yes that little spot welder will weld you've got the capacitor the little red ones pretty good too getting a little pricey and even the one with the xt90 connector on it is getting a little pricey but they all work you can't overwork them they will burn up how would she just getting some extra mosfets
Got mine, iv tried with my 4wd car battery and my 12v deep cycle and it does basically nothing, on all 4 modes it just pulses and I can flick the nickel strip off of the battery
Mee too. I replaced all supply cables with very tick cables and tried welding pcb and reinforcing pcb trails with copper but it still sucks. Car battery or sealed battery doesnt work. It is useless and I cant think any other improvement anymore.
The kenitic energy comes from the high current creating a magnetic pulse, ever seen the copper wire spinning on a AA battery? Anyhow, we are talking low voltage but exceedingly high current, for 100ms it may be as high as 200Amps then the voltage drop and current shifts after that short burst... I ordered one. Assembled as required. First Attempt to employ I learned it was defective. The Probes were powered as soon as the battery was connected. I have a second on the way. Will see if it has the same issues. Music is PAINFUL . FET's are Switch ON as soon as any power is applied.

They say 45C minimum discharge ..i used 10C 150 AH Solar Inverter Batteries..Not even a small Spark came from it. In Some videos tbey show to weld to make it thick Groud connection. I amnreally disappoint3d with theae boards.. No idea what to make it work !😢
Hey Steve, I am going to buy this welder, I will replace the lugs with 50A ones and I will power it with a 3s lipo. Do you think that way it wil be a decently reliable spotwelder (I am going to make a small 6s3p 18650 pack with it) it would be a great solution since I don’t have the money for a better spotwelder such as the Kweld spotwelder (Maybe sometimes in the future when I will be making bigger battery packs)

Not a relay, the pulsed timed activations are done by the many MOSFETs, typically you can use these as a relay to turn on very high current from a low current source, again they are not for safety but for correctly timed pulse activation
Good intro, look forward to seeing the test with LiPo batteries, whether it can handle 0.2mm? Tiny remark: audio is way too quiet in this vid, maybe next time you could equalize this with music.

Yes it's a good beginners welder if you use .1 & .15 mm then it's gonna work just fine , use 3S lipo battery with at least 50-80C Rating
