Super small correction on the early graphics 🙂 the EF-S 24 is not compatible "10D-80D"; the 10D doesn't accept EF-S lenses, they started to be accepted only since 20D ;-)
so if you are picky, don't buy any of these and save up for 1 better lens. I am looking at the sigma 17-50, but I like the simplicity of prime so I will go with these. I will use the 24 and 40 for travel lenses and the 50 for portrait and general purpose.

hi, could you please help me for guiding that a 24mm and f/2.8 is good for wide and night sky photography? as i already have a kit lens (15-45mm stm) of canon m50 please guide.
Excellent analysis of these lenses. I have the 24mm and have been debating whether to get the 40mm or the 50mm, and you answered my question. The 50mm 1.8. Can you recommend a "dedicated macro lens" that isn't too expensive for a crop sensor Canon like the T3i ?
60mm or 100mm, can't go wronf with either. Pick 100 if you plan to shoot bugs, spiders etc as it has longer working distance (less chance to scare them of).
@@Camerahoarders I found a good deal on a Tokina Macro 100 F 2.8 D ATX Pro on CL today, so I bought it. Took a bunch of pics of tiny flowers and bees this afternoon to see what it could do; not bad! Nice bokeh.
