavolt (bug/electric), Drampa (normal/dragon), Flapple (grass/dragon) all learn it naturally.
- Dragons by TM: Vibrava, Flygon, Latios, Latias, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Naganadel, Dragapult, Eternatus
- Others by TM: Mew, Arceus, Golurk, Volcarona, Genesect, Tapu Koko, Lunala
And most/all gen 1 pokemon if you make a hybrid

How did you "turn off" motion controls? As far as I know, unless you’re playing in handheld mode, they’re required.

you can find bulbasaur in viridain forest, its just hard to find
but that's why bellsprout (oddish in Pikachu) is the preferred grass type to show in pewter gym. they are way more consistent than bulbasaur
