@@benthepen3336 I agree with you. When I wrote the comment I was only starting to learn about counterpoint and compositional techniques. I even mistakenly called it a fugato even though it's a stretto. The fugue in the last movement is charming.
@@marshan1226 I'll have to disagree. I find Beethoven's music most enjoyable. But in the end, it's a matter of tastes. Also, there's really not all that much counterpoint in Chopin.
@@marshan1226 Sorry but how exactly was Chopin better at counterpoint, ok Beethoven may not reach the counterpuntal heights of Bach or even Mozart (whose counterpoint is second to only Bach) but it's still great and definitely miles ahead of Chopin, listen to Chopin's A minor fugue, and yes sometimes the accompaniment in Chopin can be interpreted as counterpoint but it's still nowhere near as skillful as what Beethoven has on display here
@@IAmDylanPowers I just listened to Mozart and it's a mess. I hear the undeniable genius, but it's overly complicated and never settles. Beethoven smooths it out somehow.
@@iamtheralwus 🤷🏼 Beethoven himself is said to have loved this concerto and go have said that he would never be capable of writing anything as good as Mozart's C minor concerto.
Absolutely perfect! I coul not be happier for this download, and it has an impressive quality too! I hope you are about to fill the gap between 3. ad 5. concerto soon. G major concerto is a real gem of music :)
Could you please do the Beethoven violin concerto in d major, Op 61 by Izhark Perlman, Daniel Barenboim and Berliner Philharmonic ??? This is the best version I've ever heard!
Five years later but yeah these are real recordings by real orchestras and real concert pianists. It's really impressive to be able to just input all of these notes to match up honestly
PianoCzarX Liszt can be a bit too showy for me at times, but Mephisto Waltz 1 is how I made most of my friends and my current girlfriend, so I have to give the man some credit XD
This is very unlike his fifth symphony. In this concerto, the best I can hear the drums is barely. In the fifth symphony though, even when the drums are at their quietest,I can still clearly hear them.
12:25 cadenza
Beautiful. One of Beethoven’s best pieces of music.
Nice pfp
Beethoven says HEHEHEHAW
4:13 Schubert's Impromptu No. 4!
I think that Schubert got the inspiration of this, cheers
Well, how would Beethoven first composed this piano concerto, and then only came out to the impromptu 4 Schubert.
3:20 solo entry
To hell with your zodiac sign, which is your favorite movement on Beethoven's 3rd piano concerto?
all of em lesgooooo
The first
The Largo
The rondo
Allegro con brio
second movement is absolutely beautiful
Concordo
Indeed
That fugato at 3:05 is really an impeccable compositional feat.
What about 30:30 ? I love the part you're talking about but the one in the last movement is just incredible

Džin for some reason I find Beethoven boring. Chopin is more interesting and creative. He was better at counterpoint and harmonies

Beethoven composing little bit like Mozart 6:00
But left hand sound like Beethoven 😉
Beethoven imitated Mozart in many of his works. It's commonly understood. Mozart was a template he really improved upon.
It is said that Mozart's 24th piano concerto in C Minor was admired by Beethoven and that he based it on his third piano concerto also in C Minor.

This is one of the most useful tools for studying orchestration, because it is easier to see where everything is ! Thanks much !
true but a lot of times when the notes overlap it becomes difficult to follow
the best piano concerto all time
