Someone needs to ask Sides tough questions. She never uses her timeouts effectively. Very slow to make adjustments. No zone defense plans.

They just played horrible, I haven't seen them shoot that bad for a couple months.

Both Lexi (3 pointers) & Aliyah (mid-range) were not taking open shots... out of low-confidrnce, fear, or what? Playoff games can be overwhelming, I'm sure. You girls got this, just believe it!
AB getting called for a foul when she wasnt even near the ball set the tone, then fingers to the eye (with fingernail extensions), the score bench messing up the clock was a momentum killer 3 times, always in Indianas hands. Its hard to beat the other team AND the officials.. well done girls!! Come back and kick some ass!!

I agree totally, the intentional attempt to blind Clark to start the game with a no call told me the refs decided the game before the tip off.
Fingernail extensions should be banned during basketball games. They could take out a persons eye or scratch a cornea and end a persons game, if not career.
Hopefully this is a learning opportunity for the players and, as they said, they come back Wednesday with a win!

Lexie Hull was the only one that played aggressive. No one played as a team. Looked like the Fever from the start of the season.

I love Kelsey's perspective, that's an encouraging sign of the senior leadership in the locker room. CT took the Fever to the woodshed today. That being said, I think the Fever will bounce back in game 2 and bring a game back home.

Go Google when Jewel Lloyd got punched in eye and played through and made no excuses as well and they won the game. CC knows that. She named all the things about fouls, clock shot but knows you got to still play hard. Mitchell spoke truth.

You're confusing athletes with this new generation of fans. This new generation of fans are the ones that make excuses and cry and complain and rage all day. Caitlin has never showed any of the same characteristics of her "new" fans.

Was a blast watching the game. Dude announced her shooting percentage after every single shot. Who does that? Was almost as worse as listening to Joe Buck!

The shooters seemed reluctant to fire from the 3-point range. Even though the % was problematic I woul have preferred them to keep taking the shots. This is what Maybrey did and she won the Sun the game. Sun defence was very good.
Why was Carrington allowed to play with 3 inch fingernails? How do we know it wasn't intentional? She has targeted Caitlin since beginning of the year. Should be an absolute WNBA rule to trim your fingernails

UConn has some awful shooter help off of them don’t let the other get off!!! Thomas foul her she is an awful free throw shooter have a game plan… marberry make her run around she an awful defender!!!
CC was like watching RUclips on 0.75X playback speed. She definitely seemed off, and not just because of her poor shooting percentage.
So amazing that even if the Fever lost, they have 4x more views on this interview than the interview of the winning team.
The Fever is a young team. Talent up the ying yang but inexperienced as a team. They are a big defensive player away from going deep into the playoffs. That said I believe that they can come back.
Flush this game and get ready for Wednesday. This was a winnable game until the 4th even with both CC and KM being cold AF 🥶

I can't believe she put Samuelson in when Hull picked up her third foul. Coach had so many other options. At 6'4", Samuelson doesn't rebound, defend, or look to shoot the ball. It's four on five when she gets in!

I think Smith is an even more inconsistent fit, but that’s debatable. The Fever need more defense in the offseason.

It was a tough game for the team. Very physical, plus weird issues with the shot clock.
I give you all grace, and I still have confidence in the team. Looking forward to you all learning what you can from studying video, getting some rest, and winning Wednesday so you can play a third game in Indy.

The Sun's defense was tough but it didn't appear any tougher than The Storm when you beat them earlier this season. Be patient, good luck Ladies!

I think that Caitlin's vision was impaired after the shot to the eye. Caitlin, ever the competitor, soldiered on, even though her vision was shot. I could hear the sniffling in this interview. She needs to see a doctor before the bell rings for the next bout. With the claws that Carrington and some others sport, it's amazing CC's eye wasn't lacerated.
Stop the excuses. Fever did the same thing earlier in the season to Jewell Loyd. Poked her in the eye, and she came back in the game with a swolen, red eye and put up nothing but buckets to win the game.

@Hat5858 If you aren't outraged when your players poke and hit people, don't be outraged now. If Caitlin couldn't play, then she shouldn't have been on the court. As long as she's on that court, there's no excuses. I see none of you mentioned how Clark knocked Dijonai's contact out of her eye.

I am happy the Fever got this far let alone the regular season. They should be proud of their efforts and it's not over yet...they have heart and determination. GO FEVER.

Its crazy how they still was in that game considering how our back-court played. Theres still hope. Indiana should lose to the Suns... but its actually impressive how much they're fighting.
Refs were horrible, Sides is not a moral builder nor a post season thinker, you gals did get it together for next time y’all are awesome, y’all have the most exciting chemistry in the league and can go all the way don’t let this loss get ya down, raise hell about those damn artificial nails they aught to be illegal.

KK was brutal. She showed she has a long way to go to be elite. I just hate that she cries about everything. She needs to grow up

Mitchell is only good and contributes when she plays "Iowa" ball, not when she plays "Sides" ball.
Wrong again...Mitchell has to stay aggressive and get to the rim and draw some fouls.Catlyn Clark need to stop being a one trick pony...unlike Mitchell who adjusted and started getting to the rim, Caitlin shot them out of this game refusing to stop shooting them low percentage threes
If they expect to win this next game Aliyah Boston has to be more aggressive. Kelsey and Caitlin can't beat this team by themselves.

Fever was not just delivering. A lot of shots were not going in. And CC was affected by her eye issue caused by Carrington, I’m pretty sure!
It's intentional. They really are rough team, using a vicious tactics. And the coach is really for the other team, building her image for a future position in the 🎉W League.

Caitlin’s sick. She’s got a sinus cold. Could have thrown her off. Seen her getting on the bus with cold capsules.
The Fever needs to develop their defense game. When the big shooters shots are not going in they do not have much of a half court game, but they are young and had to face a team with a lot of players that have play off experience. They also needed to go to AB more when they realized that they were not making shots. A lot depends on the coach making game changes when the usual game is not working.
Why do they interview Caitlin after she has a bad game? She doesn't want to answer questions after an eye poke and bad performance.

They interview two players who had the most points. Nothing personal with clark. Yall love it when she’s interviewed straight after win so why complain?
CC was still responsible for 40% of the fevers' points by scoring and assist.
She’s a PROFESSIONAL baller. Professional level people often have to give account for a poor performance. Most professional ONLY get a meeting when something goes wrong. Nobody interviews a nurse when all the nursing home residents make it to bed safely, but if someone falls, you better believe the nurse has to give the play by play on what went wrong. And the nurse has to put it in writing in addition to talking to people.

Where are the ref interviews they should explain a lot of these calls and no calls I would have been ejected if I was the coach.
2days effort just simply wasn’t good enough. No aggression by any other than Kelsey and Hull. Everybody’s gotta want it and do what you did to get here. There’s no sense in complaining about fouls because nobody’s giving us anything, we gotta take it!

they really need to work on their D. ngl im a fan of Mabrey too and I was happy she left the Sky and was able to have an impact.
This team is too young, they rely on transition ball and a veteran team is not gonna allow the Fever to run up and down the court which eliminates Clarks assists. Defensive veteran teams are gonna take away what you do best and give no easy buckets. Clarkettes ate delusional thinking she would come in abd dominate the league when other stars to take 2-3 yrs to do so. Next year hopefully this wont be a sweep
both teams shot about the same percentage all around but suns shot 13 more shots in general and 6 more FT and that was the true difference in final score. that is probably the suns having a stronger defense....it is what it is.
If your offense if your best defense, you got to make every shot count.
Can't keep having these " I got good shots but they didn't fall down" and go 4-17/2-13 3pt types of games when it matters . If the shot isn't falling , need to be able to find other ways to score . And what was going on with Smith ? Did Dijonai tell her not to play well or she wasn't getting any tonight ?
Also, this defense that is basically hope the other team doesn't make their 3's is not getting it done against a team that is shooting well.

I thought they should have pulled Caitlin soon after the attack to her eyes, because the attack got into Caitlin's head and affected her play. Put Victaria Saxton in because she is black, so the thugs in the WNBA won't go after her as strongly as they do a white girl.
This end of the world mentality is draining there are going to be bad games in the playoffs. You expect too much from a young team in their very first playoffs series. They have to look at the film and players need to be held accountable for their part in the loss.

As much as I like Kelsey Mitchell. I would trade her in a heartbeat for a 3D wing who is 6'2 and can guard multiple positions. I think caitlin needs a defensive oriented squad around her. Not an offensive type of squad to succeed in the playoffs.

It is about the officiating...today it was, thats not to say the Suns dont have a great team and that they couldnt win without the game being rigged....they could. But it is impossible to overcome refereeing this corrupt. It was embarrassing and totally unfair....the WNBA is a joke to allow this. 1st figging play, coach sides had to use a coaches challenge because the refs called a foul on a play 5 ft away from the play. Next play Carrington purposely scratches CCs eye( the ball was gone). It just got worse from there.

Knowing Carrington her eye scratch foul to CC, her nails probably had some type of irritant on them so it would cause CC to have a runny nose. There should be no long nails in BB game.
Mitchell did great. Caitlin n the rest needed to adjust by charging the basket more n maybe foul some of those tall girls out
