The seconds movement is the perfect thing to listen to when you’ve had a shit day and just want to forget everything. Put some headphones in, lie down and close your eyes and just do nothing, except listen...
So wholeheartedly do I agree with that statement!!!! I might add that the end of your first piano concerto packs a similar kind of punch (not that the whole of it is not fun, but it's that the end packs a particular beethovenian punch to it).
I don't know what it is, maybe all the pretty colors flitting about along with the music, but while I've never been especially fond of this particular Beethoven work, seeing and hearing it here makes me better appreciate its beauty, both simple and complex, so thank you for the upload.
Oh God, you actually did it, you put this magnificent piece into synthesia ! Very nice and intresting, didn't think anyone would do it in a decent way.
They're both untouchable, @@SereneJudo, and there's no evidence to suggest that Mozart would "poke fun" at Beethoven. According to the one account of a meeting between them, Mozart was impressed by Beethoven's playing and said that he would go far. But Beethoven was still young and became much more developed in the coming decades. Mozart would likely have been astounded by what Beethoven did later. Anyway, it makes no sense to pit them against each other.
Do your research, mate, @@khenrichplayzaltaccount6756. Beethoven adored and admired Mozart. He published variations on Mozart's themes. He studied Mozart's music. He composed what is now the standard cadenza for the first movement of Mozart's 20th piano concerto.
It takes a lot of practice if you want to become a composer. Take Beethoven for example, people keep telling him that he can't be a successful composer because he was deaf. *BUT DID HE LISTEN?*
I was thrilled to find out what this tune was from as I heard it at the end of the biographical film, 'Immortal Beloved'. The tune is surprisingly informal (the only word that comes to mind), and the droning E and B flat just heralds victory to me. Just great.
