I agree with the older sleds being easy to work ion, I work on two older skandics for a ski resort and they run awesome. The two newer skandics are a pain to work on
I started to put sea foam in the gas for my garden tractor so it now starts every time. Took the varnish out of the line and engine from not running it for any length of time.
Cooper, those primary’s are a common problem! Either replace it with the new updated adapt clutch, or a cvt tech powerbloc 80 clutch, adapt clutch for 0-3000ft needs 70g weights, mountains is 67g weights, secondardy helix is like a 44 or 46 degree helix for 0-3000ft with that team secondary I believe, , definitely look at getting qs3 shocks!, and if you ever take out that motor get a 22+ motor, they changed the injection ports on the injectors, and put some vents on clutch panel help with clutch life, I’m on cat #6 right now and love my 22 alpha hair core 146

Dad bought a John Deer 500 in the 70,s. Artic Cat had slide vs boggie suspensen and fast. Only way to keep up was catch up in the woods and short cuts from one remote tavern after another. Nothing like being under age buying a pizza and coke underage and welcomed by our small town community that knew all of us HS athletes. Fun times.

Here a tipp for you kids, When working on old sleds a 500ml water bottle half full of gas with a screw drive hole poked through the lid will start and prime a sled first pull every time....Dam rookies
Have gas will start 😮 You guy’s are thinking correctly no girls around that’s smart 🤔 No computers and no emission control everything is easy to work on, now ask your dad’s about the days of point’s and condenser $5 and a match book and you was off and running, excellent find with that artic cat hope it was deal 👍✌🏻🇺🇸
