You will get very similar results if you use Cinema 4D option. I always like to pre-compose my 3D models (cubes in this case). You can put any effect on the pre-composed layers.
Great man. I really appreciate your content. You are providing high quality tutorials of after effect using advanced 3D methods. Thank you for pushing our creativity too with your great lessons.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate your support 😃 will surely keep on adding new content. Trying to keep them as relevant as possible! While keeping up with my day to day tasks. Many thanks!
Comment on Point! I prefer 30 Minutes Tutorials to understand what is going on there so that one Day i dont need Tutorials anymore Instead of 2 Minutes Tutorials that i have to watch over and over again cause i never learned it while just copying it! Keep it up Stephan!
Just went through the whole thing. Really cool! The only step that I think wasn't shown in the tutorial was creating the "glass scene" comp so make sure to create that after you create your "orb - animation" and "orb animation b&w" comps. Then inside of your "glass scene" comp - add the orb animation comp along w/ your orb animation b&w and do your track matte there. Thanks Stephan! 👍
Thank you so much for your comment and congrats on watching it all, it's quite a long one! Yes, I didn't want to repeat too much the simple steps, but yes, your explanation is spot on :)
i have been using after effects for about 3 years now and i am blown away with the methods and knowledge that i recieved from your tutorials thankyou for such a great informative and easily explained content
So glad to hear that you are finding these helpful. I am trying to share the insights that I have discovered in my career :) Appreciate the comment! :)
underrated channel, Dude, you are probably the best motion graphics designer I've seen here on youtube who teaches advanced techniques like this. keep uploading we support you till you get 1M subs!
you have been fantastic tutorial maker Stephen! i am going to recommend your channel to our group! You should have really big number of followers! Keep Creating like this. Lot of people are getting helped by you! Small Request if you can make some videos of Products features!
@stephanzammit Thank you for such quick reply. I meant if some product oriented quick ad tutorial. This type of tutorial lot of small to mid size audience is searching to learn or understand the way to quick product and feature ad for products like tile adhesive, grout or any other product.
That's the best AE lessons I've ever had! Without any tricks like "go there, buy this, it's cheap" or "now u need to open AI/PS/Canva and create this ant that (i will not show u how, btw)". Thank u very much for your videos!!! Complicated subjects in a simple way
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that you left the comment even though you cannot speak english well... I am not an english native either. Many thanks!
damn man you finally made it love. waited too much for the orb one and that orb transprancey one was amazing. btw i was hopping you could make something about parallax scenes like how can we intergrade these motion graphics into parallax scene visualissing a scene or story
Yes, that's a great tip! I didn't show it in this case as I wanted to show the Stagger Layers feature. Totally agree... the LoopOut expressions are super handy!
Thanks for your suggestion and comment! Yes that's a good alternative. In this case I went for a more surreal look. Caustics would definitely look great!
You can definitely use the loopout expression. In that case I wanted to show that specific feature in AE, but there are of course multiple ways to go about it :)
Sure! This tutorial tackles a few examples of Faux 3D, the spheres themselves (apart from the 3D cubes) are kind of Faux 3D. However, I agree, we can go a bit deeper in that topic. Its actually a topic which I love as it has so much potential.
Thank you for your comment :) I hvae done a video covering the basics on such backgrounds, I will continue covering that topic in more detail. Have a look here: ruclips.net/video/R2ptKkUjgt0/видео.html

I wish you can do a tutorial about how to make smooth animation especially with the easing, easing is the most important aspect in motion design that makes huge difference. one of the smoothest motion design I've seen is the youtube channel called "burnwe" just look at how smooth their animations and I believe it's because of the easing techniques they use either using speed graph or value graph. I couldn't figure out what magic they use to their animations, I've tried doing it but I couldn't achieve their level especially how the easing that starts slow and snaps quickly at the end.
Yes this all have to do with the graph editor. The Graph Editor is one of the most important things when it comes to Motion Design in AE. Will surely cover more on that topic. In one of my recent video I actually go over this topic a bit and explain how to create better animations. Have a look here: ruclips.net/video/-gXyTifOZBQ/видео.html

Is the orb the same as the one used in your "Advanced 3D After Effects Motion Graphics Tutorial" video ?
The first orb yes, it's the same orb. Then I show you how to create 2 other orb styles :)

I think a better approach for the transparent sphere rotating withe the magnifier glass effect, would be exploring caustics instead of shadows.
Thanks for your suggestion and comment! Yes that's a good alternative. In this case I went for a more surreal look. Caustics would definitely look great!
4:49 instead id duplicate.. we can use loopout expression .. is there any difference ?

This is available from AE 2024 onwards. If you don't have this you can also use the Cinema 4d Option, which gives similar results :)
Loop out ao invés de sequence layer, e melhor e ajuda no peso do arquivo
Yes, that's definitely a good option! Thanks for sharing! :)
