Never read the books but loving the show. Have to admit though, Moiraine and Lan are the best parts of it. I sometimes get really bored watching the four Two River Folks. Can't we just have an episode dedicated to Moiraine and Lan- maybe flashbacks of their time together?
Yeeee I'd love a whole spin off about Moiraine and her warder really.
@@MariaPurtMe There's a prequel book focusing on these two about 20 years before the main series. I'm super hoping we get some of that content in flashbacks

I love how they explaine that bond, it's more than children and their parents, more than husbands and wives. So cool.

Yeee, I just love their very established, very domestic practical relationship. They are both so reserved and yet they care for each other, with no 'cheap' passion. Like people who's been married for 50 years hehe.
They're not actually together, they both end up marrying different characters (already introduced btw)

I read the first two books and have had some of the other books spoiled to me and I still ship these two the most 😭 idc what anyone says, they're my otp, whether their relationship is queerplatonic or romantic I love them so much

Wow. These two have a lot of chemistry and their story is well developed. I wouldn't mind if they stayed together.
I actually liked the series because of the two of them. so i'll only watch it until moreine dies then it'll be an epic series. it is a book but it doesn't have to be all based on the book. If they only changed their stories and left them until the end, it would be excellent. I love that couple with nineave. They don't have chemistry. It's boring. I do not accept that he stays with her. I want moiraine and lan for a while, they both save the series

But yeah, that's kinda it. It's literally stated during the show, that their bond is stronger and goes beyond anything people can find in their lives (family, marriage, etc). It's just too beautiful.

Huge fan of the books, and a huge fan of the show so far as well. The way they’re portraying/exploring the Warder bond is absolutely fantastic. Nowhere on TV or in movies have I seen non-sexual, non-familial love on display so beautifully and deeply. They’re even showing it more in the show than you see it in the books. It makes me so, so happy, and this vid brought a year to my eye. 💚 I’ll definitely keep looking out for more. 😁

There is one scene in episode 5 where Lan says, "when you have an obligation to another Aes Sedai ..." but the answer is quickly given by "when you lose Moiraine then tell me how to commit to another woman", however I think Lan will easily commit to another Aes Sedai, when Moiraine dies, the healer, Nynaeve loves him, he showed that in the cave, so Lan will be her protector when Moiraine dies ... at least I think so, I haven't read books, but somehow episode 5 leads me to it ... if anyone has read, can they write to me, am I right

I only just finished season 1 and really love the bond between these two. I do feel that Lan is wrong though about the bond between a warder and Aes Sedai being stronger than a marriage. By the end of the season he is in love with Nyneave and feels jealously of the thought of her taking a Warder once her training is complete. I see him placing Nyneave above Moiraine in the future.
I saw a review of WOT which said that they thought the Moiraine/Lan parts were weird and irrelevant, and I could not disagree more. I think it is a very interesting (and because it is non-sexual) novel plot line that creates dimension in the story. What is it to love in this way, what is it to be on a mission together, what is it to have intertwined lives……..?
Tbh to me the relationship between Lan and Moiraine is the most interesting on this show. We have too many romantics ones and then friendships... this here, this is smth really fresh and interesting to explore, I'm glad they devoted so much time to it.
