Other then the Alears, my favorite has to be Ivy since I manage to finally get one of my favorite characters from Engage.
Absolutely, F!Alear and L!F!Alear. The latter being my first legendary +10, i love her a lot!
I really hope that people get the message that forma rearmed units cannot be inherited, the potential to brick an entire fodder factory is absolutely dangerous, luckily Alfred is a super undesirable fodder factory so the damage should be minimal but I can already see the inevitability of people merging without this information

I think the bigger reason we got Alfred was an excuse to put a rearmed unit on a banner because they sell (especially as I don't believe HoF does not have a spark, aka more spending?)
I have Alfred with fodder from WDimitri and WYunaka.
had 3-4 of him and this is how I gave him value, so definitely not getting a forma to lose the potential for more inheritance of those skills (still have 1 copy left for merging from the Hero Fest)
@@magicball3201His value dwindles the better bandaid weapons come out, since his sole worth is "getting copies to refresh your fodder mule usage", while the demote you can ignore entirely or build them up for self-serving passion projects even if they'll be obsolete within a week or two.
No matter how much you spin it, Alferd's sole value is in the end just being a fodder mule.

Chloe cannot get arcane Qiang, and by extension. Only the rearmed unit can get the arcane weapon.
They somehow managed to make rearmed/echo formas even more worthless...

Unfortunate that Alfred is not a free fodder factory, but cool for all Chloe fans. Tempted to get Celine, but unless I find her super fun I don't think I'll go for it
Not like she even wants his bandaid weapon lol, so that's a very hollow placebo effect.
But if Alfred would be inheritable forma you could be able to give him anything very much rare and and for a forma soul IS would swim in money even these some people who usually don't buy would commit it because its a guaranteed obtain of a unit and with only 1 forma but yeah IS only mostly care to implement more things that would be not that satisfying and a slight satisfying emblem units who are only satisfying because emblem effect and Like is just broken and 90% unbeatable

Rearmed heroes can be used as soon as acquired, regardless if we have a forma one, can't we ? Once the acquired unit shared his skills, he can then join the forma one.
Besides, if a rearmed + forma hero cannot inherit, it doesn't matter thanks to the power creep : his uniqueness comes from being able to share his abilities once and any new one can do so anyway. I never empower ancient units so I really don't see why it should be an issue.

This is a great Forma batch, only downside is that Alfred is literally bait for everyone
Another skill that is exceptionally worth considering for Chloé is Deadly Miasma. That skill is so wildly good that it's honestly crazy it doesn't get more attention. Deadly Miasma is the biggest reason that Attuned Caeda struggles against fliers more than any other movement class.

(additionally, I did get a Dancer Eldigan forma with Deadly Miasma last HoF revival, mostly because he's a grail unit)

Alfred in HoF lore be like: "Finally the final merge for my +10 Rearmed hero, right? Right? 😢" (or how to mess with your whole skill fodder inheritance with one single mistake)
Summer Freyja for HoF would be amazing since i have her with Arcane Nihility and beast sense 4, but not the most premium fodder elsewhere

I'll definitely be going for Chloe. She quite a bit of fun to use. Though I am looking forward to next months HoF. I don't remember all of the previous units that showed up already, but there's a lot of FEH units I'd be willing to pull for regardless.

Quite unfortunate that Alfred will brick your current copy if you decided to merge him up, I suppose this nails the concept of Formas never being able to be foddered.
On the flipside, Chloe getting a free Arcane weapon is sweet even though her Prf still holds up well. Definitely getting a copy of her, thanks for the build suggestions PM1!
I mean...it means Alfred is on the banner itself. Just pull more copies there if you want more. That's the only good side to this.
@@vgmaster02 Or IS could have just made an exception for Rearmed units and made them be fodderable. I don't think anyone is happy that Forma Alfred is locked(and can lock your base Alfred) from being chain fodder.
Him being in the banner doesn't help the case since given the choice, people would prefer not to summon (especially since he's colorsharing with Chloe).

And it was datamined that Rearmed forma units CANNOT BE FODDERED. Forma rearmed units are LITERALLY USELESS. So just suck it up and pull on the banner to get him. Cause that's clearly what IS wants you to do.

But guys why even bother on all that when emblem Ike and duo Lyon still just destroy everything if you play duo Lyon carefully that is but emblem Ike is designed for enemy phase that you just park on the front and let the sweep goes on...I'm not saying everything is useless because this Ike just eats it all but its like if rearmed Alfred would be inheritable forma you give some demote or like not exactly demote a skills that Alfred can equip but the unit you gave it too still can't beat Ike it's a bit like pointless unless you could charge no quarter and hit twice I believe it would beat him🤔
I got Alfred for the Arcane lance but he has been so wonderful to use in content over the months, especially limited abyssals of course.
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! I will FINALLY have Chloé at +10 with the forma!!! Definitely will go for the reccomended build here. Arcane Qiang is a nice bonus. More options, the better. Also thinking of getting Céline as I use her so much. She could use a better kit...
I HOPE Summer Freyja is gonna be on next month's Hall of Form. That'd be an instant pickup! More merges and a better kit for her! I can get her Arcane Nihility, just gonna wait on what skill I could get her IF she is there. And her refine ain't comming until like November 2026 or something ridiculous at this rate, still 2 and a half years from now...Yikes...
The fact that Alfred won't be able to pass any more skills if he's a Forma Soul sucks but there is one positive of rearmed units being in HoF: They get to appear on yet another banner with spark! That way you can get another merge or 2 with relative ease.
Sure, they might take a spot that a better unit could use, but a rearmed appearing is probably still better than the other trash picks we get every once in a while.
Oh damn, I'm tempted to go for almost all of them. I think I'm going to focus on Alear and Chloe however since I've used them the most.
Finally, I can summon one of my favorite Engage waifus, Chloe, without the hassle of summoning or inheriting top tier skills. I also though about getting Celine as well, but too bad I only have 1 Forma Soul left, so I'd choose whoever's got the better build by the end, though I'd prioritize Chloe for being a fav of mine.

My Alear already had A/S Finish 4.
But I managed to get A/S Prime, Potent, and A/S Pledge on the Forma. So merging it. And if the upcoming Mythic and New Heroes are not Goldmary from Engage, I might go in on the HOF banner just for some Alear copies to hope for +10.
I was really hoping for New Years Ash and/or Elm for Heroes HoF, but once they moved Gunnthra to May and I realized all three ice sibling legendaries were rerunning that month, it hit me that with how many legendary/mythic Heroes OCs there are, they're probably gonna dominate the Heroes HoF from here on out...

I really like Céline, so despite the fact I have too many infantry green mages (and too many well invested green mages), I’m probably going for her
Will definitely be picking up F!Alear for a merge. Alfred is debatable since I already have a copy available for foddering so it would be nice to get a version with busted skills for personal use. So he would have to really be worth the Forma.
Is Potent 4 a good B skill for Chloe? I have a option between Potent 4 and Wyvern Rift and I'm not sure which to get xD My Chloe isn't high merge
Pick Potent 4 then! Wyvern Rift is only really useful with Max flowers and merges.
Def res scowl, canny fighter and dragon roar is going to make the next armour dragon forma crazy. I mean it's basically just v!myrrh but they can be a near save too.

What do you think about distant def/res (ninja zelg) for chloe with that kit? I have mine at +10 and SS, shes hitting 54 spd. Dist D/R can help her meet wyvern rift requirement and also give more res for true dmg reduc

Probably not very often. Outside of games that are really out of options like Thracia or something...We might see Duos or Harmonized units in the future though. As some games are really running out of options..."looks at Shadows of Valentia, Thracia, Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, maybe Sacred Stones even".

I know people are let down Alfred isn't free forma fodder, but I think I'll go for him, as I enjoyed Alfred in Engage a lot! Loved making this weak little cavalier prince cause a bloodbath on his wyvern with Hector late game.
I used about 70 orbs I think and I was able to get my first Chloe, along with some other 5* units. I might have 2 forma souls I've been saving, so maybe I'll use one. 😄

PM1, i doubt summer freyja would be there if they're going to all the nifl siblings except ylgr. I feel like they'd put summer nifl there instead because A) that'd make 2 magical and 2 physical and B) would fit in with the nifl siblings
Yes, very valid to suggest that. S!Freyja mainly is there due to Divine Codes. They can very easily do S!Nifl and people will get her with pre-combat damage skills.

I am saddened a bit that D Bonus Doubler isn't present, but I still plan on getting both Alear and Chloe since I kept summoning them and they're fairly highly merged now.
Seeing how cool is Chloé's build, I know that I'll be tempted to use a Forma on her (I'm a sucker for flier units and HoF only makes it worse).
Hmm, now that we are seeing a sudden surge of love for Loki, in the FEH channel, what do you think the odds of Loki being the colorless pick are? Pretty good, or unaffected?
I feel the best way they could handle rearmed forma fodder is adding 2 things
-Not allowing it on an unmerged forma. So you don't get a free round of fodder, but merges will allow it, and open the possibility of merging fodder mules into a forma
-Skills obtained via hall of forms cannot be foddered off. Only ones you inherited to him directly
...then why add it in the first place if you can't benefit from it because the unit themselves is totally ass?
@@reishiki8682 Hall of Forms has always been a mode for decking out characters you personally like. A majority of those who show up in the mode are extremely outdated and has no hopes of being relavent. If your using this mode to get someone meta relavent, you won't find any.
And Alfred is decently popular among the Engage roster.
@@YarharsuperpirateWhich is, what, a minority among a minority? Even if i liked a unit that much I won't turn my brain off for favoritism because i can deck out a singular copy full of skills that'll be invalidated within a week or two *cough*Primes*cough*. In the end it's just for vanity purposes.

It's one thing that you can't fodder rearmed formas to other units, but the fact that you permanently lose out on being able to fodder any other skills on the original copy if you merge that forma is a very nasty side effect from this that essentially kills any reason to use forma souls on rearmed units aside from if you really like that unit. Chalk this up to yet another Baka Systems moment.

Guard bearing for sure. You won’t meet the stat check for most match ups.
Well, I was excited for this HoF. When I saw Alfred I thought my Sharena could finally get a huge boost. Then this video reminded me how Formas work and now I’m back to just clear the event and move on. Ughh

No, the Forma Units cannot be inherited from.
I called Alfred being in this batch with Chloe! But I’m going for Celine since she’s the unit I wanted since she came out. I’d have maybe gone for Falear but since we got the male one free she isn’t as unique

You know I might use your build as a reference the only thing is that what does Phantom RES really do? I am still confuse on how that seal works
for skills that compare stats in order for them to work, phantom skills add +10 to that stat only for the comparison (a 39 res unit versus a 48 res unit would win the stat check with a phantom res skill) @@AndzyGM

It’s not actually +10 to Res, but for Ploy 4 activating, it’s treated like it is.
I sorta agree that Céline is mostly supportive but I dunno about the "enough Res to consistently Ploy even at +0" part - at base she has 38 res, with boon (which you're going to need to spend trait fruit on for Forma Céline) she has 41, and with Still Water 4 that's still only 48, 45 without the res boon.
As for the seals, which you might not be guaranteed to have (or they might be used on somebody else), that's 50/53 with Still Water 3 seal, or an effective res of 55/58 with Phantom Res.
Admittedly you'd be aiming to get SW4 on the forma so the investment cost there isn't really an issue, but like, there are better (F2P even!) dedicated ploy-bots. (Though I guess that's just what happens when you get powercrept within a year of your release?)
Also, I wouldn't say her attack at +0 is that bad, especially for a F2P/F2P-ish player, it's just kinda mid.
I usually use her as the Engage version of Legendary Guinivere though, and her spare copies are just sitting around as manuals 😅

This is a skip for me. I'm waiting for the celestial stone shop to refresh to get a forma soul because I used my last one on Edelgard. I'm waiting to see what heroes hof will give us.
If this Forma banner came a bit earlier, then I would've gone and forma for Alfred or Celine here. Thankfully I manage to get all of the units here. I'm gonna wait for the 3 Houses Revival Hall of Forms to come.

@@PenguinWithInternetAccess No. It's the one with Summer Ingrid, Summer Sylvain, Summer Dorothea, and Summer Lorenz in it. I pretty much have all the CYL 4 units without the forma builds. I'm already satisfied with them.

Yes lol, it's just not pointed out because it's the same in the forma build as in the base kit (at 10:06 you can see it on Alfred with a +Def refine)
Hopefully they change it how the rearmed formas are working in terms of skill inheritance. Not being able to use a rearmed forma for skill inheritance is a big downside.

Can chloe even get arcane qiang in HoF? I spent every torch and 1st kill on her and it didn't appear once. Other people have had the same thing too. If so, rearmed units are even more pointless unless you love that character

3 Legendaries feels very unreal, but who knows? They are really bad and maybe they just want to take them off of the waiting line
Yes, it can be possible. Rearmed Units are going to be a thing going forward and they love putting R!Lif everywhere so it maybe so that he is in that HoF.
It wouldnt be so bad if alfred just didn't have a fodder charge, but the fact he makes any other alfred become unfodderable is a real issue that a lot of people will suffer from. The feh channel was their chance to at least make it really obvious that you won't be able to use this forma like a rearmed unit, but they didn't even mention it.
I don’t think wyvern rift works on Chloé I mean her defense stat is okay, or unless I’m doing it wrong but I do prefer Gambit or potent or that skill Valentian Est got for her B skill even tho it’s not a four tier skill.
Rift works at higher investment since her prf gives her visible stats. She can make full use of it at higher investment and get Flat DR. Sadly, Potent & Guard Bearing 4 give piercable DR but they work at low invest.
I see well I don’t think I noticed anything different since I had that skill equipped on her, and she didn’t take any damage reduction. Since my Chloe got Distant D/R solo, and S/D rein snap, but I changed my C Skill for Deadly Misama but whenever I tried to do everything to meet the quality to make her Wyvern Rift work, unless I’m doing it wrong
You and FEHology have very different Alfred builds; I dont' know whats best
It's unfortunate that Alfred can't be used for fodder, it's even worse for people who have him as a merge project since they would have to redeem this forma and keep it until they have a +9 Alfred through summons if they are also planning to use those copies to pass on fodder, which they likely are considering the unique inheritance mechanics of Rearmed (and attuned) units.
The HoF banner should be sparkable with Alfred there so there's that at least.
It's worse than that for Alfred: you can technically merge allies past +10 (they just won't level up) and rearmed/attuned heroes can refresh their inheritance via merging even past +10. So there's no point in bricking Alfred at +10 since you can merge into him forever!
As much as I want to upgrade my Alear, I gotta wait for Fjorm next month. Been holding out for months to get a chance get some good skills on her 'cause man does she need the help. My fear is that Ascended Laegjarn will also be available in the same batch, 'cause then I GOTTA pick her up too. The problem is that Brave Tiki might show up the following month and I'm trying to build her up too... and I'll only have 2 souls to use by that point, including the free one via the Celestial Stone shop refresh.
Need IS to take pity on me.
And next month you can get her Laguz Friend, as it's gonna be available by then. A big game changer for Fjorm.
Also, I don't think Brave Tiki is gonna show up on a Shadow Dragon Hall of Forms as she is an Awakening unit. So, there is nothing to fear.

13:45 Sucks that they cheated us out of Fjorm. Also feels weird to say you got 2 out of 4 right since those three were all but confirmed until they delayed Fjorm.
Having an arcane weapon means that prf skills will no longer appear after you have it equipped and it will never show up if you have a prf skill equipped in hall of forms.
OTOH, Chloé's only Prf skill is her weapon, and since Rearmed and Attuned heroes can equip an inherited arcane weapon &/or attuned skills at the same time as their own Prf skills (it's in both of the notifications about Rearmed and Attuned Heroes), Alfred should still have Self-Improver show up, even if he has Arcane Qiang (as long as IS programmed the Hall of Forms correctly haha)
As someone who does not do anything too strictly competitive in Feh, can someone explain fully what everyone is talking about by "bricking" Alfred? I'm so lost...
The Alfred forma soul can't be used to pass his arcane weapon and skills to other units. And if you merge it to regular non-forma soul Alfred, he will brick them as well, as in that also your other Alfred units won't be able to pass skill to other units. So if you decide to go for his forma soul, make sure you keep him separated from your other Alfred, or merge them only once you already used them to pass their arcane weapon/skills
