I just LOVE the song birds. I live in a city now but I'd rather have a little place in the country, where I can put seeds all year round. I even love the chirp on the black birds.
At least they lay eggs, which is more than I can say for those idiots on the hill.... LOL

Yes you can ! Flowers do not need as rich a soil, but they don't complain either... LOL
Your next tattoo should be a bumblebee,Tina. I got one of those Greenstalk planters on my front porch, but it’s been so hot and dry here that everything in it as well as the plants on my porch have pretty much died. Guess I should have done a better job at watering them.
LOL... I hate my Greenstalk... But I do like my tattoos... ahahaha
Even tho I plant in containers, I always plant some flowers. I want to feed the bees also. Your flowers are beautiful. Take care and be safe. It seems like my tomatoes are getting blossom end rot again this year. Hope yours do not.
Calcium (crushed oyster shell) and Magnesium (epsom salt)... You can just put the oyster shell in the bottom of your watering can and swish it... I leave it in there... The other plants like it too...

The buckets are from ULine.com but the self watering inserts are from GroTechGarden
I love my flowers as well but this year I did more of growing my own from seeds than buying off of the big box stores. These big price hikes are hitting us wherever we look
I can understand that ! I was thinking of buying a big bag of wildflower seed and just doing all my flower pots with them... I may give it a shot next year !
We have marigolds in two half-barrels in the walk way.

We live in town and have a lot of clover in our yard. Most people spray for it but not us. 🐝🌼
I love the white clover in the yard, and the crimson along the creek... After the fruit trees bloom, it is the next thing the bees come hunting...
