Around 39:00, Sid says that when there is a lot of stuff to do, we get more things done and when there is less stuff to do, we get less things done. I believe this is called Parkinson's law - "Work expands to fill the time you have allotted to complete it." So if you have less work, you will still take long to do it, and be less productive at it. I guess that is why as Tanmay said over-clocking your calendar helps.
In short- stress/pressure balance- by routine, deadline etc Associating the real meanings- creativity Note taking- categorise the meanings in your terms for future reference
Its so funny to realise that i see physics in everyday things and it gives me the greatest joy to see the simple universal principles(which again is created by humans to understand phenomena and form patterns) everywhere around me. Also biology man, i cannot seperate it from everything around us and how we percieve stuff which makes me so damn happy. Which is also why i want to know more of human body and recignize chemistry, physics and sociology in and around us and how we process it. Amazing info! I am really excited to learn these things in college during my MBBS. If i am fortunate enough to have such a good teacher.
Hi Siddharth! This is by far one of the best videos from your discussions together that I have come across! I am an artist who loves so many things that I could never fit into a word or a box. I recently started writing poetry apart from journaling and painting, being a designer after having completed B.E. I still continue to find my place in the professional world. Seeing this today brought me so much peace and I continue to blur the lines between art, writing, science and philosophy, even in my work. Words are limiting and none of us truly and exactly experience what another does; we merely have a broad idea about it. I understood more from your neuroscience videos than most of the books and the philosophy that I have read! Sending you all tons of good vibes and love! Keep up the good work.
This is really mind-blowing conversation. I too realise with my day, when I have less task it's really tough to complete it but when I have many task I completed all within time limit with level of perfection that required.
Learnings •Use right amount of fear stress to manipulate your mind into learning Key - importance •Overclocking day For me adding so many daily target's That i have pressure to complete And so will achieve 80% targets Key - pressure
Absolutely amazing. I loved your session so much that I was taking notes before I knew note taking = Outsourcing memory. Learned so much in this session. Thank you
Thank you Sid for making this stuff available for Free :)You are really good at what you do. Im so looking forward to part 2 of Neuroscience of Love :) #sidopinthechatplease
When we assign meaning to sounds, they make words. Articulation is using just the right word in the given context to convey your thoughts without any loss of information.
One of my seniors, he left med. College in final year..and he is the lead of Saitan Theatre Group, in Delhi!! He went from a linear to nonlinear phase!!!🔥🔥🖤
Interesting conversation. Here's something about notetaking: When you try to understand/memorize/learn things, your brain makes neural connections/pathways. The more you try to revise/access/apply that thing, the pathways form again. The more these pathways/connections are made, the better you internalize/remember that thing. When you make notes, you are forced to recall what you just heard/saw, recreate it in a verbal/visual way in your brain, and then put it down on paper. So, essentially, even when you consume the concept once, you're re-igniting the neural pathways multiple times by notetaking. This is why you learn/remember/internalize things better when you take notes.
What sid said the more you do the more get done , my minnd clicked I have heard this earlier, And that was in one of ssr interview or something, that guy had some concept clear ....
Sid, you did the best thing to do Live Stream. Already loving your lectures on Tanmay's channel. I am sure with more of such live streams this channel will grow exponentially. Best wishes. :)
Great video. Got to learn a lot. Always had a negative connotation with the word deadline and stress, turns out these can be used to our advantage. And great insight about note taking - outsourcing to a visual construct, amazing way to put it. This video was trippy. Loved it!
Creativity is unlearning the meaning by forgetting about the boundaries of words and just mixing them together and doing a new oit of it , Just WOW ❤. Amazing 🎉🎉❤ 😅😅
YOU are the most awesome teacher of how the brain functions I have ever known. I wish you and your channel a Billion subscribers so that there are better human beings on earth.

What tanmay bhat do in the last when he gave example of rebel as antinational actually he is mixing comedy politics and the neuroscience..thats why it makes magic in our mind and we laugh..😄
Wow! started with this series today, I'm glad to have crossed this thought of knowledge being arbitrary at some point in my life previously and also during the lockdown as an awakening, learning new things in the name of fear of survival mostly, but it's so interesting to connect the dots now, I must say as a design student this is what I have learned myself on how you can connect anything and everything in this world for magical creations but for that, knowing the knowledge within the boundaries/ the necessary parts are mandatory too... Thank you Dr. Siddharth for sharing such amazing content on your channel, it has been life-changing since I got to discover your channel for a very deep perspective towards life holistically, looking forward to learning more from your content.
But sir don't you think without stress we can still give our best on stage? I'm just curious to know about this, as all the professional stage performers won't be that stressed as an normal impromptu person?
This has to be one of the best things on RUclips! Great job Sid! You're giving me a new perspective to life

To reprhase it mathematically, "The amount of time taken to do a work is directly proportional to the amount of time available" !!
