    I've been having this issue as well. My mind was all over the place until I finally realized that wheel hub assemblies are a thing.
    And then a few days later, I find this video. Thanks for confirming that for me.

    You can also test the bearing assembly by putting the car up on jack stands or a lift, and then grab the wheel from left to right and shake it and see if there's movement or not.

    Hey thanks for uploading this! I have the same problem and it shaked a lot on stock suspension. But, same as you, I got coilovers and it shakes less but now that you uploaded this imma buy these to completely remove the shake!

    Yo i have had this issues. The key to fixing it is making sure your spacers are 100% centered. Even a half mm off will cause steering wheel shake. Hub rings are a must too as the wheel needs to be 100% centered as well. Do these things before spending any money. I could've saved bundreds

    How has no one here mentioned that wheel spacers will cause premature bearing wear? That’s just simple physics, the leverage being enacted on the bearing is more because the wheel is further from the hub. There’s also a ton of other things that can cause a vibration that should be checked before just throwing money at hubs. Improperly balanced wheels, a separated tire, a bent rim, loose or uncentered wheel spacers, loose or uncentered wheels, etc. Paying someone qualified to properly diagnose your car before replacing parts can often turn out to be cheaper than just replacing parts until a problem goes away.

      I came to find this comment. Never done wheel hubs but it makes sense that if your wheel is sitting further off the hub it would put more stress on the hub itself.

    • @heroichitsuji
      @heroichitsuji 3 года назад

      Most videos that talk about wheel spacers mention that. And it’s basic physics.

      also that wheel spacers should be torque with a torque ranched and the hub too , i notice the he put everything with out proper torque spec

    I am thinking your wheels are not hub centric those aftermarket wheels have a 73.1 mm hub and your Genesis has a 67.1 mm hub. Did you try hub centric rings? Also, you can put the stock wheels back on and see if it goes away. I bet when you put the wheels back on you centered the wheels a little better than before. Either way glad you were able to eliminate the shake. BTW Great videos

      Wheels are fine. I have hubcentric rings for them and the spacers are hubcentric as well. Was definitely the hub assembly.

Would you be able to do an in depth video on your engine mods for yours? I'm curious as to what kind of turbo I should put into mine. Hope to hear back, stay safe out there brother!

      @@lilcholo2097 But going for the 2.0's turbo might not hurt so long as you aren't squeezing that much power out of it to the point where internal upgrades become necessary.

    Doing mine this weekend since i stripped one of the studs and the car itself has 90k miles with a loose bearing and intolerable vibration. Hoping it solves my issues.
    Any specific torque specs for the 4 bolts on the back of the hub?

    • @_ZeRAuJ
      @_ZeRAuJ 2 года назад

      Replaced the bearings and still had minor vibration. Ended up hydroplaning into a curb one day and had to replace my R/F control arm and it hasn't made any vibration since. I do have positive setback so I'll have to jack it up again and what else is bent but surprisingly enough I found the issue and it wasn't my bearings as I initially thought. Granted I still changed them but it still resulted in minor vibrations. For anyone who has the same issue I'd start off with replacing your control arms. Much easier install vs bearings (depending on what axle you're doing).
