This week, I have 36 hours to paint my Soulblight Gravelords army.
47 models ÷ 36h = ...I'm boned...
"Cursed to walk the mud every eclipse, the only prize their legions can claim are the bones of strangers felled by a rusted blade."

I know I said I'm gonna go back to painting small units for a few episodes, but i'm already craving another army...dammit.💀
The eternal struggle. You think that's bad, I have to shell out for a commission for custom helmets for an entire conversion project... ; _ ;
00:00 we're gonna fight
What, with those dainty vampire hands? :P
@@lovedeathdice fuck
you got me
the average vampire fan vs The Average Skeleton Enjoyer
Funnily enough I was gonna try and make a skeleton version of any Vampires I end up getting
I philosophically disagree that Vampires are boring, but you have succeeded in making skeletons cooler for me by painting an absolutely fantastic army, so we can still be friends.
That’s exactly what I envision when I think of death rattle and grave guard! Thanks for the video I’m definitely going to do this scheme on mine
Man, RUclips neglected to notify me of this video. Im so excited to watch it
I haven't finished my 2k points of black templars yet and seeing this box now I want it, I don't even Sigmar bro 😂
this might just be me, but your army looks like it was underwater for a century and I absolutely love the look of it!
Always love coming back to see your journey as a painter, and really enjoyed this as a another challenge of your abilities!
Dahm, that Black Knights cover with green looks amazing!
This is awesome. Especially those moss and rust effects. Love it! And love the format of the video. ✨
Great edits and I am always surprised at how good your commentary is! 10/10 🙌🏻
Vampires are probably my favourite type of monster followed closely by skelebois and weredogos
I'm just joshin' i love vampires. *me staring at my whole cursed city collection*
@@lovedeathdice to me vampires are just so versatile, as long as the bloodsucking part remains anyone is basically free to write what ever mythos around them. Everyone can with effort of course tell his own unique vampire story. But damn those skeletons turned out amazing.
Well, there are some great tips here. (Stares at the unpainted undead horde taking up precious shelf space). Guess I'm off to spend money on some Dirty Down products.
I will agree, skeletons are the superior form of undead.
As a new player I reallyyy wanted to play a deathrattle only (or mostly) army with Nagash to capitalize on deathrattle type reanimation, ended up playing through a path to glory campaign and after a handful of matches and losing brutally it just did not go well, even with good rolls my lads werent doing enough damage and were taking so much damage from every other unit. Me being a new player didnt help ofc but I could barely wipe out ANY enemy units, and this was with Graveguard with great wight blades and command buffs :/ Ended up redoing my list and getting more vampies lords and blood knights. The vampires are just way too good to not play them at least as a new player in the faction which feels unfortunate :( just need lots of experience and skill to play deathrattle only well. I dont hate the vampires at all (and they do look cool), but I really wanted to play a skelly / nagash based army with all the reanimation / heals.
“Vampires are boring“
Miniac and Ninjon: *heavy breathing*
Think that dry brush over dirty down rust needs just a few tweaks and that could be a really sweet way to speed paint rusty armor. Maybe block in a rusty brown color with like an orange rust where the highlights would be and then try brush over it, letting you use dirty down to cover up your mistakes? Just a thought things to try and get more out of a pretty sweet short cut.
Great video! Cool paint scheme.
honestly the fact that he kept going after his time was up is more impressive than doing it all in 36 hours
within the first 5 seconds you resonated everything I believe in in life, paused, liked and subscribed
This is so fucking sick bro. I love your style. I just painted a really awesome nigthhaunt army over the course of 3 weeks, and I painted the vanguard set alone in like 4 days, so i feel nearly half of your pain. it is exhausting, but so rewarding. I can't tell you enough how much I love your style though. You have inspired me like crazy to get some of these texture mediums.
Fantastic video. A fun narrative take on the step by step process
Great video man. Excellent quality!
Great video and your style is dope!!! What did you use to get the models to stick to the wooden sticks?
Thank you! Just double sided tape
Heyo, here from your AOS post. You clearly put a lot of time and effort into not only the paintjob, but also the video editing. Very nice video. Earned a sub from me.
Damn these look GREAT. And the way you based them seems like it may be exactly what I'm looking for.
I was JUST thinking about this channel, oddly enough, wondering how things were going hahaha so glad you're still posting man, I really get a kick out of the scripts and editing skills shown in your vids (let alone the content)! this time I'll sub so I don't forget the name again haha
Amazing look on the models! What was the texture paint and the rust paint shade thingy you used all over the models and then wiped some away with your finger?? I loved the effect of it!
Great video! You started out by putting rust effects on bare plastic, prior to priming. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that technique before. Does it really show through the priming? I thought it would have covered all the rust effects after you sprayed the primer on.
Nice to see a fellow Macroblank enjoyer!
This is inspiring me to pick up my Deathrattle again. I wanted a very showcase level army so I'm doing all nonmetallic metal for the metal, no metallic paints in sight. Lost energy with them very quickly so I put them down, but now....
Ohhh, you said “horse cloth”, not “horse ….” 😂
Pretty rad video though
Great painting and video :) glad I found your channel
AOS armies are so bad ass!!
Love them!!
You have done well, m'dude. I'm proud of you and what you accomplished here. 👍
Love all you videos I watch them often . Not sure why lol
Awesome quality as always! Keep it up
These models look _siiiiick._ Really pushes the corrosion to unheard of levels. Like you're really looking at a force that has been ravaged by time.
I've been doing Orktober for my October project the last couple years. I definitely think I need to dedicate next Halloween Season to doing a proper undead force.
Do it! I love painting undead because it's so forgiving and allows for so much experimentation. It's defintly one if those forces that benefits from looking crappy and corroded.
u should look into a wet pallet
Absolutely gorgeous production value! You put my camera work to shame lmao. Really love the heavy rusting and green bits together. Now I want a bottle of rust, even if I have no reason to have one 🤣
Also you would've managed to stay under 36 if you didn't play Toss lmao
(This post was made by the Chadly Terran Gang, true and worthy rulers of the Koprulu Sector) 🤭😎
9:36 🤣🤣🤣🤣
definitely gonna use some of these techniques for a traitor guard force, want the tanks to look like they'll give you tetanus.
great video, keep it up!!
Very cool. Consider me subscribed.
Look great! but.. Can't say I agree with skeletons are cooler xD
But there are many dumb portrayals of vampires the last 30+ years or so.
Vampires are suppose to be things of horror!
Eerie, creepy, hunger for your blood and you sometimes at first glance mistake them for humans untill it is too late and realise they are monsters ready to tear you apart.
But skeletons are cool too!
And it all just becomes better when combined!
Vampires leading hordes of the undead
Looks like way too much texture all over for my liking, those big bits of grit are a distracting visual noise. I do like the fresh take color choices though. Also, video production is excellent.
It sounds like you'd rather be playing starcraft and don't really enjoy painting.
If you don't enjoy it then don't force yourself to do it.
You cut alot of corners and quite frankly half assed alot of this army and your excuse of saying they look good enough together goes straight out the window as soon as anyone picks up any single mini and sees how much detail you just glossed over.
The most fun you can get out of painting is looking at a finished army and knowing you've done your best.
