Great video. This is great that EPLAN can do this but I don't see this as a practical solution using so many block properties. Maybe EPLAN could create a "calculations navigator" which might be a copy of the device navigator where the users simply selects =GD1+A1-F2 and then selects all other devices for which the user wants to associate for making a calculation? Then maybe the display property for the calculation could be linked via a part reference property to =GD1+A1-F2? I am not an eplan developer but I hope this is a beginning to something more useful, using all these block properties for something complicated like a main breaker is not going to be practical.
Thank you for this valuable information, I m wondering is it related to version because in my eplan (p8 2.9 SP1) calculation doesnt appear under available format element section. Do you Mr. know how to add this function?
That would be useful only if it was recursive on a potential for example. That would allow to calculate power for each phase through a distribution panel. This way it is not feasible to take into account a distribution terminal strip for example. Just need to get better. Surely some block property could be used for simple recusive math that can calculate attributes to show based on alteady available data without having to input it manually each time.
@@elitee92 i usually create a separated temporary report to sum custom properties like absorbed current, voltage and cosphi divided by attributes i set manually to each component. Then i get total data by potential or devices types and insert them manually on templates sheet. Such a waste of time for a basic functions for electrical engineering. Also we don't make machines but automation systems for processes on plants so we never have 2 equal panels. Adding those type of calculations would speed up our workflow a lot. Let's hope in future developments.
HEI, COULD PLEASE CHANGE YOUR EPLAN BECKROUND TO DARK COLOR , WHIT THIS WITH COLOR IT DOES NOT CLEAR WHEN YOU ARE WOEKING . AND COULD PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO HOW TO IMPORT EXCEL FILE TO EPLAN I TRIED MANY TIME, THANKS FOR YOUR NICE TEACHING
Thank You Sir 🙏
You're welcome 😊

Yes, it's a new function in Version 2024
Thank you 🙂@@eplaninanutshell
Genial¡¡
What happens if you change the schematics? Lets say you delete EC3. Will it still work? Or will you have to change to block propertiy formats?
That's the big disadvantage of this solution. It depends what you change in the drawings but most probably you need to adjust it

Yes 100% would be nice to get a function to add automatically all devices on a potential
This function seems so slow to implement. By the time to import the function for calculation will be done manually so many times.

❤❤ Could I application this way for Eplan 2023?
No, you need 2024
