These are the 3 action cameras that I use to document and capture the action. As a dad, being able to record footage easily on the go is important. Because all 3 of these camera's fit in my pocket and have great stabilization they are all good options.
The Ace Pro is the newest camera from Insta360 with the best image quality. The X3 is the most dynamic camera lending itself to capture some of the most unique and creative angles. The Go 3 is the smallest and highest weight camera allowing you to use it on a kid helmet with ease.

Thanks for the details on all 3. That X3 is fantastic, especially with the ski pole mount, and I like that it doesn't distort too much.
This is turning into a "Get it while you can" ski season, and I'm watching the forecasts and hoping for a 4th day in the Sierras

Have you or would you ever try the DJI Action 4 camera? Of the three you showed, do you have a favorite?

I use the Ace Pro and the X3 the most. It’s honestly hard to choose a favourite because they do different things.
The Ace Pro is easiest to use with great quality. It’s simple because it’s one lense. I love the higher frame rates, the 4k or even 8k resolution….but the X3 is a really creative camera and truly allows me to jot miss the action. It’s a bit more time consuming to reframe when I shoot a lot of footage - but the uniqueness makes it worth it!

does the x3 have one of those things where you can put it on your helmet?

You can mount it to your helmet like a normal action camera or you can use a “unicorn” mount which extends it out in front on a small rod.
