Didn’t even know that happened. At that time CD’s were still being printed primarily and the master goes to the manufacturing plants about 1 month before release to be pressed and shipped to retail. In those days it was almost always leaks from the manufacturing plant.
Yeh but lack of sleep is not good for you, why not just give yourself the time to record with adequate healthy sleep instead of drinking unhealthy energy drinks, and she's going travelling after this lack of sleep binge and you both feel really fluish so what was the point? This doesn't seem smart and I'm the biggest Beyoncé fan in the world, why are people praising this? Your health is your wealth, work / life balance is really important. It wasn't even that great an album.
I hear you, but the point of the story was not about health and wellness, it was about being so passionate about something that you are willing to sacrifice anything for it. That is the mentality those who achieve that incredibly high level of success have. The majority of people do value those things you describe, like rest, relaxation, life balance etc. But those who are so driven, so focused on a singular goal, are able to achieve it through sacrifice and dedication. That dedication doesn't start and stop between the hours of 9 and 5.
