Thank you so much for sharing. Although I have been at Etsy over 10 years selling a physical product since the pandemic i have learned adobe illustrator and am now ready to open a digital shop. Your videos have been extremely informative and simply love your tone of voice and pleasant expressions. I do view them many times until I get what you are saying since this is a whole new world for me🌺
Hi Timothy! Cheers from Romania! I am following you since a year ago since I saw your shop too. I must say I'm sorry didn't watched more than 3-4 videos of yours but starting today, among the ladies here on youtube that offer advice for Etsy, I can feel and see you are and sound credible and not trying to impress rather than present facts as they are. Stay the same pls!! I also opened 1-2 shops ( with my own original creations) and can't wait for the third one. In fact I was afraid 5 would be the number but was afraid this would be a bit too much hehe. Thanks for sharing !!! You are a true inspiration!! 😊👏🙏
Hi Brandon. Thanks for sharing your journey. I came across with a question. I got your point that you've presented in this video 3 revenue streams, namely, digital products, physical products and print on demand. My question is, why did you create 3 different shops? Can't you have just 1 shop, and, create the revenue streams inside that shop? Because, you already got an audience created from you first shop.
Thank you for sharing this! Your videos are so transparent and encouraging! Is there a reason or method for why you separate each of the shops instead of combining the digital ones? I have a digital Etsy shop selling planner pages and Canva invitations. I know they’re two different categories but I struggle to separate them because it took so long to establish that first shop. Any method to why/how you start from fresh on your shops?
Thank you, Brandon. I have learned lots from you this week. I enjoy your videos, how straight forward and informative you are, and transparent! You do a great job of explaining things. Keep it up! I, for one, am the better for it. Hope to open Etsy shop this week.....digital products (wall art) to start.
Brandon, this is such a cool video! Thank you for sharing stats for shops with negative revenue and why are you keeping them, that was super-super meaningful.
Hey Brandon, thanks for video, especially the transparency. Could you do a video on how to prices accordingly based on fees. I feel I always have a few to pay, even when I haven't had a sale.....awkward
Do you recommend making a shop specialized, focusing on a specific audience (for example, just teachers)? Or a generalized store, with a variety of listings that target teachers, nurses, moms, real estate agents, etc.? Thanks for your videos! Very helpful
Hi Brandon, many thanks for this great video. Can I ask you what option do you select in Creative Fabrica: Commercial use or Extended Commercial use? Thank you!
Yes, you can definitely make sales without running ads, but I would find a way to make Etsy ads work for your products. There’s a few different strategies which I’ll talk about in the coming videos
I think the most important thing with a new Etsy shop is to get the most positive feedback as you can that's my strategy I'm getting only $2 profit with free shipping for physical items but I will raise the prices and charge for shipping after I built a strong store with a lot of feedbacks I'm not a fan of Etsy ads is quite a waste of money I already try it it's not worth it
Great video Brandon! Super informative as always! I have a quick question that I cannot seem to find an answer to. My partner and I have a digital art shop that folks can simply download our artwork. We are looking into expanding and offering POD prints. Our issue is that you cannot have POD (integration) and digital downloads in the same listing. We are looking at starting a second shop, that offers the same artwork but printed via our POD partner (Gelato). We have gotten advice from people that 1. Opening a second shop with the same products but POD instead of digital download is fine and no problem with ETSY. 2. Opening a second shop with the same products but POD instead of digital download is a serious issue with ETSY and will result in the shop being shut down. Any chance you know if this is allowed? Any clarification is greatly appreciated. Thanks for considering to respond. Looking forward to your future videos.
I’m new to Etsy, no sales yet. I’ve read where you should get friends and family to make purchases, and get reviews to get the ball rolling. Is this necessary?
Heyy so my Etsy account I have it deposited for monthly and I was wondering for my sales that say delivered on them will I still get paid even know it passed the “in transit “ phase
Hi Brandon! Very impressive results, may I ask how much time you need to spend on customer service? Do people have questions/issues with Canva templates, or the digital files you offer?
Hi brandon. I see you spend a lot on adds. So my question is do you make a clean profit from this stores? How much profit do you think 1 store can make? I mean a profit that you can cash on
Hi, Brandon! Glad to find out you are doing canva templatess. Quick question. Do you really have to have a pro account in order to sell canva template? I tried to make a sample template and was able to generate the link template that can be shared to a customer using a free account. Can you clarify this please? I want to start selling templates but not sure if I can using a free account. Thank you as always!
Yes you can share with the free account, but whenever a customer edits the template, it will also change your original file, which is no good. Hope that helps!
@@brandontimothy The weird thing is that it automatically creates a copy of my template just like the pro account so the customer can't edit the orginal. So I'm not sure😕.
All you have to do is include your custom affiliate link (provided by the affiliate company) and place it either in your end product, post purchase or description on etsy :)
I feel like i've tried everything and it doesn't even come near profit (or even sales), I''m even making losses now due to the ads. I've tried 4 digital shops and 2 physical ones over the past 4 years, and I dont know, maybe it just wasn't mean for me.
@@automaticactor One was jewelry and the current one is a mix of home goods like wall art and mugs etc, but with one consistent style of design. Tbf the jewelry one did start selling but was very time consuming because it was all handmade and I could not scale it + the shipping costs increased crazy during covid and it was eating the little profit that I made, but the rest has been a lot of failures
Thanks for mentioning it. I’m new to Etsy and not expecting to make profit until 6 months - 1 year. It’s tough to get your product out there with organic traffic.
Yes definitely! Another example is to sell affiliate courses related to your Etsy product. Example - if you sell social media templates, you affiliate course could be about “how to market yourself on social media” since it’s relevant to your end product
@@brandontimothy thanks for the reply.. I’m desperate to get more sales.. I just keep plucking away with my POD store. Hoping my new digital store does a bit better
@@brandontimothy and you are sure this won’t violate Etsy policies? Can you tell me the wording you use in your after purchase message? Thanks. I just signed up for the referral program and was accepted.

You can start with teachers first, then slowly expand once you’ve saturated each profession.

do u spend any money on ads outside of etsy ads? such as facebook and google ads?
nope, I only relay on etsy ads and organic reach.
How long have you had the shop 3 open for before showing stats?

Hi, Brandon.
Great video, I wanna ask you: do you open all your shops from the same browser?
Do you have a separate etsy account for each way?
yes I have a separate email address and account for each shop.

Do you have to register your company when you open a shop on Etsy?

Question - what does it mean when an Etsy shop says Digital file type(s): 1 RTF? Why not Zip? Thanks
RTF are text files. It’s just a simple way to include a link. Whereas in zip files, you can’t upload anything above 20mb
@@brandontimothy Thank you!
