Hi everyone! So what are your goals for 2025? Happy new year and welcome to my complete guide to the single most important thing you can do for Jan! 📣Grab my full PDF Yearly Planning PDF and/or Notion Template here at www.bettercreating.com/planyouryear or my full Life OS templates at www.bettercreating.com/downloads
I found this exceptionally useful Simon, thanks. Watched once to just listen and frame things to get myself in the zone, and a second time sitting down with pen and paper, pausing and working though the steps! 😁 Brilliant stuff.
Fantastic! You just scribed the comment I hoped to see for this video! So pleased it was useful too you. This is the info I think everyone should have access to as it’s been huge for me. All the best for 2025 🤗
Simon, I'm trying to figure out how to make tasks in my Life Areas: Family & Social repeating every day so its not so manual. I tried setting DAILY PRIORITY to "Recurring Today" but that didn't do it. Is there a way to set tasks as repeating daily so it goes to my task inbox every day and also show up on my notion calendar every day? Thanks! I was hoping to see a field in the NEW TASK window for [X] Recurring but no joy.
Top-notch video and system, Simon. I have been using a similar approach for 4 years now - inspired by the PPV system by August Bradley. My year reflection is very similar to yours (reflect on the year ending, with data and insights guided by different questions), and then plan the upcoming year. However, my system is mostly about writing things down - and I miss some of the cool databases you have created to make your reflections come up more easily - such as the "Wheel of live" - I will be trying to integrate some of those ideas as I think this will help big time on surfacing the important things and also then take action when planing the new year. The only thing I would stress a bit more towards the end of the reflection - and this is something I am sure you cover in your broader LifeOS system videos, is the "follow-up" of the prioritized tasks, projects, and habits for the upcoming year. From my experience, this is where most things "fall into the cracks".
Thanks for sharing - love this - sounds like we do things very similarly. Yes - the follow up and building a solid review and inbox clearing strategy is the other key I think; yes I cover this in a few places: my part-time productivity video is probably the best comprehensive overview from me here: ruclips.net/video/kdvOtJxDFzw/видео.htmlsi=SMpOOVADi2L4kdgh
Indeed! These routines and principels are so important. This year, my biggest change on my “LifeOS” is on “systematizing purposeful execution”. Starting from the year goals (recalibration), but then being more explicit on my plan and concrete “goal outcomes” for the upcoming Quarter (or “Twelve Weeks”). I think most people miss this connection, or just work too broadly, which makes the actual execution inefective or simply getting back into the “auto-pilot” of working on the “urgent things” (which are not always important…). I may be writing something about this in the coming weeks… (Keep up with the great channel - and I wish you a fantastic 2025!)
Hey Simon, I love your content and your Life OS...I will be spending the rest of 2024 getting it filled out and ready to roll in 2025. I noticed that there is no Book Tracker in the Life OS even though there are Reading Logs in the Habit Tracker. Do you have a Book Tracker that can be slotted into the Life OS framework, or will I have to learn how to Notion and try to build one myself? Thanks, mate, for all of the hard work!
Thank so much Michael. I tend to use the Clippings section of the Knowledge hub for this - I can add notes to the books I drop in via readwise etc. I recommend creating a book tracker dashboard and then adding a filtered view on the notes and references database filtered by type - book! :) cheers!
Hi there - thanks for downloading - you'll find the template link within the PDF attached to your order - click the view order and download the files. Any more issues - please email notion@bettercreating.com :)
@ We aren't having other issues on this - so please email notion@bettercreating.com with your order details and we can get this sorted for you ASAP. :) thanks! Simon
Thanks for the sub! I think this stuff should be free to everyone! It’s essential. :) The template sales keep me employed anyways 👍 Thanks for watching and please spread the word! :)
@@BetterCreating Hi Simon! Thanks for another great video! I have the simplified Life OS, so I suppose this one is an updated version, or a different one? It looks slightly different with setting milestones as tasks.
@@claudiavelhas770 Yes - this is the 2024 Complete Notion Life OS. I'll be updating the Simplified Notion Life OS later this year with the same tweak I expect. :)
There seem to be so many good ideas, philosophies, practices, but the leaping around tech has me lost. I can't tell if it's an app advert or a useful life-guide, having watched it all through.
You can easily do this on pen and paper - I just had a lot of requests for a guide to doing this in my template from users - so I hope it works on both counts. :)
yo simon, idk if you know this about your website but it's driving me crazy and preventing me from wanting to buy your stuff. Every freakin time I click on the little pop that says "learn more" the next page pops the same pop up and then again. Like bruh. Once is enough. If I'm already on the learn more page, I don't need to see it again. If it helps, I use Microsoft edge. But it also happens on my iphone 14 pro max safari. Nothing iphone users love more than neverending pop ups. Happy new year, ur lucky ur a hot piece of ass and I'm still drunk from new years! thanks for the cool buttons on my phone!
Thanks for the note - clearly something has broken - we will check it out - is this a pop-up you are getting or happening on a specific button on a page please? either way - we will soon be turning on a new site we have been developing so all good :)
Happy New Year to you Simon! Thanks for this and all the videos in this year. I have learned so much and I love to reflect the past year and plan for 2025!
Need help with this one: "Write your own Prompt: Give someone a fishing rod right…? 😜 Try thinking about an area, like change making, experiences, how people relate to you; write a prompt for yourself and answer it!" Can you please expound on what this means?
I'm suggesting essentially that you give yourself areas of life or focus to narrow down what you focus on for creating prompts - and from there - try using the examples I've written as inspiration to invent your own reflections.

Hello, just found your channel, this is exactly what I was looking for but I've never really got into notion but will give it another go 😊
Welcome aboard! You don’t have to do this in Notion if you don’t want to - just use the PDF :)
