I remember this from undergrad years ago. You did a much better job explaining it than the instructor though 😂. Thanks Professor John

It's not lucky. It's called a choice. And it's called good behavior.

There is a good movie about this called Miranda, I believe.

    9:32 Incorrect
Miranda warning is read prior to interrogation not at time of arrest.

Ernesto Miranda's story is so sad. It seems like he was his own worst enemy, and he just never could get it together.

      ....sad? He was a rapist.

I'm sure you probably already know that there's a movie about this on Hulu now and before watching that I had no idea how Miranda Rights came to be. I feel like it def protects the person being arrested and it also protects the case against that person because if Miranda Rights are not read the whole thing can be thrown out.

That clicking sound is VERY distracting.

Sorry, but a career criminal knows exactly what is going on. Plenty of experience

Everybody deserves constitutional rights- even if you think they are a piece of shit. That’s how the constitution works. The best person and the worst person deserve the same amount of rights. If one person is deprived of their rights, everybody is deprived.
