Hello! How could I define connection in EPLAN as busbar connection without connection definition point? I can define connection via logic of devices' connection points or connection definition point. I couldn't define connection as busbar connection via logic of devices' connections and I can't use connection definition point because I need place and define connections by automatic numbering of connections.

I made a macro for a PLC. There was a block with a code for ordering, which I described what each letter of the code means. I did this in version 2.9. However, when I tried to transfer the macro to version 2024, the text does not match, it seems that the spacing between the letters in a row has changed. The scale and font are the same in both versions. How can I configure it so that it is the same in different versions? I also have the same problem in the framework.

If there is more cores in a cable that I don't need to use, I usually represent cable as bundle and spare cores I show as "wire termination, insulated" (NCI symbol). BTW, I'm self thought user of EPLAN, so maybe this is completely wrong method, but I do it that way.

in eplan can we create one master project file and from that master file we need to derive other many projects.... and that project files we need to link to master file.... if we change in master file it should change in linked project file also.. is there any solutions like that

I would like to use command line parameter: PathsScheme:MyConfigDirectories while starting EPLAN to load my user directories upon startup. Where shoud I place the directories schems during export. Should it be placed here? "C:\Program Files\EPLAN\Electric P8\2025.0.3\Bin" I have tried, but not succeded. Can you please make a video to show the way?

Hello Kai, my cables arent attaching to components automatically. Is this a setting I need to turn on? They just cut through components and I want to avoid spending unecesary time adding each cable manually

Hello Kai. If you miss a topic for a video I could recommend the following. If you run a test for use of a structure in the structure identifier you sometimes find a structure which is not been used any more but test indicates it is used maybe 2 times in the project. I know sometimes it disappears if you compress project, but sometimes it is hidden in a navigator. So a video to find this structure will be appriciated.

Hi Kai, been watching for sometime. This seems to be Macros, but project specific and interacting with multiple pages / models all at the same time. Is there something like this for Eplan Electric P8 2025 without pro panel? We don't have this available to use with our current configuration unless I'm missing something.

Hello Kai, Thank you very much for your extensive tutorials on EPLAN, which I have started following. I am using EPLAN 2025 Education version, since I had trouble trying to open sample projects with the 2024 version. I am experiencing a lot of difficulty in following your tutorials, due to the fact that EPLAN has decided to implement, what I consider to be this ridiculous new Ribbon Interface, instead of the much more natural and sensible menu-based GUI. In order to follow your tutorials, I am in fact having to run it on a separate (Linux) laptop, with a separate additional monitor (using my right hand) and EPLAN on a Winedoz laptop (using my left hand.) Owing to this, I find that I have to continuously stop/start your tutorial so that I can find where on earth the corresponding menu items have been hidden one of these ridiculous ribbons. Apart from this, EPLAN has also decided to rename some of the menu items, making it extremely time-consuming and frustration to make any progress. Example: OLD: Utilities menu NEW: Tools Ribbon Example: OLD: Project data -> Terminals NEW: Devices Ribbon -> Terminals Example: All of the project settings and preferences have been completely shuffled around Further to this, I believe that a large percentage of computer users make use of the hot-keys which are typically identified under respective menu items. Regardless of which operating system I use, when I am learning a new application, I try to learn some of the frequently-used hot-keys, which significantly speeds up my progress. I tried to find a way to change the User Interface back to the original menu-based interface, however, see that EPLAN has removed this option from the Select Workspace setting menu. I cannot understand what the EPLAN designers are trying to achieve be making much more difficult for people to learn. If, in their wisdom regarding modern GUI development they have decided that the ribbon approach is more user-friendly, they should maybe consider that this should be user-selectable, rather than forcing the will of the mighty MicroSoft geniuses onto the world. Is it really so complicated and difficult to make the old menu-based interface available? I want to make it clear that this is not in criticism of your tutorials, and I also consider that you may possibly now be faced with the decision of whether or not to rework your entire set of tutorials to comply with the the wisdom of the gods of GUI. I have no choice to persevere, and really appreciate your tutorials. Thank you.

Hello Kai! Thanks for the video. It could be possible to do the same thing for the analog I/O or safe I/O? For DI or DO I see it's possible because there are only one type of plc connection point: DI or DO. For differents PLC manufacturer (Siemens, Omron or Allen Bradley), DI or DO are OK. But for analogs I/O or safe I/O there are more types of PLC connection point for each chanel (PLC+, PLC-, PLC PE, etc...). Moreover, each manufacturer are different PLC point connection for this type of I/O. It could be possible to do this for the Analog I/O and Safe I/O?
