Filmes de este tipo han sido para mi toda una colección de grandes joyas en la extensión de la palabra. Simplemente geniales de principio a fin. Saludos y bendiciones a todos los cinéfilos de corazón desde Venezuela.
Are you kidding! He sticks out like a big white boy that he is😂Burr always played a good ruthless scoundrel in his early years before Perry Mason but this role was so badly cast as an Afgan muslim. Usually he was just a white boy criminal.
Not that far apart in time, the British stood in long proud lines and got shot at. While I tend to agree with you, it isn't a long stretch to imagine the same training being implemented of stand and show no fear and follow orders.
Named India, but it's what is now Pakistan, which is now almost 100% Muslim... And by then the British had already had to withdraw from Afghanistan and trouble was beginning to brew again in India after the war of 1857-58...
Russian heavy calibre rifles??? The rifles used were the Lee-Enfield .303 and was invented after 1901, and this is supposedly in 1890!! Another usamerican BS story..

God bless whosoever has uploaded this movie
Fortunately, so much of southern California can pass for the wilds of Pakistan. Really.
Maximum rate of fire number is almost useless. Sustained rate of fire number is the important one.
Except the Browning machine gun came later. First the Maxim, then the Colt, then the Browning.
Amazing not one horse was injured by the machine gun!
@@robertbutler8004 Just goes to show what a rubbish shot Egan is.
Also starring Raymond Burr, see if you can spot him.

The disappearing lances at 15:54. Did they get too heavy ?
The people who made this movie were clearly never shot at, you just don't SIT there !
It was made in 1954. Quite a few of them would have been shot at. Including the star, who served in the US Army from 1943-46.
@@Tourist1967 I doubt it!
@@HenriHattar Why would you doubt that? Nine years after a world war with mass conscription?

From Empires to religion, Afghanistan copped shit over the years, poor people.
No horses were harmed in the last scene upon being fired on by a machine gun.

Nicely sanitised Hollywood version with not one drop of tomato ketchup spilled.

A corny film made reasonable by some good acting.
A relief to see a good movie without all the "requisite" bloody gore.
A Hindi movie could make this story much more entertaining 😊. They had great actors and musicians at that time.
Khyber Pass - India's back door 😂😂😂 (rhyming slang)

Yes, then our India, our Afghanistan, our Trasvaal, our Zululand and now their London, their Liverpool, their everything...
